Description
以下、本発明の実施形態について、図面を参照しながら詳細に説明する。
図1に、本実施形態に係る通信装置10とその周辺機器の構成図を示す。通信装置10と複数のECU(Electronic Control Unit)20とがバス30を介して互いに接続され、車載ネットワークシステムを構成している。各ECU20は、車両の運転制御等の処理を分担して実行し、処理に必要なデータを互いに送受信する。
以下に本実施形態に係る、通信装置10が行うデータ送信制御処理を図2のフローチャートを参照して説明する。本処理は、例えば、車両の電源がオンにされ、ネットワークシステムが起動した時点で開始され、起動中は実行が継続される。また、本処理と並行して通信装置10は適宜センターからのデータ受信を行うことができる。
本実施形態によれば、センターとの通信が途絶する期間を予測し、通信途絶期間内は通信を抑制する。また、通信途絶期間内は優先度の高いデータのみ収集する。これらにより、通信装置や他の車載機器等の車両のリソース(処理能力)や電力を無駄に消費することを抑制できる。
上述のステップS107、S109、S111を省略して、通信途絶期間内の優先度の高いデータの収集と、通信途絶期間後の送信とを行わないようにしてもよい。この場合、収集部11等のリソースをより節約できる。

Claims (5)
- 車両に設けられ、外部のセンターと通信する通信装置であって、
前記センターに送信するデータを収集する収集部と、
前記センターに前記収集部が収集したデータの送信を行う通信部と、
所定の情報に基づいて前記センターと前記通信部との通信途絶の発生を予測し、前記センターとの通信可否を特定する情報に基づいて前記センターと前記通信部との通信途絶の解消を予測する予測部と、
現在から通信途絶の発生までの予測時間が第1所定時間未満であることを前記予測部が予測した場合、通信途絶が発生する前に前記通信部にデータの送受信に関する処理を実行可能とする通信機能を停止させ、前記通信部に前記通信機能を停止させた後、現在から通信途絶の解消までの予測時間が第2所定時間未満であることを前記予測部が予測した場合、通信途絶が解消する前に前記通信部に前記通信機能を再開させる制御部とを備える、通信装置。 - 前記制御部は、通信途絶が前記第1所定時間内に発生することを前記予測部が予測した場合、前記通信部に前記通信機能を停止させる前に、前記収集部が収集したデータのうち、優先度が高いデータの送信を前記通信部に行わせる、請求項1に記載の通信装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記通信部に前記通信機能を停止させている間、前記収集部に、少なくとも優先度が高いデータを収集させ、
前記制御部は、前記通信部に前記通信機能を再開させた後に通信途絶が解消した場合、前記通信部に前記通信機能を停止させている間に前記収集部に収集された前記データを送信させる、請求項1または2に記載の通信装置。 - 前記所定の情報は、予め設定された走行経路を表す情報、および、車両の周囲の所定範囲内の各地点における通信可否を表す情報を含む、請求項1~3のいずれかに記載の通信装置。
- 前記所定の情報は、ステアリングの操舵角、および、車両の周囲の所定範囲内の各地点における通信可否を表す情報を含む、請求項1~3のいずれかに記載の通信装置。
