Description
(1) 近位端及び遠位端を有する細長いカテーテル本体と、該細長いカテーテル本体を通って延びる灌注ルーメンと、該カテーテル本体の該遠位端の電極アセンブリとを含むカテーテルであって、該電極アセンブリは、該電極アセンブリの第1の位置に配置された機能性電極と、該第1の位置の近位に配置されたシャンティング電極とを備え、該シャンティング電極は、前記灌注ルーメンの中に含まれる灌注液に電気的に接続するように構成されている、カテーテル。
(2) 前記シャンティング電極は、前記電極アセンブリが患者の血管系に配置されたときに前記シャンティング電極の周囲にある血液と、前記灌注ルーメン内に含まれる灌注液との間に電気回路を形成するように構成されている、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(3) 前記機能性電極は、前記灌注ルーメンによって灌注液が供給された、灌注される電極である、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(4) 前記電極アセンブリは、前記第1の位置の遠位に配置された複数の灌注される電極を備える、実施態様3に記載のカテーテル。
(5) 前記電極アセンブリは、さらに、前記シャンティング電極の遠位に配置された少なくとも1つのさらなる機能性電極を備える、実施態様4に記載のカテーテル。
(7) 前記シャンティング電極は、前記第1の位置から少なくとも6mmの距離離れている、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(8) 前記シャンティング電極は、前記灌注ルーメンの中に配置されたパッドに電気的に接続する、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(9) 治療のための方法であって、
近位端及び遠位端を有する細長いカテーテル本体と、該細長いカテーテル本体を通って延びる灌注ルーメンと、該カテーテル本体の該遠位端の電極アセンブリを有するカテーテルを提供することであって、該電極アセンブリは、該電極アセンブリの第1の位置に配置された機能性電極と、該第1の位置の近位に配置されたシャンティング電極とを備える、ことと、
該電極アセンブリを備える該カテーテルの該遠位端を、患者内の所望の領域に進めることと、
該灌注ルーメンを介して灌注液を供給することと、
該シャンティング電極によって、前記患者内の所望の領域で、該灌注液と血液とを電気的に接続することとを含む、方法。
(10) 前記灌注ルーメンを介して灌注液を供給することが、蠕動ポンプを操作することを含む、実施態様9に記載の方法。
(12) 前記灌注液と血液とを電気的に接続すると、前記蠕動ポンプから得られる前記心電図信号中のノイズが減る、実施態様10に記載の方法。
Claims (6)
- 近位端及び遠位端を有する細長いカテーテル本体と、該細長いカテーテル本体を通って延びる灌注ルーメンと、該カテーテル本体の該遠位端の電極アセンブリとを含むカテーテルであって、該電極アセンブリは、管状部材と、該管状部材の第1の位置に配置された機能性電極と、該第1の位置の近位に配置されたシャンティング電極とを備え、該シャンティング電極は、前記灌注ルーメンの中に含まれる灌注液に電気的に接続するように構成されており、
前記シャンティング電極は、前記管状部材の外周に取り付けられる内周部を有する筒状部と、前記筒状部から内方に突出して、前記管状部材の側壁を通って、前記灌注ルーメンの中に延びる内方突出部と、を備え、
前記電極アセンブリが患者の血管系に配置されたときに、前記シャンティング電極の前記筒状部の外周部は、前記シャンティング電極の周囲にある血液と接触し、前記シャンティング電極の前記内方突出部は、前記灌注ルーメン内に含まれる灌注液と接触し、これにより、前記シャンティング電極は、前記電極アセンブリが患者の血管系に配置されたときに、前記シャンティング電極の周囲にある血液と、前記灌注ルーメン内に含まれる灌注液との間のみに電気回路を形成するように構成されている、カテーテル。 - 前記機能性電極は、前記灌注ルーメンによって灌注液が供給された、灌注される電極である、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記電極アセンブリは、前記第1の位置の遠位に配置された複数の灌注される電極を備える、請求項2に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記電極アセンブリは、さらに、前記シャンティング電極の遠位に配置された少なくとも1つのさらなる機能性電極を備える、請求項3に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記シャンティング電極は、前記第1の位置から、前記機能性電極の長さの少なくとも2倍の距離離れている、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記シャンティング電極は、前記第1の位置から少なくとも6mmの距離離れている、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
