Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the KANJI (Chinese character) selecting speed and at the same time to minimize the fatigue of an operator by preparing a radical table which stores the KANJI belonging to the relevant radical together with the number of strokes of said KANJI for each radical forming the KANJI. CONSTITUTION:In case the Japanese reading is unknown with the relevant KANJI and therefore the input of the 1st character is impossible so that the desired KANJI is not obtained, an operator depress a radical input instruction key of an input device 1. Thus a radical input mode signal is sent to a controller 2 from the device 1. The controller 2 reads the radical candidates out of a radical candidate memory area 8a of a radical table 8 in response to the input signal in the number that can be displayed on a display device 7. At the same time, the controller 2 searches the number of strokes of both head and end radicals of the radical candidates out of a KANJI candidate stroke number memory area 8b and delivers visually these searched stroke numbers from the device 7. In such a way, the desired KANJI can be searched from the display of the stroke number of said KANJI since the number of strokes of the head and end KANJI displayed out of the KANJI candidates. Thus it is possible to increase the KANJI selecting speed and also to minimize the fatigue of the operator.

<Prior art> In kanji processing devices such as Japanese word processors and Chinese word 10 setsza, the first character of kana and romaji etc. is converted into the second character, kanji, by referring to a dictionary, and the desired character is converted. However, if you do not know the reading of the desired kanji, display all the kanji including the radicals that make up the kanji, and select the desired kanji from the group of kanji. Kanji were obtained by inputting radicals.

<Problems to be solved by the invention> In displaying kanji candidates in radical input as described above, multiple kanji are displayed at once, and if all kanji are displayed, the display switches to the previous display and displays them one after another. The number of switching display increases as the display amount of the display device decreases and the number of kanji candidates increases.

<Function> When inputting radicals in the kanji processing device of the present invention, by displaying the number of strokes of the kanji candidate as reference information when displaying the kanji candidate, the efficiency of kanji selection is increased, and furthermore, the number of strokes of the kanji candidate is displayed as reference information. By displaying the number of strokes of the first kanji displayed as a candidate and the number of strokes of the last kanji displayed, the range of the currently displayed kanji candidate in terms of the number of strokes can be known, and the operator's effort in selecting kanji can be reduced.

If the desired kanji cannot be obtained because the first character cannot be input because the pronunciation is unknown, the operator presses the radical input instruction key on the input device 1. As a result, the input device 1 outputs a radical input mode signal to the control device 2, which is received by the control device 21d. Radical candidate storage area 8 of the radical table 8.
The number of radical candidates that can be displayed on the display device 7 is read out from a, and the number of strokes of the leading radical and the number of strokes of the trailing radical of the radical candidate are searched from the kanji candidate storage area 8b and stored as kanji candidates. The radical data of the Kanji candidate is stored in the starting address of the area 8c, and the starting address stroke number data of the Kanji candidate stroke number storage area 8b corresponding to the Kanji candidate storage area 8c becomes the number of strokes for the radical), display The device 7 visually outputs the output.

7j is a candidate display area for displaying radical candidates and kanji candidates, and has a capacity to display 10 candidates at one time. 7R
For example, a leading candidate stroke number display area 71 displays the number of strokes of the first candidate among the ten candidates, and a trailing candidate stroke number display area 71 displays the number of strokes of the tenth candidate among the ten candidates. Therefore, by pressing the radical input instruction key described above, the display device 7 displays the information shown in FIG.
In addition to displaying the read radical candidates as shown in FIG. 2, the number of strokes of the first radical candidate "-" is "1" and the number of strokes of the tenth radical candidate "risi" is "2".

If the radicals constituting the desired kanji are not displayed at this stage, by pressing the next candidate display instruction key, the radical candidates that were not displayed last time are read out from the radical tape/L/8. , is displayed in the same format as FIG. 5A. When the radicals constituting the desired kanji are displayed on the display device 7 in this way, the operator selects the desired radical, and this selection corresponds to the number provided corresponding to each radical candidate. This is done by pressing a number key (radical selection instruction key) provided on the input device 1. Therefore, the radical selection instruction signal output from the input device 1 is given to the control device 2, and the control device 2 inputs the kanji candidate memory IJA 8c of the radical table 8.
As many kanji candidates as can be displayed on the display device 7 are read out, and the number of strokes of the first kanji character and the number of strokes of the last kanji character of the radical candidate are stored as kanji candidates. It is searched from the area 8b and visually outputted from the display device 7. ``4゛°, which is the number of strokes of ``bow'', is displayed at 71.If the desired kanji is not displayed at this stage, press the next candidate display instruction key to display the previous displayed kanji. The missing kanji candidates are read out from the kanji candidate storage area 8c of the radical table 8, and displayed on the display device 7 as shown in FIG. 5C, switching to the previous display. It is the same as Fig. 5B, and 7a to 7g have “丛~~

This selection is also the same as radical selection, and the kanji corresponding to each kanji candidate is displayed. This is done by pressing the number key (kanji selection instruction key) provided on the input device 1 that corresponds to the number provided in the control device 1. Therefore, the radical selection instruction signal output from the input device 1 is The control device 2 causes the text storage device 4 to store the kanji data corresponding to the currently displayed kanji selection instruction key, and displays the kanji data mixed with the various characters stored in the text storage device 4. Display it on the device 7 to complete the input of the kanji whose radical is unknown.

<Effects of the Invention> In the radical input of the kanji processing device of the present invention, when a plurality of kanji candidates are displayed, the number of strokes of the first kanji displayed and the number of strokes of the last kanji displayed of the kanji candidates match the kanji selection. Since it is displayed as reference information related to the kanji, there is no need to pass the month through all the displayed kanji, and when the candidate display is changed to the approximate number of strokes of the desired kanji and the number of strokes of the desired kanji is displayed, the screen is displayed. Since it is possible to search for a desired kanji by paying attention to the displayed kanji candidates, it is possible not only to improve the kanji selection speed but also to minimize operator fatigue.
