Description
本発明者は、様々な種類の物体を接合する実験を行った。以下に、実験の詳細について説明する。
図2は、実施例において使用した回転ドラム式プラズマ照射装置の構成を概略的に示す。回転ドラム式プラズマ照射装置10は、図示しないモータなどの駆動機構により所定の角速度で回転される回転ドラム24と、放電を発生させるための電極22と、回転ドラム24の側面に設けられた試料ホルダー26と、これらの構成を内部に配置するベルジャー20と、ベルジャー20内に処理用の気体を導入するための気体導入口28と、処理用の気体を供給するためのボンベ30とを備える。プラズマ処理の対象となる試料32を試料ホルダー26に設置し、ベルジャー20内を真空に減圧した後、処理用の気体をベルジャー20内に導入し、電極22に高電圧を供給すると、処理用の気体が放電によりプラズマ状態となり、試料32の表面に照射される。試料32は、回転ドラム24と共に回転される。回転ドラム24を2回転以上回転させる場合は、試料32がプラズマの照射範囲を通過するたびに、試料32の表面にプラズマが照射される。
図3は、接合の強度を評価するために実施したT型剥離試験の原理を模式的に示す。図3(a)は、T型剥離試験において使用した試験片46の上面を示す。試験片46は、同じ大きさに切断した2つの物体を、斜線を付した部分で接合したものである。斜線を付していない部分は、接合されておらず、分離している。図3(b)は、T型剥離試験装置40を概略的に示す。試験片46の接合していない部分の一方をつかみ具42に、他方を可動つかみ具44に取り付ける。つかみ具42を固定しつつ、可動つかみ具44を毎分10mmの速度で移動させ、剥離距離とつかみ具に加えられた力を記録した。
図4は、接合の強度を評価するために実施した引張り剪断試験の原理を模式的に示す。図4(a)は、引張り剪断試験において使用した試験片56の上面を示す。試験片56は、同じ大きさに切断した2つの物体を、長辺方向にずらして重ね、斜線を付した部分で接合したものの両端に、つかみ具によりつかまれる部分を補強するためのタブ55を接着剤により接着させたものである。図4(b)は、引張り剪断試験装置50を概略的に示す。試験片56の2つの物体の一方の端のタブ55をつかみ具52でつかみ、他方の端のタブ55をつかみ具54でつかむ。つかみ具52及びつかみ具54を一定速度(0.05mm/分、1.0mm/分、又は2.0mm/分)で移動させ、破断時の力の最高値を試験片56の破断力として記録した。剪断応力は、破断力を剪断面積で除して算出した。
本実施の形態に係る接合方法による接合の原理を確認するために、PPSのフィルムとAlの平板とを接合する実験を行った。PPSフィルムとAl板を切断して試験片を作成し、表面をエタノールで洗浄した。2つの試験片のそれぞれの接合面に、回転ドラム式プラズマ照射装置によりプラズマを照射した後、真空プレス機により接合面同士を接着させてAl板とPPSフィルムを接合し、接合物の引張り剪断応力を測定した。表1に実験条件を示す。
実施例1と同様に、PPSのフィルムとCuの平板とを接合する実験を行った。実験条件は、表1と同様である。PPSフィルムとCu板とを110℃で接合すると、PPSフィルムとAl板の場合と同様に、強固に接合することができた。
実施例1と同様に、PCのフィルムとPETのフィルムとを接合する実験を行った。実験条件は、表1と同様である。PCフィルムとPETフィルムの組合せは、25℃においても100℃においても強固に接合することができた。
PA6フィルムにプラズマを照射して、表面状態の変化を観察する実験を行った。
PPフィルムにプラズマを照射して、表面状態の変化を観察する実験を行った。
炭素繊維強化プラスチック同士を接合する実験を行った。
樹脂、金属、炭素繊維強化プラスチック、金属酸化物、ガラスなどの物体を様々な組合せで接合した。実験条件を表2に示す。表2において、(融点)は、接合する物体の表面を構成する物質の融点であり、異種の物体を接合する場合には、融点が低い方の物質の融点である。一部の組合せについては、引張り剪断応力を測定し、その他の組合せについては、T型剥離試験又は試験片を手で引っ張ることにより接合の強度を評価した。結果を図35、図36、表3~8に示す。
直接接合することが困難である2つの物体を接合したり、直接接合するために加熱が必要となるような2つの物体を室温で接合したりすることを可能とするために、双方の物体と接合可能な物質のフィルム又はシートを間に挟んでなる接合物を作成した。
Claims (2)
- 2つの物体を接合して接合物を製造する方法であって、
2つの物体のそれぞれの接合面に、5~40Paの圧力の二酸化炭素、アルゴン、窒素、又は酸素に1.5~3.5kVの電圧を印加して生じさせたプラズマを照射するステップと、
プラズマが照射された接合面同士を、110℃で、剪断応力が0.5MPa以上となるように接着するステップと、
を備え、
前記2つの物体は、シリコーン変性樹脂を含有しないポリフェニレンサルファイド、又はシリコーン変性樹脂を含有しないポリフェニレンサルファイドを母材とする炭素繊維強化プラスチックと鉄との組合せの物体である
