Description
・炎が燃え広がることによる被害を最小限に留められる。すなわち初期消火が可能である。
・人が火災発生を確認後、消火器を消火対象付近に持ち運び消火活動を行う必要が無い。
・自動消火装置等の設備に比して簡易的に設置できるため、設置場所の制限が少なくかつ必要な箇所に応じて適用することができる。
・消火剤の性状安定性に優れるため、消火体の交換頻度を低減することができる。
図1は、一実施形態に係る消火体の模式断面図である。消火体10は、消火剤含有層1及び樹脂基材2をこの順に備える。消火体はシート状であってよい。なお、図1に示すように、消火剤含有層1は樹脂基材2の下面の少なくとも一部に設けられていればよいが、樹脂基材2の下面の全面に設けられていてもよい。すなわち、消火剤含有層1及び樹脂基材2の端面は面一であってよい。
基材の材質は、樹脂基材を選択することができる。例えば、樹脂基材の材質としては、ポリオレフィン(LLDPE、LDPE、PP、COP、CPP等)、ポリエステル(PET等)、フッ素樹脂(PTFE、ETFE、EFEP、PFA、FEP、PCTFE等)、PVC、PVA、アクリル樹脂、エポキシ樹脂、ポリアミド、ポリイミド等が挙げられる。これらのうち、水蒸気透過度が低く消火剤の劣化を抑制し易い観点から、樹脂基材は、LLDPE、PP、COP、CPP、PET、PTFE、ETFE、EFEP、PFA、FEP、PCTFE及びPVCからなる群より選択される少なくとも一種を含んでいてよい。また、透明性のある材質を選択することで、消火体の外観検査や、交換時期の確認がし易くなる。樹脂基材には、後述の消火剤が含まれていてもよい。
消火剤としては特に制限されず、いわゆる消火の4要素(除去作用、冷却作用、窒息作用、負触媒作用)を有するものを、対象物の態様に応じて適宜用いることができる。消火剤としては、一般消火薬剤(カリウム塩を主成分とする粉末系消火剤の他、炭酸水素ナトリウムやリン酸塩等の一般的な粉末系消火剤が挙げられる)に加え、砂(標準砂)等が挙げられる。万能な消火剤としてはABC消火剤が挙げられ、油や電気火災用の消火剤としてはBC消火剤が挙げられる。対象物がリチウムイオン電池である場合は、BC消火剤や、その他リチウムイオン電池用の消火剤が用いられる。
図3に示すように、消火体は消火剤上にさらに他の樹脂基材(封止基材)を備えていてよい。他の樹脂基材を用いることで、対象物Xの材質に依らず、消火剤をより安定的に保持することができる。
図4に示すように、消火体はさらに接着層を備えていてよい。図4では、樹脂基材2と消火剤含有層1との間、及び他の樹脂基材3と消火剤含有層1との間に接着層4が図示されているが、接着層4は、樹脂基材2と消火剤含有層1との間、及び他の樹脂基材3と消火剤含有層1との間の少なくとも一方に設けられていてよい。また、同図において、他の樹脂基材3及びそれを接着するための接着層4を設けなくてもよい。さらに図4では、消火剤含有層1の端面と接着層4の端面とが面一で描かれているが、両者は必ずしも面一である必要はなく、例えば接着層4は消火剤含有層1の端面より外側にはみ出すように設けられていてよい。
図5に示すように、消火体はさらに封止部を備えていてよい。すなわち、消火体は、樹脂基材及び他の樹脂基材の周縁同士を接合する封止部を備えていてよい。封止部を設けることで樹脂基材と他の樹脂基材とが接合され、消火剤が封止される。これにより消火剤が空気に触れなくなり、消火剤の消火性能の劣化を抑制することができる。また、消火剤の移動が封止部により妨げられるため、消火剤を所望の方向に放出させ易い。
対象物としては、発火する虞のあるものでありかつ上述の消火体を載置できる面(平面又は曲面)を有するものであれば特に制限されない。例えば、対象物としては、電線、配電盤、分電盤、制御盤、蓄電池(リチウムイオン電池等)、建材用壁紙、天井材等の建材、リチウムイオン電池回収用Box(リサイクルBox)、ごみ箱、自動車関連部材、コンセント、コンセントカバーなどの各部材が挙げられる。
上述のとおり、消火体の製造方法は特に制限されない。上記各層を適宜積層し、また必要に応じ基材周縁をヒートシールや接着剤等により接合して封止することにより、消火体を製造することができる。消火剤含有層の設け方については、その態様に応じて調整すればよい。例えば、消火剤及びバインダーを含むスラリーを樹脂基材上に塗布することで、消火剤含有層を形成することができる。また、消火剤を練り込んだ樹脂を基材樹脂と共押出しすることで、消火剤含有層を形成することができる。消火剤含有層と樹脂基材とを別々に準備し、ラミネートにより両者を貼り合わせてもよい。消火剤含有層が設けられる樹脂基材は、消火剤支持層としての樹脂層(樹脂基材を構成する複数の層の内の一層)であってもよい。消火体が他の樹脂基材を備える場合、消火剤含有層を設けた他の樹脂基材を準備し、これを樹脂基材と貼り合わせてもよい。

一般消火剤(モリタ宮田工業株式会社製)
(実施例1)
表1に示す材料を用いて消火体を作製した。消火剤含有層は、消火剤及びバインダーを含むスラリーを調製し、これを基材上に塗布することで形成した。
使用材料を表1に示すように変更したこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして消火体を作製した。

使用材料を表1に示すように変更したこと以外は、実施例3と同様にして消火体を作製した。

基材及び他の基材について、それぞれの水蒸気透過度を測定した。測定はJIS K 7129に準拠し、40℃/90%RH条件下で行った。水蒸気透過度を下記基準にて評価した。
A:水蒸気透過度が2×102g/m2/day以下であった。
B:水蒸気透過度が2×102g/m2/day超であった。
実施例1及び2、並びに比較例1については、得られた消火体の消火剤含有層側を、シーラーを用いてステンレス板(SUS304)に貼り合わせて供試体とした。その他の実施例及び比較例については、得られた消火体をそのまま供試体とした。各例の供試体を40℃/90%RH条件下に7日間放置した。その後、消火剤性状安定性を下記基準にて評価した。
A:消火体の外観に変化がなかった。
B:消火体の外観に変化(消火剤含有層の変色、膨潤等)があった。
Claims (10)
- 他の樹脂基材、消火剤含有層及び樹脂基材をこの順に備える消火体(但し、金属層を備えるものを除く)であって、
前記消火剤含有層と前記樹脂基材との間、及び前記消火剤含有層と前記他の樹脂基材との間の少なくとも一方に接着層を備え、
前記他の樹脂基材が、ポリオレフィン、PVC及びPVAからなる群より選択される少なくとも一種を含み、
前記樹脂基材が、ポリオレフィン、PVC及びPVAからなる群より選択される少なくとも一種を含む、消火体。 - 前記消火剤含有層が、消火剤及びバインダーを含む組成物の層、又は消火剤を含有する樹脂層である、請求項1に記載の消火体。
- 前記樹脂基材が、ポリオレフィンを含む、請求項1又は2に記載の消火体。
- 前記樹脂基材の厚さが、4.5~1000μmである、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の消火体。
- 前記樹脂基材の水蒸気透過度(JIS K 7129準拠 40℃/90%RH条件下)が、2×102g/m2/day以下である、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の消火体。
- 前記樹脂基材の外側に粘着層又は接着層を更に備える、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の消火体。
- 前記他の樹脂基材が、ポリオレフィンを含む、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載の消火体。
- 前記消火剤含有層と前記樹脂基材との間に前記接着層を備えず、前記消火剤含有層と前記他の樹脂基材との間に前記接着層を備える、請求項1~7のいずれか一項に記載の消火体。
- 前記他の樹脂基材の外側に粘着層又は接着層を更に備える、請求項1~8のいずれか一項に記載の消火体。
- 前記他の樹脂基材の少なくとも一方の面上に意匠層を更に備える、請求項1~9のいずれか一項に記載の消火体。
