の離脱を行なう型式の管継手において把持具は各爪片基
部に切り欠きを有し、この切り欠きに係合する突起を何
する保持リングによって環状基部を保持されるものであ
り、また第二の発明においては、把持具は、その環状基
部を軸方向から挾圧して保持する横断面略コの字状の挾
持リングを何するものであるから、いずれの構成をとっ
ても、把持具の環状基部は所定形状に保持されることに
なり、このため結合部分に対するねじれや張力などの外
力によって把持具の環状基部が切断された場合において
ら、把持具、特にその爪片が継手本体内の所定位置から
外れることなく、管継手の寿命が大幅に延びるという効
果が得られる。
