Description
以下、図3乃至図9を参照して第1実施形態及びその変形例の表示装置DSPについて説明する。第1実施形態及び後述する各種実施形態は、駆動領域3の配線32を覆う第1樹脂膜51を備え、第1樹脂膜51の端部51Eと第2基板SUB2の第1端面E1との間に隙間OPが形成されていることが特徴の一つである。第1樹脂膜51は、例えば感光性のアクリル樹脂等から形成されている。
その他、第1実施形態からは、種々の好適な効果を得ることができる。
図10は、第2実施形態の表示装置DSPの概略的な構成を示す断面図である。第2実施形態は、第1樹脂膜51の近傍に第1突起部34が形成されている点が第1実施形態と異なる。第1突起部34は、駆動領域3の表面から厚み方向Zに突出し、第2基板SUB2の第1端面E1から隙間OPをあけて第1方向Xに延在している。換言すると、第1突起部34は、第1端面E1に沿って延びる凸条である。第1突起部34は、一条(一本)であってもよいし、二条以上であってもよい。
図11は、第3実施形態の表示装置の概略的な構成を示す断面図である。第3実施形態は、導電パッド33の近傍に第2突起部35が形成されている点が第1実施形態と異なる。第2突起部35は、第1突起部34と同様の凸条であり、ST2の工程において形成できる。第2突起部35は、導電パッド33よりも一回り大きい環状に形成され、導電パッド33の周りを囲んでいる。図11に示す例では、第2突起部35を二重に形成している。なお、第2突起部35を一重に形成してもよいし、三重以上に形成してもよい。また、第2突起部35は、環の一部が途切れていてもよい。
Claims (9)
- 表示領域を有する可撓性の第1基板及び第2基板と、
前記第1基板にあり、複数の端子が形成された駆動領域と、
前記複数の端子に接続された外部駆動回路と、
前記複数の端子から前記表示領域側に延在する配線と、
前記配線に重畳する第1樹脂膜と、
前記第2基板の上に重ねられた偏光部材と、を備え、
前記偏光部材の端部は、前記第2基板の端部よりも前記表示領域側であり、
平面視において、前記第1樹脂膜と前記第2基板との間に隙間があり、
前記隙間を覆う第2樹脂膜を備える表示装置。 - 前記第2樹脂膜は、前記第2基板の少なくとも一部を覆っている請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記複数の端子から前記表示領域に向かう方向において、前記第1樹脂膜の幅は、前記駆動領域の幅の90%以上100%未満である請求項1又は2に記載の表示装置。
- 平面視において、前記偏光部材と前記第2樹脂膜とは重畳しない請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記外部駆動回路の配線の延在方向に交差する方向に延在する第1突起部をさらに備え、
前記第1突起部は、前記第1樹脂膜の近傍にある請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載の表示装置。 - 前記駆動領域には、前記第2基板又は前記第2基板の上に重ねられた導通部材に導通する導電パッドがあり、
前記導電パッドは、平面視において前記第1樹脂膜に重畳しない請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項に記載の表示装置。 - 前記導電パッドの近傍に第2突起部をさらに備えている請求項6に記載の表示装置。
- 表示領域を有する可撓性の第1基板及び第2基板と、
前記第1基板にあり、複数の端子が形成された駆動領域と、
前記複数の端子に接続された外部駆動回路と、
前記複数の端子から前記表示領域側に延在する配線と、
前記配線に重畳する第1樹脂膜と、
前記外部駆動回路の配線の延在方向に交差する方向に延在する第1突起部と、を備え、
平面視において、前記第1樹脂膜と前記第2基板との間に隙間があり、
前記第1突起部は、前記第1樹脂膜の近傍にある表示装置。 - 表示領域を有する可撓性の第1基板及び第2基板と、
前記第1基板にあり、複数の端子が形成された駆動領域と、
前記複数の端子に接続された外部駆動回路と、
前記複数の端子から前記表示領域側に延在する配線と、
前記配線に重畳する第1樹脂膜と、を備え、
平面視において、前記第1樹脂膜と前記第2基板との間に隙間があり、
前記駆動領域には、前記第2基板又は前記第2基板の上に重ねられた導通部材に導通する導電パッドがあり、
前記導電パッドは、平面視において前記第1樹脂膜に重畳せず、
前記導電パッドの近傍に第2突起部を備える表示装置。
