Description
そして、接着剤層における補強部材の面方向外側端部より面方向外側に配置された部位の車両前後方向の厚みが、面方向外側へ向かうにつれて薄くなるように形成されている。これにより、車両の衝突等によって車両構成部材に入力された外力が接着剤層へ伝達された際に、補強部材の面方向外側端部近傍に配置された接着剤層へ応力が集中することが抑制される。その結果、接着剤層の面方向外側端部が本体部から剥離することが抑制され、車両構成部材と補強部材の接合強度が向上される。
請求項1に記載の車両構成部材の製造方法によれば、予め金属製の本体部の一方の縦壁に接着剤層とシート状の繊維強化樹脂を積層した状態にする第1工程と第2工程を有する。次に、第3工程によって、本体部の一方の縦壁を被覆部材で覆い、本体部の一方の縦壁と被覆部材との間に形成された内部空間の真空引きを行う。その後、第4工程によって、本体部の一方の縦壁に加熱処理を施すことにより、車両構成部材における補強部材と接着剤層の熱硬化処理を同時に行う。
なお、第1工程における接着剤層の積層は電着塗装としてもよい。また、第1工程では、接着剤層18を配置する前に本体部13を脱脂処理してもよい。若しくは、接着剤層18の車両前後方向後側面全体を粗面化処理(例えば、プラズマ処理など)してもよい。上記処理などを行うことで、本体部13と接着剤層18との接合面積が増加し、接合強度を高めることができる。
次に、本実施形態の作用並びに効果について説明する。
上記実施形態では、補強部材16が接着剤層18に埋設されているため、補強部材16の面方向外側端部16Aが接着剤層18に覆われている構成としたが、本発明はこれに限らない。図8(A)に示されるように、補強部材16が、接着剤層18に埋設されない構成としてもよい。つまり、補強部材16と接着剤層18が面方向に沿った接合面U1のみで接合される構成としてもよい。
又は、図8(C)に示されるように、補強部材16が接着剤層60に埋設されない構成とし、接着剤層60の端部層60Bの断面形状を、車両前後方向に沿った断面視で三角形状としてもよい。
若しくは、図8(E)に示されるように、補強部材16が接着剤層70に埋設されない構成とし、接着剤層70の端部層70Bの外側表面を、車両前後方向前後側(本体部13側)に凸をなす円弧状に形成してもよい。
次に、図9及び図10を用いて、第2実施形態に係る車両構成部材としてのドアインパクトビーム80ついて説明する。なお、前述した第1実施形態と同一構成部分については、同一符号を付してその説明を省略する。この第2実施形態に係るドアインパクトビーム80は、アルミニウム合金等の金属製の本体部82に接着剤層18を介して補強部材16が接合されている。
本実施形態においても、前述した第1実施形態の構成を基本的には踏襲しているので、同様の作用・効果が得られる。
次に、図11及び図12を用いて、第3実施形態に係る車両構成部材としてのBピラー90ついて説明する。なお、前述した第1実施形態と同一構成部分については、同一符号を付してその説明を省略する。この第3実施形態に係るBピラー90は、アルミニウム合金等の金属製の本体部92に接着剤層18を介して補強部材16が接合されている。

Claims (1)
- 互いに対向して配置された一対の縦壁を有する金属製の本体部と、
繊維強化樹脂を用いてシート状に形成されかつ一方の前記縦壁における他方の前記縦壁とは反対側の面に配置された補強部材と、
一方の前記縦壁と前記補強部材との間に設けられて両者を接合すると共に、前記補強部材の面方向外側端部より面方向外側に配置された部位の車両前後方向の厚みが、面方向外側へ向かうにつれて薄くなるように形成されている接着剤層と、
を備えた車両構成部材の製造方法であって、
前記本体部の一方の前記縦壁に前記接着剤層を設ける第1工程と、
前記接着剤層の上から前記補強部材を構成するシート状に形成された繊維強化樹脂を積層する第2工程と、
積層された前記繊維強化樹脂の上から前記本体部における一方の前記縦壁を被覆部材で覆い、一方の前記縦壁と前記被覆部材との間に形成された内部空間の真空引きを行う第3工程と、
前記被覆部材に覆われた状態で一方の前記縦壁に加熱処理を施し、前記繊維強化樹脂と前記接着剤層の熱硬化処理を同時に行う第4工程と、
を含んで構成される車両構成部材の製造方法。
