Description
液体試料を、試料調製装置の多孔質担体と接触させる工程であって、この装置が、
第1の開口部及び第2の開口部を含む、ケーシングと、
多孔質担体とを備え、
多孔質担体が、第1の所定の場所に試料受け入れ区域を備え、第2の所定の場所に標的検体結合区域を備えており、この多孔質担体が、試料受け入れ区域から標的検体結合区域を通って延びる、第1の流体経路を画定し、
多孔質担体の少なくとも一部分が、ケーシング内に配設され、
第2の流体経路が、ケーシングを貫通して第1の開口部から第2の開口部に延び、この第2の流体経路が、多孔質担体と標的検体結合区域で交差している、工程と、
液体試料の少なくとも一部分が、多孔質担体を通って、試料受け入れ区域から標的検体結合区域に向けて、長手方向に移動することを可能にする工程と、
その液体の少なくとも一部分が、標的検体結合区域まで移動した後に、分離部材を付勢して、第1の開口部から第2の開口部へと、第2の流体経路を通過させることにより、標的検体結合区域の一部分を排出する工程と、
その標的検体結合区域の一部分を処理して、標的検体を検出する工程とを含む、方法である。
液体試料を、試料調製装置の多孔質担体と接触させる工程であって、この装置が、
第1の開口部及び第2の開口部を含む、ケーシングと、
多孔質担体とを備え、
多孔質担体が、第1の所定の場所に試料受け入れ区域を備え、第2の所定の場所に標的検体結合区域を備えており、この多孔質担体が、試料受け入れ区域から標的検体結合区域を通って延びる、第1の流体経路を画定し、
多孔質担体の少なくとも一部分が、ケーシング内に配設され、
第2の流体経路が、第1の開口部及び第2の開口部からケーシングを貫通して延び、この第2の流体経路が、多孔質担体と標的検体結合区域で交差している、工程と、
液体試料の少なくとも一部分が、多孔質担体を通って、試料受け入れ区域から標的検体結合区域に向けて、長手方向に移動することを可能にする工程と、
その液体の少なくとも一部分が、標的検体結合区域に移動した後に、放出溶液を付勢して第2の流体経路を通過させることにより、第2の流体経路内に標的微生物が存在する場合には、その標的微生物を含む放出溶液の一部を、装置から排出する工程と、
その放出溶液の一部を処理して、標的検体を検出する工程とである、方法である。
内部、第1の開口部、及び第2の開口部を含む、ケーシングと、
試料受け入れ区域及び標的検体結合区域を含む、多孔質担体とを備え、
多孔質担体が、試料受け入れ区域から標的検体結合区域に延びる、第1の流体経路を画定し、
多孔質担体の少なくとも一部分が、ケーシングの内部に配設され、
中心軸線を備える第2の流体経路が、ケーシングを貫通して第1の開口部及び第2の開口部から延び、この第2の流体経路が、多孔質担体と標的検体結合区域で交差し、
中心軸線が、第1の流体経路に直交する向きである、装置である。
Claims (10)
- 標的検体を検出する方法であって、
液体試料を、試料調製装置の多孔質担体と接触させる工程であって、前記試料調製装置は、
第1の開口部及び第2の開口部を含むケーシングと、
前記多孔質担体と、を備え、
前記多孔質担体は、第1の所定の場所に試料受け入れ区域を備え、第2の所定の場所に標的検体結合区域を備えており、前記多孔質担体は、前記試料受け入れ区域から前記標的検体結合区域を通って延びている第1の流体経路を画定し、
前記多孔質担体の少なくとも一部分は、前記ケーシング内に配設され、
第2の流体経路は、前記第1の開口部から前記第2の開口部まで前記ケーシングを貫通して延び、前記第2の流体経路は、前記標的検体結合区域で前記多孔質担体と交差している、工程と、
前記液体試料の少なくとも一部分が、前記多孔質担体を通って、前記試料受け入れ区域から前記標的検体結合区域に向けて、長手方向に移動することを可能にする工程と、
前記液体試料の前記少なくとも一部分が、前記標的検体結合区域まで移動した後に、分離部材を付勢して、前記第2の流体経路を前記第1の開口部から前記第2の開口部へと通過させることにより、前記標的検体結合区域の一部分を排出させる工程と、
前記標的検体結合区域の前記一部分、又は前記一部分から放出された細胞を処理して、前記標的検体を検出する工程と、を含む、方法。 - 前記ケーシングは、前記試料受け入れ区域へのアクセスを提供する試料ポートから前記ケーシングの内部に延びる第1の導管を更に備えている、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ケーシングは、前記第1の開口部から前記ケーシングの内部まで延びる第2の導管を更に備えている、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記試料調製装置は、前記多孔質担体内で前記第1の流体経路内に配設された流動インジケータを更に備えている、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記試料調製装置は、前記第1の開口部を取り外し可能に覆う取り外し可能な第1のカバー要素を更に備えている、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記試料調製装置は、前記第2の開口部を取り外し可能に覆う取り外し可能な第2のカバー要素を更に備えている、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記試料調製装置は、前記試料ポートを取り外し可能に覆う取り外し可能な第3のカバー要素を更に備えている、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記試料調製装置は、前記第2の開口部の近位に配設された吸収体を更に備えている、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記吸収体は、前記多孔質担体から離れて配置されている、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記試料調製装置は、前記第1の開口部から前記第2の開口部まで前記第2の流体経路を貫通するように寸法設定された分離部材を更に備え、
前記分離部材は、水性液体を付勢して前記ケーシングを通過させるように構成されている、請求項1に記載の方法。
