Abstract

PURPOSE:To impart an uneven pattern presenting an external appearance which is equal to that of natural lumper, by a method wherein a deeply colored coating layer is formed on only a high-gravity protrusion of a decorative veneer stuck to the surface of a board and a transparent coating layer is formed on the decorative veneer extending over the whole surface. CONSTITUTION:A veneer 3 of a needle-leaved tree is stuck to a board 1. Then the surface of the veneer 3 of the needle-leaved tree stuck to the board 1 is ground. With this construction, the surface of a spring material part mainly is scraped off and an abrasion quantity is little on the surface of an autumn material part. With this construction, a protrusion 3a and recessed part 3b are formed respectively on the autumn material part and spring material part. Then a coloring coating 5 whose color is deeper than that of the recessed member is applied onto only the protrusion 3a. The coating is not infiltrated into the veneer 3 and application of clear coating free from oozing to the veneer 3 is effected. Then a transparent coating 6 not concealing a material color of the recessed part 3b is applied to the veneer 3 of the needle-leaved tree extending over the whole surface. Gloss of the transparent coating 6 itself is expressed in the protrusion 3a as it is, the gloss of the coating itself is lost in the recessed part 3b: therefore, this part becomes resemblant closely to the spring material part of natural lumber.

(3) After polishing the surface of a decorative board made of a softwood veneer adhered to plywood, etc. to form a concave-convex pattern with concave areas in the spring wood, the entire surface of the decorative board is colored darker than the color of the fall wood. After applying a coloring agent, and then scraping off the colorant adhering to the convex parts of the autumn material, a transparent thermosetting resin is applied to the entire surface so as to fill the concave parts of the spring material, and then dried or hot-press molded. The resulting coniferous decorative board has an uneven feel. Also, instead of using two types of paint, a colorant darker than the color of the autumn wood and a transparent thermosetting resin, a colored transparent thermosetting resin darker than the color of the autumn wood is used. After applying this to the entire surface of the decorative substrate on which the uneven pattern is formed, a coniferous decorative board (Japanese Patent Publication No. 61-138
Publication No. 72).

(1) By artificially forming an annual ring pattern by embossing and applying paraffin coloring to the protrusions, the paraffin's luster is used to express the so-called texture of the autumn wood of natural wood. The difference in gloss between the recesses to which no paraffin is attached becomes too noticeable, and the appearance is far removed from that of natural wood.

(3) The concave parts of the spring wood are filled with a coloring agent or colored transparent thermosetting resin that is darker than the color of the autumn wood, so the concave parts of the spring wood are colored darker than the convex parts of the autumn wood, giving it a wood texture. However, in natural wood, the autumn wood, which has a high specific gravity and high density, has terry and exhibits a darker color than the spring wood. However, it was the opposite of natural wood, giving it an unnatural impression.

Transparent paint is applied to the entire colored convex parts and concave parts where the color of the base material is expressed as is, but in the convex parts made of high specific gravity parts, the gloss of the transparent paint (terry in the autumn wood part) is exhibited as is. On the other hand, since the concave part consists of a low specific gravity part, a considerable amount penetrates and loses its luster, thereby expressing the color tone and texture of the spring wood part of natural wood.

When a hardwood veneer that does not have a clear annual pattern is used, a primary uneven pattern is formed on its surface by compressing it using an embossing machine or the like. As a result, the compressed concave portions have a high specific gravity, and the convex portions that have not been compressed have a relatively low specific gravity, so by subsequent polishing, a large amount of low specific gravity convex portions are ground down to become concave portions, and high specific gravity concave portions become concave portions. On the contrary, a secondary uneven pattern is formed in which the convex portions are left as convex portions.

An arbitrary coloring agent can be added to the adhesive 2 to use it as a colored adhesive. This hides and adjusts the board surface to the same color tone, preventing the board color from affecting the color tone of the thin needle-wood veneer, or conversely, preventing the same color tone imparted by colored adhesive from affecting the color tone of the thin needle-wood veneer. The design can be improved by influencing the color tone of the softwood veneer.

Further, a foaming agent that foams when heated can be added and mixed into the adhesive. In this case, the foaming agent in the adhesive is foamed during hot pressing of the decorative board or by heating after pressing, forming a foamed adhesive layer, which acts as a buffer layer between the board and the softwood veneer, and acts as a buffer layer between the board and the softwood veneer. It is possible to prevent warpage or twisting from occurring due to a marked difference in shrinkage or expansion due to moisture absorption, water absorption, or drying between the softwood veneer and the softwood veneer.

Next, as shown in FIG. 1(e), the entire surface of the softwood veneer 3 including the convex portions 3a coated with the colored paint 5 is coated with concave portions 3b.
A transparent paint 6 that does not hide the color of the material is applied. The transparent paint 6 is appropriately selected from resin paints such as acrylic resin, amino alkyd resin, urethane resin, etc., and may be used as a colored transparent paint after being optionally colored.

Since the suction of paint in the convex portion 3a is very small, the gloss of the transparent paint 6 itself is expressed as is, and together with the color tone given by the colored paint 5, it becomes a material that closely resembles the autumn wood part of natural wood. . On the other hand, in the recess 3b, only the transparent paint 6 is applied, but since this part is made of spring material with relatively low density and low specific gravity and is porous, the recess 3b
In b, a considerable amount of the applied transparent paint 6 is sucked into the veneer 3. Therefore, the gloss of the paint itself is lost, and together with the color of the recessed parts, the paint closely resembles the spring wood of natural wood.

Furthermore, as in the case of Fig. 1, the convex portion 1 on the hardwood veneer
Apply colored paint 15 only on 3a (Fig. 2(f)),
Thereafter, a transparent paint 16 is uniformly applied to the entire surface of the veneer 13 (FIG. 2(f)) to produce a decorative board, which is the final product of the present invention. In this decorative board as well, in the convex portions 13a, the deep color tone due to the colored paint 15 and the remarkable gloss due to the transparent paint 16 combine to give an appearance comparable to the autumn wood portion of natural wood, and the concave portions 13b are transparent. Since the paint 16 slightly penetrates into the veneer, the gloss is lost and the color of the veneer 13 itself appears, giving it an appearance similar to that of the spring wood of natural wood.
