Description
二色性重合開始剤を含む光硬化樹脂を保持する樹脂槽と、
前記光硬化樹脂を硬化させる光を照射する光照射部と、を備え、
前記二色性重合開始剤を所定の方向に配向させる配向膜が、前記樹脂槽の底部に設けられ、
前記光照射部は、前記光を、前記二色性重合開始剤が前記配向膜により配向する方向と直交する方向に偏光方向を有する直線偏光として、前記樹脂槽の前記底部を透過させて、前記光硬化樹脂に照射する。
配向膜により配向した二色性重合開始剤を含む光硬化樹脂に、前記二色性重合開始剤が前記配向膜により配向する方向と直交する方向に偏光方向を有する直線偏光を照射することによって、前記光硬化樹脂を硬化させる工程と、
硬化した前記光硬化樹脂を前記直線偏光の照射方向に移動させる工程と、を含む。
凹凸を含む、三次元の外形形状を有し、
二色性重合開始剤を含む硬化した光硬化樹脂が層状に積層されている。
<実施形態1>
図1~図5を参照して、本実施形態に係る光造形装置100を説明する。光造形装置100は、二色性重合開始剤を含む光硬化樹脂RLから三次元造形物Obを造形する。
本明細書では、理解を容易にするため、図2における光造形装置100の右方向(紙面の右方向)を+X方向、上方向(紙面の上方向)を+Z方向、+X方向と+Z方向に垂直な方向(紙面の手前方向)を+Y方向として説明する。また、二色性重合開始剤を含む光硬化樹脂RLを、光硬化樹脂RLと記載する場合がある。
なお、以下の実施形態では、二色性重合開始剤の誘電率異方性を正として、説明する。
本実施形態では、二色性重合開始剤を所定の方向(Y方向)に配向させる配向膜14が、底部12の内面12aに設けられている。したがって、樹脂槽10に保持されている光硬化樹脂RLでは、配向膜14の配向規制力が及ぶ配向膜14近傍の領域R1の、二色性重合開始剤の分子Mは、図4に示すように、所定の方向(Y方向)に配向している。一方、配向膜14の規制力が及ばない配向膜14から離れた領域R2の、二色性重合開始剤の分子Mは、ランダムな方向に向いている。
実施形態1の光造形装置100では、光照射部40の光変調部44が変調した光を光硬化樹脂RLに照射するが、光硬化樹脂RLに横電界を印加する電極が樹脂槽10の底部12に設けられ、光変調部44は設けられなくともよい。
印加部70のスイッチング素子は、横電界を光硬化樹脂RLに印加する印加部70を選択するためのトランジスタ(例えばTFT:Thin Film Transistor)である。
本実施形態では、二色性重合開始剤は、配向膜14によりY方向に配向されている。したがって、横電界が光硬化樹脂RLに印加されていない状態では、配向規制力が及ぶ配向膜14近傍の領域R1の二色性重合開始剤の分子Mは、図10に示すように、Y方向に配向している。
本実施形態の三次元造形物Obの造形方法は、硬化した光硬化樹脂RSの底部12への付着を抑制でき、造形のスループットを向上できる。
以上、実施形態を説明したが、本開示は、要旨を逸脱しない範囲で種々の変更が可能である。
Claims (12)
- 二色性重合開始剤を含む光硬化樹脂を保持する樹脂槽と、
前記光硬化樹脂を硬化させる光を照射する光照射部と、を備え、
前記二色性重合開始剤を所定の方向に配向させる配向膜が、前記樹脂槽の底部に設けられ、
前記光照射部は、前記光を、前記二色性重合開始剤が前記配向膜により配向する方向と直交する方向に偏光方向を有する直線偏光として、前記樹脂槽の前記底部を透過させて、前記光硬化樹脂に照射する、
光造形装置。 - 前記光照射部は、前記光を出射する光源部と、前記光源部から出射された前記光を三次元造形物の断面形状に基づくパターンに変調する光変調部と、を備える、
請求項1に記載の光造形装置。 - 前記光照射部は、前記光を出射する光源部と、前記光源部から出射された前記光を前記直線偏光として出射する偏光板と、を備え、
前記樹脂槽の前記底部は、前記樹脂槽の前記底部に平行な横電界を前記光硬化樹脂に印加する電極を有し、
前記横電界を、前記光硬化樹脂の三次元造形物の断面形状に基づく領域に印加することによって、前記二色性重合開始剤を前記配向膜により配向する方向と直交する方向に配向させた状態で、前記光照射部は前記直線偏光を前記光硬化樹脂に照射する、
請求項1に記載の光造形装置。 - 前記配向膜は、水平配向膜である、
請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の光造形装置。 - 前記配向膜は、垂直配向膜である、
請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の光造形装置。 - 前記配向膜は、光異性化型の光配向膜である、
請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載の光造形装置。 - 前記二色性重合開始剤は液晶性を有する、
請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載の光造形装置。 - 前記光硬化樹脂は、液晶性モノマーと液晶性オリゴマーの少なくとも一方を含む、
請求項1から7のいずれか1項に記載の光造形装置。 - 配向膜により配向した二色性重合開始剤を含む光硬化樹脂に、前記二色性重合開始剤が前記配向膜により配向する方向と直交する方向に偏光方向を有する直線偏光を照射することによって、前記光硬化樹脂を硬化させる工程と、
硬化した前記光硬化樹脂を前記直線偏光の照射方向に移動させる工程と、を含む、
三次元造形物の造形方法。 - 前記光硬化樹脂の三次元造形物の断面形状に基づく領域に、横電界を印加することにより、前記領域の内の前記二色性重合開始剤を前記配向膜により配向する方向と直交する方向に配向させる工程を含む、
請求項9に記載の三次元造形物の造形方法。 - 凹凸を含む、三次元の外形形状を有し、
二色性重合開始剤を含む硬化した光硬化樹脂が層状に積層されている、
三次元造形物。 - 前記二色性重合開始剤が所定の方向に配向している、
請求項11に記載の三次元造形物。
