Abstract

[Problem] To provide a toilet paper holder that can realize a toilet paper tip unwinding mechanism at low cost and can be applied to existing toilet paper holders with improvements. [Solution] A roll of toilet paper with a cylindrical core is rotatably supported. A cover 3 is provided for pressing against the toilet paper from above on the front side of the toilet paper to cut the toilet paper. A pair of support parts 4 are inserted inside both ends of the core while being constrained from rotating around the central axis of the core. Description

The present invention relates to a toilet paper holder that rotatably supports a roll of toilet paper with a cylindrical core and has a cover for cutting the toilet paper by pressing the front side of the toilet paper from above.

In conventional toilet paper holders, when a roll of toilet paper is cut, the tip of the toilet paper is hidden by a cover, so the next time it is used, the toilet paper must be turned to unroll the tip. To solve this problem, an automatic roll paper end unrolling device has been disclosed in which, when the cutter plate is pressed to cut the roll paper, the bobbin shaft on which the roll paper is axially mounted is pushed up into the inclined bearing section, and when the cutter plate is released, the bobbin shaft with the roll paper attached is converted into rotational motion as it descends under its own weight into the magnetic inclined bearing section, automatically unrolling the end of the roll paper by an appropriate amount (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

However, the automatic dispensing device described in Patent Document 1 has a unique configuration, including an inclined bearing and a bobbin shaft with a permanent magnet attached, so it cannot be attached to existing toilet paper holders and must be replaced with a new one, which creates the problem of high costs for installation.

The present invention was made with an eye on these issues, and aims to provide a toilet paper holder that can inexpensively realize a mechanism for feeding out the tip of the toilet paper and that can be adapted to existing toilet paper holders with some modifications.

To achieve the above object, the toilet paper holder of the present invention is a toilet paper holder that rotatably supports a roll of toilet paper having a cylindrical core, and has a cover for pressing against the toilet paper from above on the front side of the toilet paper to cut the toilet paper, and is characterized by having a pair of support parts that are inserted inside both ends of the core and are restrained from rotating around the central axis of the core, and a biasing member that is fixed to the upper part of each support part and abuts against the upper inner peripheral surface of the core when pressed from above by the cover, and biases the upper inner peripheral surface with a rotational force from the back side to the front side.

When the toilet paper holder of the present invention is used to pull out and cut off a roll of toilet paper, the cover is pressed against the toilet paper from above, and the toilet paper is cut with the tip of the cover. When pressed from above by the cover, the biasing member comes into contact with the upper inner peripheral surface of the toilet paper core, and applies a rotational force from the back to the front to the upper inner peripheral surface. After the toilet paper is cut, when the pressing force on the cover is removed, the rotational force of the biasing member rotates the upper inner peripheral surface of the core from the back to the front, allowing the tip of the toilet paper to be unwound. In this way, with a simple configuration for the support part and biasing member, a mechanism for unwounding the tip of the toilet paper can be realized at low cost, and it can be applied to existing toilet paper holders by improving the process by fixing the biasing member to the support part.

In the toilet paper holder according to the present invention, the biasing member is made of a pair of leaf springs formed by bending a plate material at an acute angle, with one of the two outer surfaces fixed along the upper part of each support part with the bent part facing the front, and is arranged on the support part so that when pressed from above by the cover, the upper end abuts against the upper inner peripheral surface of the core and biases a rotational force from the back side to the front side against the upper inner peripheral surface, and the upper end may have a non-slip surface.

In this case, the biasing member can be inexpensively constructed from a leaf spring formed by bending a plate material at an acute angle. The anti-slip feature also makes it easier to transmit the biasing force of the biasing member to the upper inner peripheral surface of the core. Since the pair of biasing members are each fixed to a pair of support parts, when cutting out the toilet paper, the position of the cover that is pressed against the toilet paper can be shifted toward one of the pair of biasing members, so that the biasing force of the biasing member that is shifted is greater than that of the other biasing member, and the toilet paper on one side that is shifted can be dispensed longer than the other side. This makes it easier to use depending on the user's dominant hand and habits. Also, by pressing the cover more strongly, the tip of the toilet paper can be dispensed longer.

In the toilet paper holder of the present invention, the biasing member is made of a pair of open/close members formed by bending a plate material at an acute angle, with one of the two outer sides fixed along the top of each support part with the bent part facing the front, and each biasing member has two magnets of the same polarity that repel each other facing each other on the two inner sides, and is always open, and when pressed from above by the cover, the upper end abuts against the upper inner surface of the core, and the repulsive force of the magnets applies a rotational force from the back side to the front side against the upper inner surface, and the upper end may have an anti-slip surface.

In this case, the biasing member can be inexpensively constructed using an opening/closing member and a magnet in the shape of a plate bent at an acute angle. In addition, the anti-slip feature makes it easier to transmit the biasing force of the biasing member to the upper inner peripheral surface of the core. Since the pair of biasing members are each fixed to a pair of support parts, when cutting out the toilet paper, the position of the cover pressed against the toilet paper can be shifted to one of the pair of biasing members, so that the biasing force of the magnet of the biasing member that has been shifted is greater than that of the other biasing member, and the toilet paper on one side that has been shifted can be dispensed longer than the other side. This makes it easier to use depending on the user's dominant hand and habits. In addition, by pressing the cover harder, the tip of the toilet paper can be dispensed longer.

The present invention provides a toilet paper holder that can realize a toilet paper tip feeding mechanism at low cost and can be adapted to existing toilet paper holders with some modifications.

Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
1 to 3 show a toilet paper holder according to an embodiment of the present invention.
The toilet paper holder is used to rotatably support a roll of toilet paper T having a cylindrical core TS.

As shown in FIG. 1, the toilet paper holder has a back panel 1, a pair of side panels 2, a cover 3, a pair of support parts 4, and a pair of urging members 5. The back panel 1 is a rectangular plate material and has a bolt hole 1a for fixing to the toilet wall. The pair of side panels 2 are each made of a rectangular plate material. One longitudinal end of each side panel 2 is fixed perpendicularly to the longitudinal end of the back panel 1, and they face each other in parallel on the front side of the back panel 1. Each side panel 2 has a vertically extending recess 2a on the inner side facing each other. The cover 3 is made of a rectangular plate material large enough to cover the upper part of the space sandwiched between the pair of side panels 2. The cover 3 has a cutter part 3a on the front edge for cutting the toilet paper T by pressing it from above. The cover 3 is rotatably supported on the inner upper part of each side panel 2 near the back panel 1, and the cutter part 3a can move up and down.

The pair of support parts 4 are each made of a long and thin plate material. Each support part 4 is rotatably supported on the lower side walls of each recess 2a, and can be positioned in a position stored in each recess 2a or a position protruding inward from each recess 2a. Each support part 4 is normally positioned in a position protruding inward due to its own weight. When protruding inward, each support part 4 protrudes at a right angle to each side panel 2, and the upper surface can be positioned horizontally. The pair of support parts 4 are arranged in a straight line at the positions protruding inward. The pair of support parts 4 are inserted inside both ends of the core TS of the toilet paper T, while being restricted from rotating around the central axis of the core TS.

As shown in Fig. 2, each of the pair of biasing members 5 is made of a leaf spring formed by bending a single metal flat plate at an acute angle, for example, about 30 degrees to 70 degrees, particularly about 45 degrees. Each biasing member 5 has one of the two outer surfaces fixed along the upper part of each support part 4 with the bent part 5a facing the front side. Each biasing member 5 is arranged on the support part 4 so that when pressed from above by the cover 3, the upper end abuts on the upper inner peripheral surface of the core TS of the toilet paper T and is bent to bias a rotational force from the back side to the front side against the upper inner peripheral surface. Each biasing member 5 has a non-slip surface 5b at its upper end. The non-slip surface 5b is made of, for example, a rubber material.
As shown in FIG. 3, the toilet paper holder rotatably supports the toilet paper T by inserting a support portion 4 and a biasing member 5 onto a core TS of the toilet paper T.

Next, the operation will be described.
The toilet paper holder rotatably supports the toilet paper T by inserting a pair of support parts 4 into the core TS of the roll of toilet paper T. When the toilet paper T is pulled out and cut off, the cover 3 is pressed against the toilet paper T from above and the toilet paper T is cut by the tip of the cover 3. In a conventional toilet paper holder, when the toilet paper T is pressed from above with a finger from above the cover 3, the toilet paper T is pushed toward the back and moves, and when the toilet paper T is cut and the finger is released from the cover 3, the tip of the toilet paper T retracts from the cutter part 3a of the cover 3 to the back as the toilet paper T returns to its original position.

In contrast, in the toilet paper holder according to the embodiment of the present invention, when the toilet paper T is pressed from above by the cover 3, the urging member 5 comes into contact with the upper inner peripheral surface of the core TS of the toilet paper T and applies a rotational force from the back side to the front side to the upper inner peripheral surface. After the toilet paper T is cut, when the pressing force on the cover 3 is removed, the rotational force of the urging member 5 rotates the upper inner peripheral surface of the core TS from the back side to the front side, and the tip of the toilet paper T can be unrolled so that it protrudes from the cover 3 to the front. In this way, with a simple configuration of the support portion 4 and the urging member 5, a mechanism for unrolling the tip of the toilet paper T can be realized at low cost, and it can be applied to existing toilet paper holders by improving the fixing of the urging member 5 to the support portion 4.

The toilet paper holder can inexpensively construct the biasing member 5 using a leaf spring formed by bending a plate material at an acute angle. In addition, the slip prevention 5b makes it easier to transmit the biasing force of the biasing member 5 to the upper inner peripheral surface of the core TS. Since the pair of biasing members 5 are fixed to the pair of support parts 4, when cutting out the toilet paper T, the position of the cover 3 that is pressed against the toilet paper T can be shifted to one of the pair of biasing members 5, so that the biasing force of the biasing member 5 on the shifted side can be made greater than that of the other biasing member 5, and the toilet paper T on one side can be dispensed longer than the other side. This makes it easier to use depending on the dominant hand and habits. In addition, by pressing the cover 3 more strongly, the tip of the toilet paper T can be dispensed longer.

The biasing member 5 may be made of a magnet. In this case, as shown in FIG. 4, the biasing member 5 is made of a pair of opening and closing members in the shape of a plate material bent at an acute angle. The biasing member 5 has one of the two outer sides fixed along the upper part of each support part 4 with the bent part 5a facing the front side. Each biasing member 5 has two magnets 6a, 6b of the same polarity that repel each other, facing each other, on its two inner sides, and is always open. When pressed from above by the cover 3, the upper end of each biasing member 5 abuts against the upper inner peripheral surface of the core TS, and the repulsive force of the magnets applies a rotational force from the back side to the front side against the upper inner peripheral surface. Each biasing member 5 may have a non-slip surface 5b on its upper end.

When the magnets 6a and 6b are used in this way, the urging member 5 can be inexpensively constructed using the magnets 6a and 6b and the opening and closing member formed by bending a plate material at an acute angle. In addition, the slip prevention member 5b makes it easier to transmit the urging force of the urging member 5 to the upper inner peripheral surface of the core TS. Since the pair of urging members 5 are fixed to the pair of support parts 4, when cutting out the toilet paper T, the position of the cover 3 pressed against the toilet paper T can be moved toward one of the pair of urging members 5, so that the urging force of the magnet of the one urging member 5 that has been moved toward the other urging member 5 can be made greater than that of the other urging member 5, and the toilet paper T on one side that has been moved toward the other side can be unwound longer. This makes it easier to use depending on the user's dominant hand and habits. In addition, by pressing the cover 3 more strongly, the tip of the toilet paper T can be unwound longer.

The cutter section 3a may be made of the toilet paper cutter disclosed in Japanese Patent No. 7242024 by the present inventor. That is, as shown in Fig. 5, the toilet paper holder may be configured to have a first cutter section along the toilet paper T side surface of the cover 3 for a predetermined length from one end in the width direction of the toilet paper T attached to the toilet paper holder, and a second cutter section along the opposite toilet paper T side surface of the cover 3 for a predetermined length from the other end in the width direction.
In this case, the toilet paper T can be pulled out even more easily.
The toilet paper holder may also have a member to prevent the toilet paper T from turning over.

The toilet paper holder according to the embodiment of the present invention can be suitably used in hospital toilets, toilets in elderly care facilities, public toilets, convenience store toilets, etc.
