Description

The present invention relates to an information providing device and information providing method for providing information to a customer who has purchased a product.

Conventionally, a method is known for providing recommendation information indicating products recommended to a purchaser based on the purchaser's past purchase history (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

The taste of fresh foods such as vegetables, fruits, and seafood varies depending on the producer. When using conventional methods to recommend fresh foods that the consumer has purchased in the past, there was a problem that, depending on the producer of the fresh food, fresh foods that do not match the consumer's preferences may be recommended.

Therefore, the present invention has been made in consideration of these points, and aims to provide consumers with information about fresh foods that match their preferences.

The information providing device according to the first aspect of the present invention has an evaluation result acquisition unit that acquires, from a purchaser who has purchased fresh food, an evaluation result of the fresh food purchased by the purchaser, a memory unit that stores, in association with each other, purchaser identification information for identifying the purchaser, the evaluation result by the purchaser, the name of the fresh food corresponding to the evaluation result, and producer identification information for identifying the producer of the fresh food, and an information providing unit that provides the purchaser with recommendation information including the name of the fresh food when the fresh food stored in the memory unit in association with a predetermined evaluation result has been acquired or can be acquired from the producer associated with the evaluation result.

The storage unit may store purchase time information indicating the time when the purchaser purchased the fresh food in association with the evaluation result, and the information providing unit may provide the recommendation information to the purchaser on the condition that the recommendation information is the same period as the period indicated by the purchase time information associated with the evaluation result of the specified content.

The storage unit may store the names of the fresh foods in association with the seasons when the fresh foods are in season, and the information providing unit may provide the recommendation information to the purchaser on the condition that the season is the season for the fresh foods associated with the evaluation results of the specified content.

The system further includes an information acquisition unit that acquires product identification information indicating the name of the fresh food sold in the store and the name of the producer of the fresh food in association with the purchaser identification information, and the information provision unit may provide the purchaser with the evaluation result of the fresh food corresponding to the product name and producer name indicated in the product identification information acquired by the information acquisition unit in association with the purchaser identification information acquired by the information acquisition unit when the evaluation result is stored in the storage unit.

The storage unit may store purchase date information indicating the date on which the purchaser previously purchased the fresh food in association with the evaluation result, and the information providing unit may provide the past purchase date indicated by the purchase date information together with the evaluation result.

The information provision method according to the second aspect of the present invention includes the steps of: acquiring, from a purchaser who purchased fresh food, an evaluation result of the fresh food purchased by the purchaser; storing in a memory unit purchaser identification information for identifying the purchaser, the evaluation result by the purchaser, the name of the fresh food corresponding to the evaluation result, and producer identification information for identifying the producer of the fresh food in association with each other; and providing, to the purchaser, recommendation information including the name of the fresh food stored in the memory unit in association with a predetermined evaluation result when the fresh food is acquired or can be acquired from the producer associated with the evaluation result.

The present invention has the effect of making it possible to provide a purchaser with information about fresh foods that match the purchaser's preferences.

First Embodiment
[Outline of information provision service]
1 is a diagram showing an overview of an information provision service that implements an information provision method according to the present embodiment. The information provision service is a service that accepts evaluations of fresh food purchased from fresh food purchasers, provides feedback of the evaluation results to producers, and provides advertisements based on the evaluations to purchasers.

As shown in Figure 1, fresh food delivered from producers to retailers is sold to customers ((1) in Figure 1). The retailer registers the purchase history recorded in, for example, a POS system in a database ((2) in Figure 1).

The purchaser enters the product evaluation results into a database via an evaluation website provided by the retailer ((3) in Figure 1). The entered evaluation results are notified to the retailer ((4) in Figure 1), and the retailer notifies the producer of the evaluation results ((5) in Figure 1). After that, when fresh food produced by a producer that the purchaser has given a good evaluation is delivered to the retailer ((6) in Figure 1), the retailer provides the purchaser with an advertisement (hereafter referred to as "recommendation information") ((7) in Figure 1). With this service, the purchaser can obtain information about fresh food that matches the purchaser's preferences and purchase fresh food that matches their preferences again.

When entering evaluation results, the purchaser can refer to the purchase history by entering the identification information of his/her membership card or point card on the evaluation website. If the retailer does not register the purchase history in the database, the purchaser may enter the evaluation results of the purchased product by searching by product name or by reading the identification information attached to the product.

[Outline of Information Providing System S]
Fig. 2 is a diagram for explaining an overview of the information provision system S according to the first embodiment. The information provision system S includes one or more store terminals 1, a plurality of consumer terminals 2, and an information provision device 10. A plurality of store terminals 1 are shown in Fig. 1. The plurality of store terminals 1, the plurality of consumer terminals 2, and the information provision device 10 are connected via a network N. The network N includes, for example, the Internet.

The store terminal 1 is an information terminal used by a seller who provides fresh foods such as vegetables, fruits, and seafood, and is, for example, a computer or smartphone. The seller can use application software executable by the store terminal 1 to send fresh food acquisition information to the information providing device 10 ((1) in FIG. 2). The fresh food acquisition information includes, for example, the name of the fresh food acquired by the seller, the producer of the fresh food, and the acquisition date or planned acquisition date of the fresh food.

The purchaser terminal 2 is an information terminal used by a purchaser who purchases fresh food, and is, for example, a computer or a smartphone. The purchaser can use application software executable by the purchaser terminal 2 to evaluate the fresh food they have purchased and transmit the evaluation results and the purchase date of the fresh food to the information providing device 10 ((2) in FIG. 2).

The evaluation result includes information indicating whether or not the customer would like to purchase the evaluated fresh food again, and indicates, for example, one of the following: "Would like to purchase," "Can't decide," or "Do not want to purchase." In the following explanation, an evaluation result indicating "Would like to purchase" may be referred to as a "high rating."

The consumer terminal 2 extracts product identification information for identifying the fresh food by reading identification information, such as a QR code (registered trademark) associated with the purchased fresh food using a reading device provided in the consumer terminal 2. The product identification information includes, for example, the name of the fresh food and the name of the producer. The consumer terminal 2 displays a screen for evaluating the fresh food from which the product identification information was extracted on a display provided in the consumer terminal 2. The consumer terminal 2 associates the evaluation result entered by the consumer on the evaluation screen, consumer identification information for identifying the consumer, and the product identification information, and transmits them to the information providing device 10.

The information providing device 10 is a device that provides recommendation information for fresh food to multiple consumers, and is, for example, a server of a fresh food seller or a server of a business that provides a service that distributes advertisements for fresh food. The recommendation information is information that includes the names of fresh food items that are recommended for purchase by the consumer, and is notified, for example, by email.

The information providing device 10 associates and stores the fresh food acquisition information transmitted by the store terminal 1 with each of the multiple evaluation results transmitted by each of the multiple purchaser terminals 2. For example, the information providing device 10 associates and stores in a storage medium (e.g., a hard disk) the identification information of the purchaser, the evaluation result of the purchaser, the name of the fresh food corresponding to the evaluation result, and producer identification information that identifies the producer of the fresh food.

When fresh food has arrived or is expected to arrive from a producer associated with the searched fresh food item name, the information providing device 10 generates recommendation information for consumers who have highly rated the fresh food ((3) in FIG. 2). The information providing device 10 provides the recommendation information to the consumer terminal 2 of the consumer who has highly rated the arrived fresh food or the fresh food expected to arrive ((4) in FIG. 2).

As described above, the information provision system S associates and stores the name, producer, and evaluation result of fresh food purchased by a consumer. Then, when fresh food is in stock or is expected to be in stock from a producer associated with a fresh food highly rated by a consumer, the information provision system S provides recommendation information to the consumer. As a result, the information provision system S can provide information about fresh food that matches the consumer's preferences.

The seller may communicate the acquired evaluation results to the producer by having the store terminal 1 acquire the evaluation results of multiple buyers from the information providing device 10. The producer may acquire the evaluation results without going through the seller, for example, by connecting an information terminal owned by the producer to the information providing device 10 via the network N.

3 is a diagram for explaining the configuration of the information providing device 10. The information providing device 10 has a communication unit 11, a storage unit 12, and a control unit 13. The control unit 13 has an information acquisition unit 131, an evaluation result acquisition unit 132, and an information providing unit 133.

The communication unit 11 is a communication interface for transmitting and receiving data between the store terminal 1 and the customer terminal 2 via the network N, and has, for example, a communication controller. The communication unit 11 inputs data received from the store terminal 1 and the customer terminal 2 to the control unit 13, and transmits data input from the control unit 13 to the customer terminal 2.

The memory unit 12 has storage media such as a ROM (Read Only Memory), a RAM (Random Access Memory), and a hard disk. The memory unit 12 stores programs executed by the control unit 13. The memory unit 12 has multiple databases, and stores various types of information used by the information providing unit 133 to generate recommendation information in the databases. The memory unit 12 stores, for example, a purchase history database that includes the purchase history of each purchaser.

In the purchase history database, for example, information for identifying a purchaser, information for identifying fresh food items previously purchased by the purchaser, and the purchaser's evaluation results are associated with each other. Information for identifying a purchaser includes, for example, a purchaser ID, the purchaser's name, and the purchaser's contact information. Information for identifying fresh food items includes, for example, the product name, producer, and time of purchase. The information providing device 10 obtains data to be registered in the purchase history database from the store terminal 1 or the purchaser terminal 2.

Figure 4 is a diagram showing an example of a purchase history database. The memory unit 12 stores information as shown in Figure 4 in association with each purchaser. In Figure 4, the following are associated with each other: major category, medium category, and minor category, which are the types of fresh food; the name of the fresh food; a producer ID for identifying the producer of the fresh food; purchase time information indicating the purchase time of the purchaser; and the evaluation result of the purchaser.

The evaluation results of a purchaser indicate whether or not the purchaser would like to purchase the fresh food product again, with "a" indicating "want to purchase," "b" indicating "can't say either way," and "c" indicating "do not want to purchase." In FIG. 4, for example, the type (subcategory) of fresh food is "spring cabbage," and the producer IDs for the fresh food product name "spring cabbage" are shown as "CCC" and "DDD." The "spring cabbage" produced by the producer indicated by "CCC" is rated "a," indicating a high rating. On the other hand, the "spring cabbage" produced by the producer indicated by "DDD" is rated "c," indicating a low rating.

In this way, the memory unit 12 associates and stores a purchaser ID, which is purchaser identification information for identifying a purchaser, the evaluation result by the purchaser, the name of the fresh food corresponding to the evaluation result, and a producer ID, which is producer identification information for identifying the producer of the fresh food. By storing such a purchase history database in the memory unit 12, the information providing device 10 can provide the purchaser with information about fresh food that has been well rated by the purchaser.

In the example shown in FIG. 4, the memory unit 12 stores purchase time information indicating the time when the consumer purchased the fresh food in association with the evaluation result. The memory unit 12 acquires the evaluation result and the purchase time information of the fresh food corresponding to the evaluation result from the consumer terminal 2, and stores the acquired evaluation result in association with the purchase time information. By storing in this manner in the memory unit 12, the information providing device 10 can identify the time when the consumer purchased the fresh food that was well rated, and provide the consumer with information about the well rated fresh food during the same period.

The memory unit 12 may store the names of fresh foods in association with the seasons when the fresh foods are in season. For example, the memory unit 12 may store a fresh food database in which the names of fresh foods are associated with the seasons when the fresh foods are in season, the fresh food database being created based on the data on the seasons when the fresh foods are in season obtained from the store terminal 1 and the names of the fresh foods.

The control unit 13 is, for example, a CPU (Central Processing Unit). The control unit 13 executes a program stored in the storage unit 12, thereby functioning as an information acquisition unit 131, an evaluation result acquisition unit 132, and an information provision unit 133. The information acquisition unit 131 acquires various types of information output by the store terminal 1.

The information acquisition unit 131 acquires, for example, information indicating the name and purchase date of the fresh food purchased by the consumer. The information acquisition unit 131 also acquires the name of the fresh food, the name of the producer of the fresh food, and the acquisition date or planned acquisition date of the fresh food in association with each other. The information acquisition unit 131 acquires, for example, the acquisition date or planned acquisition date of the fresh food entered into the store terminal 1 by a staff member of the store at the time the fresh food arrives at the store or when the producer informs the store of the planned arrival date of the fresh food.

The information acquisition unit 131 may acquire product identification information indicating the name of the fresh food being sold in the store and the name of the producer of the fresh food, in association with a purchaser ID, which is purchaser identification information. The information acquisition unit 131 may acquire information regarding the producer and information regarding the purchaser from the store terminal 1.

The evaluation result acquisition unit 132 acquires, from the purchaser who purchased the fresh food, the evaluation result of the fresh food purchased by the purchaser. For example, the evaluation result acquisition unit 132 acquires from the purchaser terminal 2 the purchaser ID, the name of the fresh food purchased by the purchaser indicated by the purchaser ID, and the evaluation result of the fresh food in association with each other.

The information providing unit 133 provides the consumer with recommendation information for fresh foods. The information providing unit 133 transmits the recommendation information to the consumer terminal 2, for example, via the communication unit 11. Fresh foods may have different tastes depending on the producer, even if they are of the same type or name. Therefore, even if a consumer purchases fresh foods of the same type or name as fresh foods that the consumer has previously highly rated, the consumer will not necessarily highly rate the fresh foods again. Therefore, when the information providing unit 133 obtains or can obtain fresh foods stored in the memory unit 12 in association with a specified evaluation result from a producer associated with the evaluation result, it provides the consumer with recommendation information including the name of the fresh foods. The specified evaluation result is a result of the consumer's evaluation that the consumer would like to purchase the fresh foods again, for example, the evaluation result "a" shown in FIG. 3.

For example, based on the name of the fresh food product, the name of the producer, and the acquisition date acquired by the information acquisition unit 131, the information provision unit 133 identifies that the "Spring Cabbage" shown in FIG. 4 has arrived at the store from producer "CCC". By searching the purchase history database stored in the memory unit 12, the information provision unit 133 identifies purchasers who have rated the "Spring Cabbage" produced by producer "CCC" as "a". The information provision unit 133 notifies the purchaser terminal 2 used by the identified purchaser of recommendation information including the "Spring Cabbage" produced by producer "CCC".

In this way, the information providing unit 133 identifies the name and producer of the fresh food that has arrived, and searches for consumers who have previously rated fresh food of the same name and producer highly. The information providing unit 133 then notifies the consumers identified through the search of recommendation information for the fresh food that has arrived. By operating in this way, the information providing unit 133 can provide information about fresh food that matches the preferences of the consumer.

The information providing unit 133 may provide the recommendation information to the consumer on the condition that the recommendation information is the same period as the period indicated by the purchase time information associated with the evaluation result of a specified content. For example, the information providing unit 133 specifies that the purchase time of "T Strawberry", a fresh food associated with the evaluation result "a" shown in FIG. 4, is "March 2, 2020". Next, the information providing unit 133 notifies the consumer terminal 2 of the recommendation information including "T Strawberry" when, for example, the current time is within a specified range (for example, "February 2021" or "March 2021") from the purchase date of the fresh food with a high evaluation result. The specified range is a range assumed to be of equivalent quality, and is set for each fresh food, for example.

Even if the fresh food is of the same type or name, the taste may differ depending on the time of offering. Therefore, even if a consumer purchases again a fresh food of the same type or name as a fresh food that the consumer has previously rated highly, the consumer will not necessarily rate the fresh food highly again. Therefore, the information providing unit 133 notifies the consumer terminal 2 of recommendation information for the fresh food at the same time as the purchase time associated with the fresh food that the consumer rated highly. By operating in this manner, the information providing unit 133 can provide the consumer with recommendation information for fresh foods that have a taste similar to the taste at the time the consumer rated the fresh food highly.

The information providing unit 133 may provide the consumer with recommendation information on the condition that the fresh food associated with the evaluation result of a specified content is in season. The information providing unit 133 identifies the season of the fresh food that the consumer highly rated, based on information that associates the type or name of the fresh food stored in the memory unit 12 with the season of the fresh food, for example. The information providing unit 133 notifies the consumer terminal 2 of the recommendation information of the fresh food only if the season of the identified fresh food includes the current time.

The information providing unit 133 determines that the season for "horse mackerel," a fresh food associated with evaluation result "a" shown in FIG. 4, is from June to August, for example. The information providing unit 133 notifies the consumer terminal 2 of recommendation information including "horse mackerel" only if the current time is between June and August. By operating in this manner, the information providing unit 133 can provide recommendation information including fresh foods that are highly rated by the consumer during the season of the fresh foods. As a result, the information providing unit 133 can recommend fresh foods that are likely to satisfy the consumer. Furthermore, the information providing unit 133 can reduce the possibility that the consumer will miss the season for fresh foods that match the consumer's preferences.

5 is a flowchart showing an example of an operation of the information providing device 10 according to the first embodiment to provide recommendation information to a consumer. The evaluation result acquisition unit 132 acquires the evaluation result of the consumer output by the consumer terminal 2 (S11). The information acquisition unit 131 acquires product identification information indicating the name and producer of the fresh food output by the store terminal 1. If an operation to end the process of providing recommended information has been performed (YES in S16), the information providing device 10 ends the process.

[Advantages of the information providing device 10 according to the first embodiment]
As described above, the information providing device 10 has an evaluation result acquisition unit 132 that acquires the evaluation results of fresh food purchased by a purchaser, and a memory unit 12 that stores a purchaser ID, the evaluation result by the purchaser indicated by the purchaser ID, the name of the fresh food corresponding to the evaluation result, and a producer ID indicating the producer of the fresh food.

Then, when the information providing unit 133 has acquired or can acquire a fresh food item indicated by the name of the fresh food item associated with the evaluation result of a specified content from the producer indicated by the producer ID associated with the evaluation result, it provides the purchaser with recommendation information including the name of the fresh food item.

By operating in this manner, the information providing device 10 can provide the consumer with recommendation information that includes fresh foods produced by the same producer as the fresh foods that the consumer has evaluated as matching the consumer's preferences. As a result, the information providing device 10 can provide the consumer with information about fresh foods that match the consumer's preferences, even if the taste or freshness of fresh foods of the same name vary depending on the producer.

In addition, the information provision system S allows retailers to obtain the evaluation results from purchasers, which makes it possible to increase transactions with producers of highly rated fresh foods and to increase sales by advertising the highly rated fresh foods. Furthermore, the information provision system S also allows producers to know the evaluation results from purchasers, making it easier for them to adjust the types and quantities of fresh foods they produce.

Second Embodiment
Fig. 6 is a diagram for explaining an overview of an information provision service according to a second embodiment. Fig. 6 is a diagram showing a part of a fresh food section of a retail store, and is a schematic diagram showing the fresh food section as viewed from above. In the fresh food section shown in Fig. 6, multiple sections A (A1 to A3) are set up. In section A1, "Spring cabbage" produced by producer CCC is displayed, in section A2, "F tomatoes" produced by producer EEE is displayed, and in section A3, "T strawberries" produced by producer ZZZ is displayed.

In each of the multiple sales areas A, an object B is placed. The object B is, for example, a tablet displaying a QR code, or a piece of paper with a QR code printed on it. The multiple objects B (B1 to B3) each display a different QR code. A customer can extract product identification information of fresh food displayed in the sales area A where the object B is placed by reading the QR code displayed by the object B using a reading device (for example, a camera) provided in the customer terminal 2. The product identification information is, for example, information indicating the name of the fresh food and the name of the producer.

For example, a purchaser can extract product identification information including the product name "Spring Cabbage" and producer "CCC" by reading the QR code indicated by object B1. The information provision service according to the second embodiment is a service that enables a purchaser to check past evaluation results for fresh food produced by the same producer, based on the product identification information that the purchaser reads in the store using the purchaser terminal 2. This information provision service uses the evaluation results that the purchaser inputs on the purchaser terminal 2 using the procedure described in the first embodiment and that are stored in the information provision device 10.

Figure 7 is a diagram for explaining an overview of an information provision system S according to the second embodiment. The information provision system S includes a consumer terminal 2 and an information provision device 10. The consumer terminal 2 and the information provision device 10 are connected via a network N. The network N includes, for example, the Internet.

The consumer terminal 2 reads the QR codes displayed at each of the multiple sales areas in the store to obtain product identification information for the fresh foods displayed at the sales areas. The consumer terminal 2 associates the obtained product identification information with the consumer identification information held by the consumer terminal 2 and transmits it to the information providing device 10 ((1) and (2) in FIG. 7). The information providing device 10 determines whether past evaluation results for the fresh foods corresponding to the obtained product identification information are stored in association with the obtained consumer identification information. If the information providing device 10 can identify past evaluation results associated with the obtained product identification information ((3) in FIG. 7), it provides the identified past evaluation results to the consumer terminal 2 ((4) in FIG. 7).

As described above, the information provision system S uses the information provision device 10 to provide the consumer with past evaluation results associated with the fresh food indicated by the product identification information, based on the product identification information extracted by the consumer by reading a QR code displayed in the fresh food sales area. The consumer can determine whether or not to purchase the fresh food being sold by checking the evaluation results provided to him or her. As a result, the consumer becomes more likely to purchase fresh food produced by the same producer as fresh food that the consumer has previously rated highly, and more likely to avoid purchasing fresh food produced by the same producer as fresh food that the consumer has previously rated poorly.

[Configuration of information providing device 10]
The configuration of the information providing device 10 according to the second embodiment is the same as the configuration of the information providing device 10 shown in Fig. 3. The information acquiring unit 131 acquires, for example, product identification information indicating the name of a fresh food product sold at a store and the name of the producer of the fresh food product, in association with the purchaser identification information. The information acquiring unit 131 acquires, in association with the purchaser identification information of a purchaser who visited the store, transmitted by the purchaser terminal 2, and the product identification information extracted by reading a QR code displayed on the sales floor.

For example, when evaluation results of fresh food corresponding to the product name and producer name indicated by the product identification information acquired by the information acquisition unit 131 are stored in the memory unit 12 in association with the purchaser identification information acquired by the information acquisition unit 131, the information provision unit 133 provides the evaluation results to the purchaser. The information provision unit 133 acquires the evaluation results associated with the purchaser identification information from the memory unit 12, and identifies, from the acquired evaluation results, the evaluation results of the fresh food corresponding to the product name and producer name indicated by the product identification information. The information provision unit 133 transmits the identified evaluation results to the purchaser terminal 2.

By operating in this manner, the information providing unit 133 can provide the purchaser who purchases the fresh food at the store with the purchaser's past evaluation results for the fresh food sold at the store. As a result, even if the purchaser has forgotten the past evaluation results, the purchaser can purchase fresh food that suits his or her preferences based on the past evaluation results.

In addition, if the memory unit 12 stores purchase date information indicating the date on which the purchaser previously purchased fresh food in association with the evaluation result, the information providing unit 133 may provide the past purchase date indicated by the purchase date information together with the evaluation result. By operating in this manner, the purchaser can decide whether to purchase fresh food based on the past purchase date.

For example, if the past purchase date was "June 10th" and the current purchase date is "December 10th", the past purchase date and the current purchase date are different times, so the purchaser can stop making a purchase decision based on the past evaluation results.
