Description
これに対し、車両用シートから膨張展開した袋体の大きさは同一であり、小柄な乗員に対しては、袋体と乗員の身体との間に隙間ができる等して、乗員の身体を袋体で十分に受け止めることができない場合がある。また、大柄な乗員に対しては、袋体によって乗員の身体を覆うことができない場合がある。
図1、図2に示すように、車両1は、車室内に、エアバッグ装置40を備えた車両用シート3を備えている。
なお、シートバック32を傾動させるための具体的な構成については、所要の機能を実現できるのであれば、いかなるものとしてもよい。
体格検知部50としては、乗員100の身体を撮像するカメラを用いてもよい。カメラで撮像された画像は、展開度合調整部60に出力される。
縫製部72は、インフレータ41から袋体42内に充填されるガスの圧力が、予め定めた基準値を越えた場合に破断するように、縫製強度が設定されている。
まず、乗員100が車両用シート3に着座し、シートベルト90を装着すると、体格検知部50のシートベルトセンサは、乗員100が身体に掛けるために繰り出したシートベルト繰出し量を検知する。体格検知部50での検知信号は、展開度合調整部60に出力される。
以上により、エアバッグ装置40の作動が完了する。
図3は、本実施形態の変形例に係るエアバッグ装置を搭載した車両用シートを示す図であって、エアバッグ装置が展開した状態を示す側面図である。
図3に示すように、容量変化部70として、袋体42の前方延設部44の前後方向の長さを規制する帯状のテザー73を設けてもよい。テザー73は、前方延設部44を前後方向に縮めた状態で、前方延設部44の前後方向の長さを規制している。テザー73は、例えば、インフレータ41から袋体42に供給されるガスの圧力が、予め定められた基準値以上となった場合に破断する。また、テザー73は、後述する展開度合調整部60からの指令に基づいて作動するテザーカッター等の切断部75により破断するようにしてもよい。テザー73が破断すると、袋体42の前後方向の長さの規制が解除されて袋体42が前後方向に伸びるとともに、袋体42内の容積も増大する。
また、展開度合調整部60は、体格検知部50で検知された乗員100の体格(シートベルト繰出し量)が、予め定められた基準以上である場合、切断部75により、テザー73を破断させてもよい。
例えば、上記実施形態では、エアバッグ装置40は、後部バッグ43と、一対の前方延設部44と、前部バッグ45とを備えるようにしたが、乗員100を有効に保護することができるのであれば、その形状、構成については、適宜変更することができる。
そして、上記実施形態における構成は本発明の一例であり、当該発明の要旨を逸脱しない範囲で種々の変更が可能である。

Claims (6)
- 車両用シート(3)に設けられ、衝撃入力時に膨張展開し、前記車両用シート(3)に着座した乗員(100)の身体が前記車両用シート(3)のシートバック(32)から離間することを抑える袋体(42)と、
衝撃入力時に前記袋体(42)にガスを供給するインフレータ(41)と、
前記車両用シート(3)に着座した乗員(100)の体格を検知する体格検知部(50)と、
前記体格検知部(50)で検知された乗員(100)の体格に応じて、前記袋体(42)の膨張展開の度合いを調整する展開度合調整部(60)と、
を備え、
前記袋体(42)は、前記袋体(42)の容量を変化させる容量変化部(70)を有し、
前記展開度合調整部(60)は、前記容量変化部(70)で前記袋体(42)の容量を変化させることで、前記袋体(42)の膨張展開の度合いを、前記袋体(42)の前後方向の長さが大きくなるように調整し、
前記容量変化部(70)は、前記車両用シート(3)に着座した乗員(100)よりも後方に設けられている
ことを特徴とするエアバッグ装置(40)。 - 前記展開度合調整部(60)は、前記袋体(42)内に前記インフレータ(41)から充填されるガスの量を調整することで、前記袋体(42)の容量を調整する
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のエアバッグ装置(40)。 - 前記体格検知部(50)で検知された乗員(100)の体格が、予め定められた基準よりも小さい場合、第一の本数の前記インフレータ(41)から前記袋体(42)内にガスを供給し、
前記体格検知部(50)で検知された乗員(100)の体格が、予め定められた基準以上に大きい場合、第一の本数よりも多い第二の本数の前記インフレータ(41)から前記袋体(42)内にガスを供給する
請求項2に記載のエアバッグ装置(40)。 - 前記展開度合調整部(60)は、前記袋体(42)内に前記インフレータ(41)から充填されるガスの圧力が、予め定めた基準値を越えた場合に、前記袋体(42)に設けられて前記袋体(42)を縫製する縫製部(72)を破断させることで、前記袋体(42)の膨張展開の度合いを調整する
ことを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載のエアバッグ装置(40)。 - 前記袋体(42)は、
前記シートバック(32)の幅方向両側から前方に向かって延びる一対の前方延設部(44)と、
前記前方延設部(44)に連続して設けられ、前記車両用シート(3)に着座する乗員(100)の前方側に展開し、前記乗員(100)の胴体(101)の上部(102)に当接する前部バッグ(45)と、を備える
ことを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載のエアバッグ装置(40)。 - 一対の前記前方延設部(44)は、
前記乗員(100)の頭部(108)を挟んで前記車両用シート(3)の幅方向における両側にそれぞれ展開し、前記乗員(100)の頭部(108)の側面(105)及び前面(106)に沿う
ことを特徴とする請求項5に記載のエアバッグ装置(40)。
