Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize the superposition of fixed map information and highly variable information for display on a screen by storing the highly variable information in a 2nd storing means which is rewritable and reading out the contents of the 1st and 2nd storing means to display these contents as a synthetic picture. CONSTITUTION:The map retrieving device is provided with an optical disk 4 which serves as a 1st storing means which stores the fixed map information undergone the compressed coding, an image processor 3 which serves as a means which reads out the contents of the device 4 to apply the coding and expansion to said contents for the picture processing, a keyboard 5 connected to the processor 3, a monitor 1 serving as a means which displays the output of the processor 3. While a magnetic disk device 2 serves as a rewritable 2nd storing means stores the highly variable information. The contents of both devices 2 and 4 are read out to the processor 3 with operation of the keyboard 5 and given to the monitor 1 as a synthetic picture. In such a way, the fixed map information and the highly variable information can be put on each other and displayed on a screen.

情報等は扱えなかった。すなわち、光デイスク装置が書
き換え不可能なために、道路工事中の表示を地図上に記
入して光デイスク装置に蓄積すると光デイスク媒体がす
ぐ−ばいになったり、消防自動車の位置情報等のような
リアルタイム情報は、光デイスク装置に蓄積できない欠
点があった。

の蓄積手段を備え、上記画像処理を行う手段は、上記第
二の蓄積手段の内容と上記第一の蓄積手段の内容とを読
出して合成画像として上記表示する手段に与える手段を
含むことを特徴とする。

、その結果がイメージメモリ上で地図情報と合成され、

図情報とベクトル情報とは合成される。

を備え、 上記画像処理を行う手段は、上記第二の蓄積手段の内容
と上記第一の蓄積手段の内容とを読出して合成画像とし
て上記表示する手段に与える手段を含むことを特徴とす
る地図検索装置。
