(Background technology) For example, an opening is provided in the roof of a house, and a greenhouse-like shed 1 as shown in FIG. Light is brought into the room through shed 1. The roof surface of such a hut 1 is sloped in the shape of a single roof or, as in the illustrated example, in the shape of a double roof, and an opening/closing window for ventilation is provided at the top of each slope. Figure 2 shows the structure of the opening/closing window support part at the upper end of the roof of such a shed 1. The opening/closing window 4 is attached to the upper frames 3, 3 connected to the cover plate 2 forming the top of the roof. It is supported so as to be swingable around a shaft bearing part 6 provided at 5. Edges of glasses 9, 9 (in the illustrated example, the opening/closing window 4 is a double glass window) are supported in the groove formed on the inner surface of the upper stile 5.

By the way, the upper frame 3 that constitutes such an inclined window
Since the upper stile 5 and the upper stile 5 are made of extruded aluminum material with good heat conductivity, water vapor in the indoor air tends to condense on the indoor surfaces of these members 3 and 5 when there is a large temperature difference between indoors and outdoors. In this way, the condensed water adhering to the surfaces of the upper frame 3 and upper stile 5 tends to flow downward along the surfaces of each member. Therefore, a gutter material 8 having an L-shaped cross section is fixed to the lowermost end of the upper frame 3 via a heat insulating material 7, and the gutter material 8 collects the condensed water flowing down the surface of the upper frame 3. It is being considered to discharge the water to the outside through a vertical frame or mullion (both not shown). However, the upper stile 5 of the opening/closing window 4, which is constructed independently of the main body of the shed 1 and swings along with the main body 1 when opening and closing, cannot be provided with a drainage structure using such a gutter material 8. Can not. In other words, even if a gutter material is provided at the lowest position of the upper stile 5, the condensed water collected in the gutter material cannot be discharged to the outside, and the condensed water collected in the gutter material flows through the opening/closing window. When the gutter material 4 is opened, it overflows from the gutter material and flows downward all at once. For this reason, if a normal extruded material with a rectangular cross section is used as the upper stile 5 that constitutes the sloped roof surface of the shed 1, as shown in FIG. 2, it will adhere to the indoor surface of the upper stile 5. The condensed water flows down the surface, collects at the lower end portion 5a, and drips downward one after another.
The condensed water dripping from the upper end of the daylighting shed 1 directly reaches the interior of the room, which is undesirable as it gives discomfort to the occupants and stains the floor surface.

(Purpose of the present invention) In order to solve the above-mentioned inconveniences, the present invention
It is an object of the present invention to provide an upper stile having a shape that allows condensed water attached to the indoor surface to guide the condensed water so that it flows down along the lower surface of the glass supported below the upper stile, instead of dripping as it is. .

(Structure of the present invention) The slanted upper stile for a window of the present invention has an indoor side wall surface that is inclined with respect to the side formed by the indoor side portion of a conventional upper stile, so that the lower end of the upper stile when the window is closed. This part is aligned with the glass support on the inner edge of this upper stile.

(Operation of the present invention) When an inclined opening/closing window is constructed using the upper stile for a slanted window of the present invention constructed as described above, the condensed water adhering to the indoor surface of the upper stile flows along this surface. Since the condensed water flows down onto the glass support at the lower end of the upper stile and flows down along the lower surface of the glass, condensed water is prevented from dripping directly from the upper stile.

FIG. 3 shows an embodiment of the invention. The indoor side wall surface 5b of the upper stile 5 supported on the upper frame 3 by the shaft bearing part 6 has an L-shaped cross section with a lower end portion 5a formed in the middle, as in the conventional case shown in FIG. It is tilted with respect to other walls so as to form the hypotenuse of a right triangle. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 3, when the opening/closing window 4 is in the closed state, the lower end position of the upper stile 3 is located at the groove 1 that supports the edge of the glass 9.
This is the end edge of the indoor wall surface 5b forming one side of 0.

Since the cross-sectional shape of the upper stile 5 is formed as described above, the condensed water adhering to the indoor surface of the upper stile 5 flows down toward the groove 10 along the lower surface of the wall surface 5b, and flows between the groove 10 and the glass. The sealing material 11 flows on the surface of the sealing material 11 that closes the gap between the glass 9 and the glass 9 , reaches the lower surface of the glass 9 , and flows down along the lower surface of the glass 9 . The condensed water that flows down the lower surface of the glass then flows down the surface of the lower stile,
It is collected by a suitable means such as a gutter provided in the lower frame and discharged through a vertical frame or mullion.

(Effects of the present invention) Since the upper stile for inclined windows of the present invention is configured and operates as described above, it can effectively prevent the condensed water adhering to the upper stile from dripping into the room, causing no harm to the occupants. It does not give a pleasant feeling or stain the floor surface etc.
