Description
(A)エチレンと炭素数が3~20のオレフィンとの共重合体が(A1)メタロセン系プロピレン/エチレン共重合体を含む、ホットメルト接着剤を提供する。
(A)共重合体において「炭素数3~20のオレフィン」は、具体的に、プロピレン、1-ブテン、1-ペンテン、1-ヘキセン、1-ヘプテン、1-オクテン、1-ノネン、1-デセン、cis-2-ブテン、trans-2-ブテン、イソブチレン、cis-2-ペンテン、trans-2-ペンテン、3-メチル-1-ブテン、2-メチル-2-ブテン及び2,3-ジメチル-2-ブテン等を例示できる。炭素数3~10のオレフィンが好ましく、プロピレン、ブテン、オクテンであることがより好ましい。
(B)共重合体において「エチレン性二重結合を有するカルボン酸エステル」は、具体的に、(メタ)アクリル酸メチル、(メタ)アクリル酸エチル、(メタ)アクリル酸ブチル、及び(メタ)アクリル酸2-エチルへキシル等の(メタ)アクリル酸エステル、酢酸ビニル及び酢酸アリル等のカルボン酸ビニル及びアリルエステル等を例示することができる。
(C)粘着付与樹脂は、ホットメルト接着剤に通常使用されるものであって、本発明が目的とするホットメルト接着剤を得ることができるものであれば、特に限定されることはない。
本明細書で「ワックス」とは、常温で固体、加熱すると液体となる重量平均分子量が15000未満の有機物であり、一般的に「ワックス」とされているものをいい、ワックス状の性質を有するものであれば、本発明に係るホットメルト接着剤を得ることができる限り、特に制限されるものではない。ワックスは、合成ワックスでも天然ワックスでも差し支えない。
本発明のホットメルト接着剤では、(A)共重合体、(B)共重合体、(C)粘着付与樹脂及び(D)ワックスの合計100重量部当たり、(A1)メタロセン系プロピレン/エチレン共重合体は5~40重量部含まれているのが好ましく、特に10~35重量部含まれるのが特に望ましく、15~30重量部含まれるのが最も望ましい。
本発明に係るホットメルト接着剤は、加熱及び溶融され、被着体の接着部分に塗工され、塗工された溶融状態のままで他の被着体に接触され、その後冷却及び固化されて、被着体を接合する。被着体としては、例えば、電子部品、木工、建築材料、衛生材料、紙材料等が挙げられるが、中でも紙、特に板紙が好適である。

(D5)ポリエチレンワックス(融点:109℃、針入度7、三井化学社製 ハイワックス320P(商品名))
(D6)ポリプロピレンワックス(融点:140/148℃、針入度1以下、三井化学社製 ハイワックスNP105(商品名))
(E1)フェノール系酸化防止剤(ADEKA社製社製 アデカスタブAO60(商品名))
(E2)リン系酸化防止剤(城北化学社製 JP650(商品名))
(E3)イオウ系酸化防止剤(住友化学社製 スミライザーTPS(商品名))
ブルックフィールド粘度計(27番ローター)及びサーモセルを用いて、ホットメルト接着剤の150℃溶融粘度を測定し、低温塗工性を評価した。評価基準は以下のとおりである。
○ : 150℃溶融粘度が2000mPas以上、3000mPas未満
× : 150℃溶融粘度が3000mPas以上
(サンプル作製)
150℃に溶融させたホットメルト接着剤を、Kライナー段ボールに、塗工量2g/m、セットタイム10秒、オープンタイム3秒、プレス圧1kg/25cm2の条件でKライナー段ボールを貼り合わせた。
作製したサンプルを60℃、23℃、又は-10℃に設定した恒温槽中に24時間養生し、その後、その雰囲気下にて、手剥離にて強制剥離した。全接着面積に占めるKライナー段ボールの破壊の割合を材破率(材料が破壊された割合)とし、その状態を評価した。評価基準は以下のとおりである。
○ : 材破率が60%~80%
△ : 材破率が40%以上で、60%未満
× : 材破率が40%未満
(サンプル作製)
ホットメルト接着剤を70ccのガラス瓶に20g入れ、150℃恒温槽にて72時間保管し、1)粘度増減率、2)炭化物の発生について確認した。評価基準は以下のとおりである。
1)粘度増減率
粘度増減率は、ホットメルト接着剤の150℃での初期粘度に対し、1週間後のホットメルト接着剤の150℃での粘度が増減した割合である。
粘度増減率(%)=(150℃で1週間保管後の溶融粘度)×100/150℃での初期粘度)-100
○ : 粘度増減率が5%~10%
△ : 粘度増減率が10%より大きく、20%より小さい
× : 粘度増減率が20%以上
◎ : 炭化物なし
○ : 炭化物がわずかにあり
△ : 炭化物があり
× : 炭化物が著しい
(サンプル作製)
150℃に溶融させたホットメルト接着剤を、Kライナー段ボールに、塗工量2g/m、オープンタイム3秒、プレス圧1kg/25cm2の条件でKライナー段ボールを貼り合わせた。
作製したサンプルを垂直方向に一定速度で強制剥離し、剥離強度が6Kgf以上、かつKライナー段ボールが材破するまでの時間(固化速度)をセットタイムとし、その時間を測定した。評価基準は以下のとおりである。
○ : セットタイムが0.5秒以上、0.7秒未満
× : セットタイムが0.7秒以上
(サンプル作製)
150℃に溶融させたホットメルト接着剤を、Kライナー段ボールに、塗工量2g/m、セットタイム10秒、オープンタイム3秒、プレス圧1kg/25cm2の条件でKライナー段ボールを貼り合わせた。
作製したサンプルを60℃雰囲気下で、応力方向に300g/25cm2荷重を掛け、貼り合わせたサンプルが剥離するまでの時間を測定した。評価基準は以下のとおりである。
○ : 剥離時間が3時間~8時間満
× : 剥離時間が3時間未満
ホットメルトガンの先端から20cm離れた被着体へホットメルト接着剤を垂直に間欠塗布した。ホットメルトガンと被着体との間の落下物の状態を目視にて観察し、糸曳き性を評価した。測定条件及び評価基準は以下のとおりである。
温度設定:タンク、ホース、及びノズル全て150℃
ノズル径:14/1000インチ
ノズル:4orifice(吐出口の数:4)
塗出圧力:0.3MPa
塗出ショット数:4orificeは180ショット/1分間
○ : 落下物の形状は殆ど粒状であるが、わずかに糸状のものが混在
△ : 落下物の形状は、粒状と糸状が混在
× : 落下物の形状は糸状
Claims (6)
- (A)エチレンと炭素数が3~20のオレフィンとの共重合体、(B)エチレンとエチレン性二重結合を有するカルボン酸エステルとの共重合体、(C)粘着付与樹脂および(D)ワックスを有し、
(A)エチレンと炭素数が3~20のオレフィンとの共重合体が(A1)メタロセン系プロピレン/エチレン共重合体を含む、ホットメルト接着剤であって、
(A)エチレンと炭素数が3~20のオレフィンとの共重合体が、さらに、(A2)メタロセン系エチレン/オクテン共重合体を含み、
(A)~(D)の総重量100重量部に対し、(B)が2~8重量部含まれる、ホットメルト接着剤。 - (B)エチレンとエチレン性二重結合を有するカルボン酸エステルとの共重合体が(B1)エチレン/酢酸ビニル共重合体を含む、請求項1に記載のホットメルト接着剤。
- (A)~(D)の総重量100重量部に対し、(A1)が5~40重量部含まれる、請求項1または2に記載のホットメルト接着剤。
- (A)~(D)の総重量100重量部に対し、(A2)が10~40重量部含まれる、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載のホットメルト接着剤。
- (A)~(D)の合計100重量部に対し、(C)が30~60重量部含まれる、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載のホットメルト接着剤。
- 被着体である紙における接着部分と、その複数の接着部分に接着し固化した請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載のホットメルト接着剤とを、有してなる紙製品。
