表1に示す組成(数値は質量%を示す)に従い、グリセリン及び軽質流動パラフィンに加えて、各種界面活性剤を添加し、口腔用組成物を調製した。混合は、より詳細には次のようにして行った。容器(ビーカー)にグリセリンと各種界面活性剤を加え、ガラス棒を用いた手動攪拌、あるいはディスパーミキサーにより撹拌してこれらを混合した。この際、必要に応じて加温を行った。撹拌を続けながら、さらに軽質流動パラフィンを少量ずつ加えた。用いた軽質流動パラフィンは、モレスコホワイトP−70(株式会社MORESCO)である。ただし、実施例4のみモレスコホワイトP−350(株式会社MORESCO)を用いた。モレスコホワイトP−70は、動粘度が12.56mm2/s(40℃)、平均分子量が323の軽質流動パラフィンであるのに対して、モレスコホワイトP−350は動粘度が67.65mm2/s(40℃)、平均分子量が483の軽質流動パラフィンである。
Preparation of Composition for Interdental Brush According to the composition shown in Table 1 (numerical values indicate mass %), various surfactants were added in addition to glycerin and light liquid paraffin to prepare an oral composition. However, only Example 4 used Moresco White P-350 (MORESCO). Moresco White P-70 is a light liquid paraffin having a kinematic viscosity of 12.56 mm 2 /s (40° C.) and an average molecular weight of 323, whereas Moresco White P-350 has a kinematic viscosity of 67.65 mm. 2 /s (40° C.), a light liquid paraffin having an average molecular weight of 483.
調製直後、得られた各組成物を目視観察して、相分離の有無を確認した。相分離が起こらずゲル状(乳化状態)を保つものを○と評価し、油相が分離してしまったものを×と評価した(調製可否の評価)。さらに、得られた組成物をガラス容器に充填し、1週間室温(25℃)で静置した後に再度目視観察して、同様に評価した(1週間安定性評価)。なお、1週間安定性評価が○のものは、室温で1ヶ月程度まで相分離が起こらず安定であった。また、表1で用いたアルキルグリコシドは、Plantacare1200UP(BASF社)であり、より詳細には炭素数12〜16のアルキルアルコールのポリグリコシドの水溶液である。水の含有量は約47〜50%である。結果を表1にあわせて示す。 Immediately after the preparation, each composition obtained was visually observed to confirm the presence or absence of phase separation. The water content is about 47-50%. The results are also shown in Table 1.
歯間ブラシへの適用性の評価
表1に示す組成物の歯間ブラシへの適用可否を評価した。得られた組成物をチューブ径φ約16mm、吐出口径φ約1mmのチューブに充填し、ガム・歯間ブラシL字型(柄:ポリエチレン、毛:ナイロン、ワイヤー:ステンレス、サイズSSS(1):ブラシ長10mm、ブラシ先端径2mm、ブラシ後端径2.1mm、最小通過径〜0.8mmΦ)のブラシの長さ程度の量をチューブから押し出して、水平あるいは歯間ブラシの歯間通挿部の角度が先端を下にして45°傾けた状態で固定したガム・歯間ブラシL字型に乗せた。静置し、ブラシ上の組成物が、フィラメント間に浸透し、完全に垂れ落ちるまでの時間(保持時間)を測定した。また、ガム・歯間ブラシL字型を水に浸け、引き上げた際に自然にフィラメント間に保持される水を残した状態のガム・歯間ブラシL字型を用いて、同様に濡れ状態の歯間ブラシを用いた場合の保持時間を測定した。結果を表1に示す。

The results are shown in Table 1.

△:ブラシの上に組成物が乗り、ポリエチレン製円筒の口で滞留する。何度か通挿すると、組成物の一部はポリエチレン製円筒の中へ入る。
×:ポリエチレン製円筒の口に組成物が全く入らない。組成物がブラシから落下する。
