Description

The present invention relates to a railway vehicle equipped with a storage box for evacuation equipment, and more particularly to a railway vehicle in which evacuation equipment can be smoothly installed while ensuring space for passengers.

When a train makes an emergency stop between stations, passengers may be allowed to exit the train onto the tracks through the door opening using escape equipment such as ladders or ramps. Patent Document 1 discloses that the escape equipment is stored in a storage space provided on either the left or right wall near the door opening. In this way, the escape equipment is stored within the passenger compartment, making it easy to install the escape equipment at the door opening.

However, the above-mentioned conventional technology has the problem that the space available for passengers to stand near the door opening is narrowed by the space in which the evacuation equipment is stored.

The present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned problems, and has an object to provide a railway vehicle equipped with an equipment storage box for evacuation equipment that can be smoothly installed while ensuring space for passengers.

In order to achieve this object, the railway vehicle of the present invention comprises an appliance storage box in which evacuation equipment for allowing passengers to disembark from the vehicle onto the tracks is stored, and a luggage shelf provided in the passenger compartment to which the appliance storage box is fixed, the appliance storage box having a bottom wall that forms the bottom of the appliance storage box and is placed on the luggage shelf so that the evacuation equipment can be placed on top , and an outer wall that rises from the outside of the vehicle in the sleeper direction of the bottom wall, a box body fixed on the luggage shelf with an opening formed on the inside and upper side of the vehicle in the sleeper direction through which the evacuation equipment can be put in and taken out, and a cover that opens and closes the opening of the box body , the space above the luggage shelf is open to the inside of the vehicle, the appliance storage box is fixed on top of a part of the luggage shelf which is long in the rail direction, and there are no appliance storage boxes on either side of the appliance storage box in the rail direction.

According to the railway vehicle of claim 1, since the box body of the equipment storage box is fixed on the luggage shelf in the passenger compartment, the space for passengers to stand is not occupied by the equipment storage box, and passenger space can be secured. Furthermore, since the equipment storage box is located inside the passenger compartment, evacuation equipment can be smoothly installed.

Since the opening that is opened and closed by the cover is formed not only on the inside of the car in the direction of the sleepers of the box body but also on the upper side, the evacuation equipment can be removed not only by sliding it toward the inside of the car in the direction of the sleepers relative to the box body, but also by tilting the evacuation equipment. In particular, even if the equipment storage box is located high up on the luggage shelf, the evacuation equipment can be easily removed by tilting the front side of the evacuation equipment that has come out of the opening downward. This allows the evacuation equipment to be installed more smoothly.
Furthermore, the space above the luggage rack is open to the inside of the vehicle, the instrument storage box is fixed on top of a part of the luggage rack that is long in the rail direction, and there are no instrument storage boxes on either side of the luggage rack in the rail direction. This makes it difficult to impair the convenience of passengers who use the luggage rack.

According to the railway vehicle of claim 2, when the box body is fixed on the luggage shelf, the bottom wall of the box body is inclined downward toward the inside of the car in the direction of the sleepers. This makes it easier to slide the evacuation equipment forward along the bottom wall, thereby achieving the effect of claim 1 and making it easier to take out the evacuation equipment from the equipment storage box on the luggage shelf.

According to the railway vehicle of claim 3, the box body has a lower protrusion that rises from the inside of the vehicle in the direction of the sleepers of the bottom wall and forms the lower edge of the opening. This allows the lower protrusion to function as a fulcrum when tilting the evacuation equipment to remove it, thereby making it easier to remove the evacuation equipment in addition to the effects of claim 1 or 2.

According to the railcar of claim 4, a slide mechanism is provided for sliding the cover in the rail direction relative to the box body, so that the cover can be easily opened and closed even if the instrument storage box is located in a high place such as on a luggage rack. Furthermore, since luggage racks are usually sufficiently long in the rail direction, when the instrument storage box is placed on the luggage rack, it is easy to secure space for sliding the cover in the rail direction. As a result, in addition to the effects of any of claims 1 to 3, the operability of opening and closing the cover can be improved.

According to the railway vehicle of claim 5, the box body has a pair of end walls connected to both ends of the bottom wall and the outer wall in the rail direction, respectively. This increases the rigidity of the box body, and in addition to the effect of claim 4, it is possible to suppress the load applied to the slide mechanism due to deformation of the box body, and to suppress rattling of the slide mechanism. Furthermore, the end walls can prevent the evacuation equipment inside the box body from sliding together with the cover.

The railway vehicle according to claim 6 is provided with a handrail bar from which a handrail is suspended. The handrail bar is fixed to the ceiling along the rail direction so as to be located on the inside of the vehicle in the sleeper direction of the luggage rack and the tool storage box. Therefore, if the evacuation equipment is simply slid toward the inside of the vehicle in the sleeper direction relative to the box body, the evacuation equipment to be removed may interfere with the handrail bar. However, since the opening of the box body is formed not only on the inside of the vehicle in the sleeper direction of the box body but also on the upper side, the evacuation equipment can be removed while tilting it so that it does not interfere with the handrail bar. Therefore, in addition to the effects of any of claims 1 to 5, it is possible to make it easier to remove the evacuation equipment even in a railway vehicle in which the handrail bar is located in front of the luggage rack.

1 is a cross-sectional view of a railway vehicle in which an instrument storage box according to a first embodiment is installed. FIG. 2 is a front view of the instrument storage box as seen from the direction of arrow II in FIG. 1 . 3 is a cross-sectional view of the instrument storage box taken along line III-III in FIG. 2. FIG. 11 is a cross-sectional view of an instrument storage box according to a second embodiment. 1A is a bottom perspective view of the cover, and FIG. 1B is an top perspective view of the box body.

The preferred embodiment will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. First, a railway vehicle 10 equipped with an instrument storage box 20 according to the first embodiment will be described with reference to Figs. 1 and 2. Fig. 1 is a cross-sectional view perpendicular to the rail direction (vehicle length direction) of the railway vehicle 10, showing the vicinity of the instrument storage box 20. Fig. 2 is a front view of the instrument storage box 20 as seen from the direction of arrow II in Fig. 1.

As shown in Figures 1 and 2, a railway vehicle 10 mainly comprises an underframe (not shown), a side structure 11 erected at the end of the underframe in the sleeper direction (vehicle width direction) to form a side wall surface, and a roof structure 12 connected to the upper end of the side structure 11. A passenger compartment 13 is formed in the area surrounded by these structures. A plurality of handrail rod receivers 14 lined up in the rail direction protrude downward from the ceiling 13a of the passenger compartment 13 formed by the roof structure 12. Handrail rods 15 extending in the rail direction are supported at the lower ends of these handrail rod receivers 14. A plurality of handrails 16 are suspended and supported by the handrail rods 15.

From the top of the side structure 11, a luggage rack 17 for passengers to place their luggage protrudes toward the inside of the vehicle in the sleeper direction (hereinafter simply referred to as the "inside of the vehicle"). The luggage rack 17 is equipped with multiple support plates 18 fixed to the side structure 11 and arranged at approximately equal intervals in the rail direction, and multiple connecting rods 19a, 19b, 19c that connect the multiple support plates 18. Multiple connecting rods 19b are arranged on the same plane that slopes downward toward the outside of the vehicle in the sleeper direction (hereinafter simply referred to as the "outside of the vehicle"), with the innermost connecting rod 19a located below that plane and the outermost connecting rod 19c located above that plane.

A tool storage box 20 is fixed on the luggage shelf 17. A folded-up evacuation ladder (evacuation tool) 21 is stored in the tool storage box 20 to allow passengers to disembark onto the tracks from the railway vehicle 10 that has made an emergency stop. Note that each drawing shows the stored evacuation ladder 21 diagrammatically.

In this way, since the equipment storage box 20 is fixed on the luggage shelf 17 of the passenger compartment 13, the space in the passenger compartment 13 where passengers can stand is not occupied by the equipment storage box 20, and space for passengers can be secured. Furthermore, since the evacuation ladder 21 is stored in the equipment storage box 20 in the passenger compartment, the evacuation ladder 21 can be smoothly installed in the door opening when the door 11a of the side structure 11 is opened. Also, by displaying on the equipment storage box 20 that the evacuation ladder 21 is stored therein, passengers can be reassured that they can evacuate smoothly in the event of an emergency.

The equipment storage box 20 is placed between the second and third support plates 18 from the door 11a side. This allows the escape ladder 21 to be installed in the door opening when the door 11a is open to be stored near the door 11a while leaving the luggage rack 17 near the door 11a, which is used relatively frequently, free. This makes it possible to smoothly install the escape ladder 21 removed from the equipment storage box 20 while preventing the inconvenience to passengers using the luggage rack 17.

Referring to FIG. 3 in addition to FIG. 2, each part of the tool storage box 20 will be described in detail. FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the tool storage box 20 taken along line III-III in FIG. 2. The tool storage box 20 comprises a box body 22 that is fixed onto the luggage shelf 17 and stores the escape ladder 21, a cover 40 that opens and closes the opening 30 of the box body 22 to insert and remove the escape ladder 21, and known slide mechanisms 46, 47 that slide the cover 40 in the rail direction relative to the box body 22.

The box body 22 is provided with a bottom wall 23 that is placed on the luggage shelf, an outer wall 24 that rises from the edge of the bottom wall 23 on the outer side of the vehicle, a pair of end walls 25 that are respectively connected to both ends of the bottom wall 23 and the outer wall 24 in the rail direction, an upper protrusion 26 that protrudes slightly from the upper edge of the outer wall 24 toward the inside of the vehicle, a lower protrusion 27 that rises slightly from the edge of the bottom wall 23 on the inner side of the vehicle, and a protective piece 28 that protrudes slightly from the upper edge of the lower protrusion 27 toward the inside of the vehicle.

These sections from the bottom wall 23 to the protective piece 28 are made of rectangular metal plates, and a rubber membrane 29 is attached to the inner surface of each section except for the protective piece 28. The rubber membrane 29 reduces the vibration of the escape ladder 21 stored inside the box body 22, and also makes it difficult for the vibration noise to leak outside the equipment storage box 20. Because the protective piece 28 does not have a rubber membrane 29, the escape equipment 21 can be easily removed by sliding it over the protective piece 28.

The box body 22 has an opening 30 formed on the inside and upper side of the vehicle, through which the escape ladder 21 can be inserted and removed. That is, the upper overhang 26 forms the edge of the opening 30 on the outside of the vehicle, the lower overhang 27 and the protective piece 28 form the lower edge of the opening 30, and the end wall 25 forms the edge of the opening 30 in the direction of the rail.

The bottom wall 23 is a flat plate that forms the bottom surface of the tool storage box 20. The bottom wall 23 is fixed by U-bolts 31 to the innermost connecting rods 19b and 19c among the connecting rods 19b arranged on the same plane. This allows the tool storage box 20 to be easily retrofitted onto the luggage rack 17 of an existing railway car. The luggage rack 17 having the connecting rods 19a, 19b, and 19c is often provided on commuter railway cars 10. In commuter railway cars, the luggage rack 17 is used infrequently by passengers, so the placement of the tool storage box 20 allows the space above the luggage rack 17 to be effectively utilized.

The bottom wall 23 fixed to the luggage shelf 17 slopes downward toward the inside of the vehicle. To prevent the escape ladder 21 placed on the bottom wall 23 from sliding toward the inside of the vehicle, the escape ladder 21 is fixed to the bottom wall 23 by a belt 33 extending from a belt stopper 32 fixed to the upper surface of the bottom wall 23.

The outer wall 24 is a flat plate that constitutes the surface of the tool storage box 20 on the outer side of the vehicle, and is formed perpendicular to the bottom wall 23. The pair of end walls 25 are flat plates that respectively constitute both sides of the tool storage box 20 in the rail direction, and are formed perpendicular to the bottom wall 23 and the outer wall 24. The distance between the outer surfaces of the pair of end walls 25 is set to be slightly smaller than the spacing between adjacent support plates 18. This allows the box body 22 to be positioned between the support plates 18, and the support plates 18 can restrict movement of the box body 22 in the rail direction.

The upper overhang 26 is a rib for reinforcing the outer wall 24. A metal fitting 26a with an L-shaped cross section perpendicular to the rail direction is fixed to the top surface of the upper overhang 26. A slide mechanism 47 is attached to the outside of the vehicle at the part of this metal fitting 26a that rises from the upper overhang 26 via an adjustment liner 49 made of resin such as rigid polyvinyl chloride. When the escape ladder 21 is inserted or removed, the metal fitting 26a makes it less likely that the escape ladder 21 will hit the slide mechanism 47.

The lower projection 27 is a rib for reinforcing the bottom wall 23. Even if the escape ladder 21 slides on the bottom wall 23 when the belt 33 is removed to remove the escape ladder 21 from the tool storage box 20, the lower projection 27 makes it difficult for the escape ladder 21 to slide down from the box body 22 toward the front. As a result, safety can be improved when removing the escape ladder 21.

A slide mechanism 46 is attached to the inside of the vehicle of the lower projection 27 via a resin adjustment liner 48. The protective piece 28 is connected to the lower projection 27 so as to cover the upper side of the slide mechanism 46. This makes it difficult for the protective piece 28 to hit the slide mechanism 46 when the evacuation ladder 21 is inserted or removed.

The cover 40 is a double-leaf door that is divided in two at the center in the rail direction. Specifically, the cover 40 opens and closes on either side in the rail direction relative to the box body 22 by means of slide mechanisms 46, 47. The slide mechanisms 46, 47 are configured so that the cover 40 can slide beyond both edges in the rail direction of the opening 30 of the box body 22. Also, Figure 2 shows the cover 40 on the left side of the page open and the cover 40 on the right side of the page closed.

The cover 40 mainly comprises an inner wall 41 that covers the inside of the box body 22, a ceiling wall 42 that extends from the upper edge of the inner wall 41 to the outside of the vehicle and covers the upper side of the box body 22, a reinforcing portion 43 that serves as a reinforcing rib that protrudes slightly from both edges of the inner wall 41 and the ceiling wall 42 in the rail direction, a hanging portion 42a that extends downward from the outer end of the ceiling wall 42, and a protective portion 42b that extends from the lower end of the inner wall 41 to the outside of the vehicle. The inner wall 41, the ceiling wall 42, the reinforcing portion 43, the hanging portion 42a, and the protective portion 42b are formed from rectangular metal plates, and a rubber film 29 is attached to the inner surface of the inner wall 41 and the ceiling wall 42. The rubber film 29 of the cover 40, like the rubber film 29 of the box body 22, can reduce the vibration of the escape ladder 21 and make it difficult for the vibration sound to leak outside the tool storage box 20.

The inner wall 41 is a flat plate that constitutes the surface of the tool storage box 20 on the inside of the vehicle. A slide mechanism 46 is attached to the lower part of the inner wall 41. The protective part 42b makes the slide mechanism 46 less visible to passengers and protects the slide mechanism 46. The inner wall 41 is provided with a handle 44 for manually sliding the cover 40 and a lock part 45 for locking the cover 40 in the closed state. The lock by the lock part 45 is released by a key held by a crew member. The lock part 45 may be an electric lock that is unlocked when the power supply to the railway vehicle 10 is cut off. In this case, passengers themselves can remove the escape ladder 21 from the tool storage box 20 in an emergency. However, if the lock part 45 is unlocked with a key, the tool storage box 20 can be easily retrofitted to an existing railway vehicle.

The ceiling wall 42 is a flat plate that constitutes the ceiling surface of the instrument storage box 20. A sliding mechanism 47 is attached to a hanging portion 42a that extends downward from the outer end of the ceiling wall 42 on the vehicle side. Due to the arrangement space of the sliding mechanisms 46 and 47, there is a distance between the box body 22 and the inner wall 41 and the ceiling wall 42, but the gap between the box body 22 and the cover 40 can be reduced by the reinforcing portion 43, the hanging portion 42a, and the protective portion 42b.

According to the tool storage box 20 described above, the opening 30 that is opened and closed by the cover 40 is formed not only on the inside of the vehicle but also on the upper side of the box body 22. Therefore, the escape ladder 21 can be removed not only by sliding it toward the inside of the vehicle relative to the box body 22, but also by tilting the escape ladder 21. In particular, even if the tool storage box 20 is located in a high place such as on the luggage shelf 17, the escape ladder 21 can be easily removed by tilting the front side of the escape ladder 21 protruding from the opening 30 downward. This allows the escape ladder 21 to be set up smoothly.

In addition, the handrail rod 15, which is fixed to the ceiling 13a via the handrail rod receiver 14, is located on the inside of the luggage rack 17 and the equipment storage box 20. The distance in the sleeper direction from the box body 22 fixed to the luggage rack 17 to the handrail rod 15 is sufficiently smaller than the dimension of the box body 22 in the sleeper direction, and is smaller than the dimension of the escape ladder 21 stored in the box body 22 in the sleeper direction. Therefore, if the escape ladder 21 is simply slid toward the inside of the vehicle relative to the box body 22, there is a risk that the escape ladder 21 to be removed will interfere with the handrail rod 15. However, as described above, the opening 30 is also formed on the upper side of the box body 22, so the escape ladder 21 can be removed while tilting it so that it does not interfere with the handrail rod 15. Therefore, the escape ladder 21 can be easily removed even in a railway car 10 in which the handrail rod 15 is located in front of the luggage rack 17.

The bottom wall 23 of the box body 22 fixed on the luggage shelf 17 slopes downward toward the inside of the vehicle, so that when the front side (inside of the vehicle) of the escape ladder 21 is lifted slightly to remove it, the escape ladder 21 can be easily slid forward along the bottom wall 23. This makes it easy to remove the escape ladder 21 from the tool storage box 20 on the luggage shelf 17, which is located in a high place.

In addition, a lower projection 27 rises from the edge of the bottom wall 23 on the inside of the vehicle, and a protective piece 28 projects from the upper edge of the lower projection 27 toward the inside of the vehicle. This allows the lower projection 27 and protective piece 28 to function as a fulcrum when tilting and removing the evacuation ladder 21, making it easier to remove the evacuation ladder 21.

The cover 40 opens and closes the opening 30 by sliding in the rail direction relative to the box body 22 using the slide mechanisms 46, 47, so the cover 40 can be easily opened and closed even if the instrument storage box 20 is located in a high place such as on the luggage shelf 17. Furthermore, since the luggage shelf 17 is usually sufficiently long in the rail direction, when the instrument storage box 20 is placed on the luggage shelf 17, it is easy to secure space for sliding the cover 40 in the rail direction. As a result, the cover 40 can be opened and closed with improved ease.

Furthermore, because the cover 40 is a double-hinged door divided in the rail direction, even if the open cover 40 is in a cantilevered state with respect to the box body 22, the moment acting on each divided cover 40 can be reduced. Also, because the cover 40 can be opened and closed in either the left or right direction, the freedom of installation position on the luggage shelf 17 can be ensured.

A slide mechanism 46 is provided near the lower edge of the opening 30, and a slide mechanism 47 is provided near the edge of the opening 30 on the outer side of the vehicle, so that the cover 40 that opens and closes the opening 30 formed on the inner side of the vehicle and on the upper side of the box body 22 can be slid smoothly.

Furthermore, the pair of end walls 25 increase the rigidity of the box body 22, so that the load applied to the slide mechanisms 46, 47 due to deformation of the box body 22 can be suppressed, and rattling of the slide mechanisms 46, 47 can be suppressed. In addition, the end walls 25 can prevent the escape ladder 21 inside the box body 22 from sliding together with the cover 40.

The cover 40 is not directly fixed to the railway vehicle 10 and is not easily deformed by vehicle vibrations, etc., so it requires less rigidity than the box body 22. Therefore, even without end walls 25 that form the rail-direction surface of the instrument storage box 20, the rib-shaped reinforcing parts 43 can ensure sufficient rigidity of the cover 40, and the load applied to the slide mechanisms 46, 47 due to deformation of the cover 40 can be sufficiently suppressed. Furthermore, the hanging parts 42a and protective parts 42b are connected approximately perpendicularly to both sides of the reinforcing parts 43 in the rail direction, so the rigidity of the cover 40 can be further improved.

Next, the second embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 4 and 5. In the first embodiment, the case where the cover 40 slides in the rail direction relative to the box body 22 is described. In contrast, in the second embodiment, the case where the cover 55 is attached to and detached from the box body 51 is described. Note that the same parts as in the first embodiment are given the same reference numerals and the following description will be omitted.

Figure 4 is a cross-sectional view of the instrument storage box 50 in the second embodiment. Figure 5(a) is a bottom perspective view of the cover 55. Figure 5(b) is an top perspective view of the box body 51. Note that the reinforcing columns 60 and reinforcing beams 61 of the cover 55 are omitted in Figure 4. The leaf spring 57 is omitted in Figure 5(a).

The tool storage box 50 comprises a box body 51 that is fixed onto the luggage shelf 17 and stores the evacuation ladder 21, and a cover 55 that opens and closes the opening 53 of the box body 51 to insert and remove the evacuation ladder 21. The box body 51 comprises a bottom wall 23, an outer wall 24, an upper protrusion 26, a lower protrusion 27, and reinforcing parts 52 that protrude slightly from both end edges of the bottom wall 23 and the outer wall 24 in the rail direction as reinforcing ribs.

In this way, the box body 51 as a whole has a cross section perpendicular to the rail direction that is formed in a roughly L-shape. The box body 51 has openings 53 on the inside of the vehicle, on the top side, and on both sides in the rail direction, through which the evacuation ladder 21 can be inserted and removed.

The bottom wall 23 of the box body 51 is fixed to the innermost connecting rod 19b and the outermost connecting rod 19b with U-bolts 31. As a result, the bottom wall 23 fixed to the luggage rack 17 is inclined upward toward the inside of the vehicle. This prevents the escape ladder 21 from sliding toward the inside of the vehicle even if the belt 33 is removed.

The cover 55 mainly comprises an inner wall 41, a ceiling wall 42, and a pair of end walls 56 that are respectively connected to both ends of the inner wall 41 and the ceiling wall 42 in the rail direction. The pair of end walls 56 are flat plates that respectively constitute the surfaces on both sides of the instrument storage box 50 in the rail direction, and are formed perpendicular to the inner wall 41 and the ceiling wall 42.

The upper protrusion 26 of the box body 51 is sandwiched between the ceiling wall 42 and a leaf spring 57 attached near the outer edge of the vehicle of the ceiling wall 42, and a screw 58 inserted into a through hole (not shown) near the lower edge of the inner wall 41 is fitted into a screw hole 59 provided in the lower protrusion 27, thereby fixing the cover 55 to the box body 51 and closing the opening 53. Conversely, by removing the screw 58 and pulling the upper protrusion 26 out from between the leaf spring 57 and the ceiling wall 42, the cover 55 is removed from the box body 51 and the opening 53 is opened. By making the cover 55 detachable, it is easier to make the instrument storage box 50 cheaper and lighter than the first embodiment in which the cover 40 is a sliding type.

The opening 53 of the box body 51 with the cover 55 removed is formed not only on the inside and upper side of the vehicle, but also on both sides in the rail direction, so the evacuation ladder 21 can be removed by moving it from the box body 51 in the rail direction or tilting it in the rail direction. This makes it easier to remove the evacuation ladder 21 even if it is difficult to remove the evacuation ladder 21 from the box body 51 to the inside of the vehicle due to its positional relationship with the handrail rod 15 and the handrail rod receiver 14.

The cover 55 further includes multiple reinforcing columns 60 perpendicular to the ceiling wall 42, and reinforcing beams 61 arranged along the inside of the ceiling wall 42 (the box body 51 side). The reinforcing columns 60 are columns for supporting the ceiling wall 42 in a state parallel to the floor when the cover 55 removed from the box body 51 is placed on the floor. The reinforcing columns 60 are provided at the four corners of the ceiling wall 42 and fixed along the end walls 56. The reinforcing beams 61 are beams for reinforcing the ceiling wall 42, and are fixed on the diagonals of the rectangular ceiling wall 42.

The reinforcing columns 60 and reinforcing beams 61 ensure the rigidity of the cover 55 in the vertical direction, so that the cover 55 removed from the box body 51 can be placed on the floor and used as a stepping stool when removing the evacuation ladder 21 from the box body 51. The reinforcing columns 60 and reinforcing beams 61 are preferably made of a lightweight, high-strength material (such as carbon fiber reinforced plastic). In this case, the cover 55 can be easily removed from a high location such as on the luggage shelf 17, and the strength of the cover 55 can be sufficiently ensured when used as a stepping stool. Even if the reinforcing columns 60 and reinforcing beams 61 are not present, the cover 55 can be used as a stepping stool by thickening the inner wall 41, the ceiling wall 42, and the end wall 56 or forming them from a high-strength material.

Although the present invention has been described above based on the embodiments, the present invention is not limited to the above embodiments, and it can be easily imagined that various improvements and modifications are possible within the scope of the present invention. The evacuation equipment stored in the equipment storage box 20, 50 is not limited to the evacuation ladder 21, but may also be an evacuation ramp. In addition, the size and shape of the box body 22, 51 and the cover 40, 55 may be appropriately changed to match the size and shape of the evacuation equipment.

In the above first embodiment, the case where the instrument storage box 20 is arranged between the second and third support plates 18 from the door 11a side has been described, but this is not necessarily limited to this. The instrument storage box 20 may be arranged between the first support plate 18 and the second support plate 18 from the door 11a side, or the instrument storage box 20 may be arranged between the third or subsequent support plates 18 from the door 11a side.

In the above embodiment, the bottom wall 23 of the box body 22, 51 is fixed to the connecting rods 19b, 19c of the luggage shelf 17 with U-bolts 31, but this is not necessarily limited to this. The method of fixing the box body 22, 51 to the connecting rods 19b, 19c may be changed as appropriate, such as by using a metal band instead of the U-bolt 31. In addition, the method of fixing the box body 22, 51 may be changed as appropriate depending on the shape of the luggage shelf 17. It is not limited to fixing the bottom wall 23 directly to the luggage shelf 17, but the box body 22, 51 may be fixed to the side structure 11 so that the box body 22, 51 is fixed onto the luggage shelf 17.

In the first embodiment, the cover 40 is a sliding type, and in the second embodiment, the cover 55 is a removable type, but this is not necessarily limited to this, and the method of opening and closing the cover may be changed as appropriate. For example, the cover may be a shutter that can be stored in a roll-up section provided on the outer wall 24 or upper protrusion 26 of the box body 22, 51.

In the above embodiment, the escape ladder 21 is fixed to the box body 22, 51 by the belt 33, but this is not necessarily limited to this, and the method of fixing the escape ladder 21 inside the box body 22, 51 may be changed as appropriate. For example, the escape ladder 21 may be held in place by deforming a harder sponge provided inside the box body 22, 51. Also, a detachable portion to which a part of the escape ladder 21 can be attached and detached may be provided inside the box body 22, 51.

In the above first embodiment, the case where the end wall 25 is provided on the box body 22 is described, and in the above second embodiment, the case where the end wall 56 is provided on the cover 55 is described, but this is not necessarily limited to this. The end wall 56 may be provided on the cover 40 of the above first embodiment, and the end wall 25 may be provided on the box body 51 of the above second embodiment.
