Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily vary the pressing pressure of a wiper arm by providing a pressure arm on the same axis as that of a shaft support portion of the wiper arm, oscillating the pressure arm by driving means, and bringing the pressure arm into contact with the wiper arm at a designated position through a contact portion. CONSTITUTION:The base end portion of a fixed member 2 is fitted in the upper end of a pivot shaft 1 turned to reciprocate by a motor, and one end of a link 31 of a wiper arm 3 is supported on the fixed member 2 in such a manner as to freely oscillate by a support shaft 22. A pressure lever 4 is supported by the support shaft 22 and disposed on the fixed member 2, and a coil spring 5 is stretched between the pressure lever 4 and a rod 33. The other end 42 of the pressure lever 4 is positioned above the pivot shaft 1 and brought into contact with the upper end portion 61 of a piston 6 which is disposed as driving means in the interior of the pivot shaft 1.
