Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of noise and peeling of a paint film by a method wherein, in center seal rubber of a 4-door hard top type automobile, a fluororesin tape is laminated on the surface on the outside of a car of the upper end part of a mounting base part making contact with the glass guide of the opening edge of a car body. CONSTITUTION:Center seal rubber 2 is formed with a mounting base part 4 formed in an U-shape in cross section engaged with the front edge of a rear door glass 1 and a seal lip 5 formed in a hook-shape in cross section forced into pressure contact with the rear edge of a front glass 3, extended forward from the mounting base part 4, from the inner side of a car. A thin tape 8 of fluororesin, e.g., ethylene polytetrafluoride, is laminated on the surface on the outside of a car of the upper end part of the mounting base part 4. The fluororesin tape 8 is laminated in a manner to extend around the upper end surface of the center seal rubber 2. This constitution prevents the generation of noise occasioned by slide contact with a glass guide and peeling of a paint film due to slide contact.

リ四フフ化エチレン等のフッ素樹脂を薄いテープ状にし
てなるフッ素樹脂テープ8が貼着されている。このフッ
素樹脂テープ8は、概ね前述したガラスガイド7が当接
する範囲に貼着されており、特に第3図に示すように、
センターシールラバー2の上端面まで回り込ませること
で、その上端からの剥離を防止している。尚、このフッ
素樹脂テープ8は、例えば接着剤を介してセンターシー
ルラバー2の成形後に貼着するようにしても良く、ある
いは接着剤が塗布されたフッ素樹脂テープ8を成形金型
内にセットしてセンターシールラバー2の成形と同時に
貼着するようにしても良い。
