Description
1)破裂又は膨張せずに、使い捨ての薄壁プラスチック型での低圧射出成形ができるほど十分に低い粘度のスラリーから形成されること。
2)セラミック含有量の不均質性、収縮差及び同類のものをもたらす過度の沈降なく、注入後の部品の取扱い及び二次加工を可能にするのに十分な高い粘度及び降伏応力を有するスラリーから形成されること。
3)素地の状態で十分な強度を有し、良好な寸法公差の歩留りで生産できるほど十分に低い硬化及び焼成中の収縮性を有すること。
4)必要な焼成体の全ての性質の要件、例えば取扱いのための室温強度、鋳造のための高温強度及び耐クリープ性、高温割れ及び金属再結晶化を避けるための圧縮強度を制限するのに十分な低密度(すなわち十分な多孔性)などを満たし、実用的な温度及び圧力条件下、実用的な時間で効果的な浸出を可能にすること。

下の表2は、実施例1のスラリーのアルミナ部分を形成するために混合された測定したアルミナ粒度及び重量百分率を記載したものである。
本発明の組成物のもう一つの例を下に示す。この組成物は、約40体積%の多孔性をもたらし、最終の試験片においてムライトが完全に変換され、体積変化がないことが推定される。
この実験の組は下の表4に記載される4つのサンプルの反応性を比較する。サンプル1及び2は、それぞれ、シリカ−ジルコン及びアルミナ組成物を表す比較ベースラインである。サンプル3及び4は、それぞれ、実施例2及び1で製造した材料に対応する本発明の実施形態である。
Claims (18)
- 反応性金属のインベストメント鋳造用のセラミック中子の製造方法であって、当該方法が、
a.アルミナ粒子及びシロキサンバインダーを含むスラリーを型に注入する工程と、
b.スラリーをセラミック中子へ熱変換する工程と
を含み、セラミック中子が、ムライト、アルミナ及び11重量%以下の遊離シリカを含み、
総アルミナ粒子+シロキサンバインダーに対する前記スラリー中のアルミナ粒子の重量%は、67.6重量%〜90重量%である、方法。 - 熱変換工程が1400℃〜1700℃の温度で実施される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- セラミック中子が0.1重量%〜6重量%の遊離シリカを含有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 酸化物をセラミック中子の実質的に表面全体に塗工する工程をさらに含み、酸化物が、シリカの形成の正規化されたギブズ自由エネルギーよりも小さい、形成の正規化されたギブズ自由エネルギーを有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 酸化物が、イットリウム、ジルコニウム又はアルミニウムを含む、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 酸化物が、酸化イットリウム、ケイ酸イットリウム及び酸化アルミニウムイットリウムの1種以上から選択される、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 塗工工程が、セラミック中子をイットリウム、ジルコニウム又はアルミニウムを含む酸化物の溶液又は懸濁液にディップコーティングすること、或いはイットリウム、ジルコニウム又はアルミニウムを含む酸化物の溶液又は懸濁液をセラミック中子の表面に噴霧又は刷毛塗りすることによって達成される、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 型が、使い捨ての中子型である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 溶融した反応性金属をムライト、アルミナ及び11重量%以下の遊離シリカを含むセラミック中子と接触させる工程であって、前記セラミック中子は請求項1に記載の方法によって得ることができる工程と、反応性金属を凝固させる工程を含む、金属鋳造品の製造方法。
- セラミック中子が、セラミック中子の実質的に表面全体に酸化物をさらに含み、酸化物が、シリカの形成の正規化されたギブズ自由エネルギーよりも小さい、形成の正規化されたギブズ自由エネルギーを有する、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 反応性金属が、ニッケル及びイットリウムを含む合金から選択される、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 反応性金属が、ニッケル及びイットリウムを含む合金から選択される、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 酸化物が、イットリウム、ジルコニウム又はアルミニウムを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 酸化物が、酸化イットリウム、ケイ酸イットリウム及び酸化アルミニウムイットリウムの1種以上から選択される、請求項13に記載の方法。
- セラミック中子が、使い捨ての中子型を使用して形成される、請求項9に記載の方法。
- ムライト、アルミナ及び11重量%以下の遊離シリカ、並びにセラミック中子の実質的に表面全体に配置された酸化物を含み、前記セラミック中子はムライトによって連続的に取り囲まれた遊離シリカを含む、セラミック中子。
- 酸化物がイットリウムを含む、請求項16に記載のセラミック中子。
- 酸化物がY2O3である、請求項17に記載のセラミック中子。
