Abstract

PURPOSE: To inhibit entering of a finger or the like and eliminate the risk of finger's being caught in a door by fitting an expansible cover in a gap produced on the shaft side of a door when the door is opened. CONSTITUTION: This safety cover 3 is formed by an expansible part and a fitting part, and fixed to a door 1 and a wall 2 by a screw or the like. When the door 1 is opened, the expansible part of the cover is pulled by the door 1 to be expanded, thereby blocking a gap between the door 1 and the wall 2. As the door 1 is closed, the expansible part of the cover 3 is contracted.
