切削刃31は切削板3の端部を鋭角にすることで形成してもよいし、切削板3とは別体として切削板3に固定する形態としてもよい。切削板3と別体とすれば、切削刃31が劣化したときに交換が可能となる。
切削板3は、切削刃31が下になるように下方に傾斜した状態で切り欠き21を平面視で塞ぐように弧を本体1内周に固定する。このとき、切削板3は切削刃31が水平となるようにする。

そして、水平な切削刃31が木杭の上端に接した状態で木杭頭切削装置を回転・押し下げることで、木杭5の杭頭を水平に切削することができる(図3)。回転圧入機や地盤改良機等により容易に杭頭の高さ調整が可能であり、工期が短く、工費がかさむこともない。

前記切削板は下方に傾斜しており、下端に水平な切削刃を有することを特徴とする、
