CO + H2O ⇔ CO2 + H2 (水性ガスシフト反応)
(i)酸性アルミノシリケート、シリケート、ゼオライト、γ-アルミナのような酸化アルミニウム、またはこれらの混合物、
(ii)0.1~20質量%(触媒活性成分を基準とする)のニオブ、タンタル、リン、またはホウ素を含有するγ-酸化アルミニウム、酸性水酸化アルミニウム、および/または水酸化酸化アルミニウム、あるいはこれらの混合物、または
(iii)酸性酸化ニオブ、酸化タンタル、酸化チタン、酸化ジルコニウム、酸化ケイ素、リン酸アルミニウム、リン酸ニオブ、またはこれらの混合物
からなる群から選択され、
メタノールをジメチルエーテルにするための触媒粒子が、少なくとも1種の遷移金属をさらに含む。
(A)合成ガスをメタノールにするための触媒粒子60~80質量%、なお、この触媒粒子は、触媒活性成分を含み、酸化銅、酸化アルミニウム、酸化亜鉛、酸化ジルコニウム、アモルファス酸化アルミニウム、三元酸化物、またはこれらの混合物からなる群から選択されるものである、
(B)メタノールをジメチルエーテルにするための触媒粒子20~40質量%、なお、この触媒粒子は、触媒活性成分を含み、
(i)酸性アルミノシリケート、シリケート、ゼオライト、γ-アルミナのような酸化アルミニウム、またはこれらの混合物;
(ii)0.1~20質量%(触媒活性成分(B)を基準とする)のニオブ、タンタル、リン、またはホウ素を含有するγ-酸化アルミニウム、酸性水酸化アルミニウム、および/または水酸化酸化アルミニウム、あるいはこれらの混合物;または
(iii)酸性酸化ニオブ、酸化タンタル、酸化チタン、酸化ジルコニウム、酸化ケイ素、リン酸アルミニウム、リン酸ニオブ、またはこれらの混合物、
からなる群から選択されるものである;および
(C)少なくとも1種の添加剤0~10質量%。
触媒層1は、触媒1粒子の充填床、または質量比が1:4~4:1である触媒1粒子と不活性1粒子との混合物の充填床として形成されており、触媒1は、ZnO、Al2O3および場合によりZrO2の他に、5~80質量%のCuOを含み、不活性1粒子は、Al2O3を含み;
触媒層2は、質量比が1:9~9:1である触媒1粒子と触媒2粒子との混合物の充填床として形成されており、触媒2粒子は、SiO2:Al2O3モル比が10~1500:1である酸性アルミノシリケートゼオライトで形成されており、触媒2粒子の合計質量(100質量%)を基準として、少なくとも1種のバインダー材料10~90質量%および少なくとも1種の遷移金属0.01~20質量%を含んでいる。
第1の触媒層は、合成ガスをメタノールにするための触媒と不活性材料のアルファ酸化アルミニウムとの混合物(50:50質量%)を含む。合成ガスをメタノールにするための触媒には、3mmの高さおよび直径を有する円柱状本体にタブレット化するための潤滑剤として、58.3質量%のCuO、19.4質量%のZnO、17.0質量%のAl2O3、2.4質量%のZrO2、および2.9質量%のグラファイトが含まれている。
第2の触媒層は、先程述べた合成ガスをメタノールにするための触媒とメタノールをジメチルエーテルにするための触媒との混合物(70%:30%または60%:40%質量%)を含む。メタノールをジメチルエーテルにするための触媒は、酸性成分としての60質量%のZSM-5ゼオライトと直径が3.2mmまたは1.6mmであり、長さが最高3.2mmである円柱状体に押し出すためのバインダーとしての40質量%の酸化アルミニウムとを含む。さらに、ゼオライトと酸化アルミニウムとを含む円柱状体に、0.5質量%の銅を含浸させることができる。
反応器は、合成ガスをメタノールにするための触媒とメタノールをジメチルエーテルにするための触媒との混合物(60%:40%(質量%))947mlで満される。合成ガスをメタノールにするための触媒は、3mmの高さおよび直径を有する円柱状体にタブレット化するための潤滑剤として、58.3質量%のCuO、19.4質量%のZnO、17.0質量%のAl2O3、2.4質量%のZrO2、および2.9質量%のグラファイトを含む。ジメチルエーテル合成触媒は、直径が3.2mmであり長さが最高3.2mmである円柱状体に押し出すための潤滑剤として、酸性成分としての60質量%のZSM-5ゼオライトとバインダーとしての40質量%の酸化アルミニウムとを含む。
反応器は、合成ガスをメタノールにするための触媒とメタノールをジメチルエーテルにするための触媒との混合物(50%:50%(質量%))692mlで満される。合成ガスをメタノールにするための触媒は、3mmの高さおよび直径を有する円柱状体にタブレット化するための潤滑剤として、58.3質量%のCuO、19.4質量%のZnO、17.0質量%のAl2O3、2.4質量%のZrO2、および2.9質量%のグラファイトを含む。メタノールをジメチルエーテルにするための触媒は、直径が1.6mmであり長さが最高3.2mmである円柱状体に押し出すための潤滑剤として、酸性成分としての60質量%のZSM-5ゼオライトとバインダーとしての40質量%の酸化アルミニウムを含む。さらに、ゼオライトと酸化アルミニウムとを含む円柱状体は、0.5質量%の銅で含浸される。
反応器は、2つの触媒層で満たされている。加熱部1内の反応器入口に配置されている触媒層1は、合成ガスをメタノールにするための触媒と不活性材料アルファ酸化アルミニウムとの混合物(50%:50%(質量%))330mlを含む。合成ガスをメタノールにするための触媒は、3mmの高さおよび直径を有する円柱状体にタブレット化するための潤滑剤として、58.3%質量%のCuO、19.4質量%のZnO、17.0質量%のAl2O3、2.4質量%のZrO2、および2.9質量%のグラファイトを含む。

Claims (12)
- SiO2:Al2O3のモル比が10~1500:1である酸性アルミノシリケートゼオライト、10~90質量%の少なくとも1種のバインダー材料、および0.01~20質量%の銅が含まれている触媒2粒子(なお、上記質量%は、触媒2粒子の合計質量(100質量%)を基準とする)と、ZnO、Al2O3、および場合によりZrO2の他に、5~80質量%のCuOを含む触媒1粒子との触媒混合物であって、
前記触媒混合物が、合成ガスまたはメタノールからジメチルエーテルを製造するために使用される、前記触媒混合物。 - 前記触媒1粒子と前記触媒2粒子との混合物(なお、その質量比は、1:9~9:1である)の充填床を形成している、請求項1に記載の触媒混合物。
- 前記触媒2粒子において、銅の量が、前記触媒2粒子の合計質量を基準として、0.3~5質量%である、請求項1または2に記載の触媒混合物。
- 前記触媒2粒子において、前記バインダー材料が、その触媒の活性成分とは異なる無機酸化物のバインダー材料である、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の触媒混合物。
- 前記無機酸化物バインダー材料が、Al2O3、SiO2、TiO2、ZrO2、またはこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項4に記載の触媒混合物。
- 前記無機酸化物バインダー材料の量が、前記触媒2粒子の合計質量を基準として、20~70質量%である、請求項4または5に記載の触媒混合物。
- 前記触媒2粒子が、前記触媒2粒子の合計質量(100質量%)を基準として、MFI型骨格構造を有する少なくとも1種の酸性アルミノシリケート30~80質量%、Al2O3、SiO2、TiO2およびZrO2から選択される少なくとも1種のバインダー材料20~70質量%、および銅0.1~5質量%で形成されている、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載の触媒混合物。
- 前記触媒2粒子が、ZSM-5アルミノシリケート、バインダー材料としてのAl2O3、および銅を含む、請求項1~7のいずれか一項に記載の触媒混合物。
- 前記触媒粒子が、0.5~5mmの平均最大粒径を有しており、そして、好ましくは、前記触媒粒子が、平均最大直径が1~3.5mmであり且つ平均長さと平均最大直径との比が0.5:1~10:1である押出成形物の充填床として存在する、請求項1~8のいずれか一項に記載の触媒混合物。
- 請求項1~9のいずれか一項に記載の触媒混合物とメタノールとを脱水条件下で接触させることを含む、メタノールからジメチルエーテルを製造する方法。
- その温度が、200~400℃、好ましくは270~280℃の範囲である、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 合成ガスをジメチルエーテルにするための方法またはメタノールをジメチルエーテルにするための方法における、請求項1~9のいずれか一項に記載の触媒混合物の使用方法。
