Description
Claims (9)
- 絶縁表面上に形成され、第1方向に隣同士が接続して配置されると共に、前記第1方向と交差する第2方向に隣同士が離間して配置された複数の第1電極と、
前記絶縁表面上に形成され、前記第2方向に隣同士が接続して配置されると共に、前記第1方向に隣同士が離間して配置された複数の第2電極と、
前記複数の第1電極と重畳するが前記複数の第2電極のいずれにも重畳しない領域にそれぞれ形成され、前記第2方向に隣同士が接続して配置されると共に、前記第1方向に隣同士が離間して配置された複数の第3電極と、
前記複数の第1電極と前記複数の第3電極との間に設けられた可撓性絶縁層と、
を有し、
前記複数の第3電極のそれぞれの面積は、前記複数の第1電極のそれぞれの面積よりも小さいことを特徴とするタッチセンサ。 - 請求項1に記載されたタッチセンサにおいて、
前記複数の第1電極と前記複数の第2電極との間の静電容量の変化を検出することにより、タッチの有無及び座標を判定すると共に、前記可撓性絶縁層の膜厚方向の変位による、前記複数の第1電極と前記複数の第3電極との間の静電容量の変化を検出することにより、タッチの押圧を判定することを特徴とするタッチセンサ。 - 請求項1に記載されたタッチセンサにおいて、
センシング回路をさらに有し、
前記センシング回路は、前記複数の第1電極及び前記複数の第2電極からなる電極群のそれぞれに寄生する第1静電容量に対応する第1物理量を測定し、得られた第1測定値が第1範囲から外れるときに、指を含む導電体の接近に起因して前記第1静電容量の有意な変化があったことを検知し、
前記センシング回路は、さらに、前記複数の第1電極のそれぞれと前記複数の第3電極のそれぞれとの間の第2静電容量に対応する第2物理量を測定し、得られた第2測定値が第2範囲から外れるときに、押圧力による前記可撓性絶縁層の圧縮に起因して前記第2静電容量の有意な変化があったことを検知することを特徴とするタッチセンサ。 - 請求項3に記載されたタッチセンサにおいて、
前記第1物理量は、前記複数の第1電極のそれぞれと前記複数の第2電極のそれぞれとの間の静電容量に対応し、
前記第1測定値は、第1所定値よりも小さいときに、前記第1範囲から外れることを特徴とするタッチセンサ。 - 請求項3又は4に記載されたタッチセンサにおいて、
前記第2測定値は、第2所定値よりも大きいときに、前記第2範囲から外れることを特徴とするタッチセンサ。 - 請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載されたタッチセンサにおいて、
前記可撓性絶縁層は、前記複数の第1電極と重畳する複数の第1領域から、前記複数の第2電極と重畳する複数の第2領域に連続的に設けられることを特徴とするタッチセンサ。 - 請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載されたタッチセンサにおいて、
前記可撓性絶縁層は、前記複数の第1電極と重畳する複数の第1領域と、前記複数の第1領域とは異なる第2領域とに、互いに離間して設けられることを特徴とするタッチセンサ。 - 請求項1から7のいずれか1項に記載されたタッチセンサにおいて、
前記複数の第3電極のそれぞれの前記面積は、前記複数の第1電極のそれぞれの前記面積に対して65%以下であることを特徴とするタッチセンサ。 - 請求項1から8のいずれか1項に記載されたタッチセンサと、
発光素子をそれぞれ有する複数の画素がマトリクス状に配置された表示領域を有する基板と、
前記表示領域を覆うと共に、少なくとも一層の無機絶縁層と、少なくとも一層の有機絶縁層と、を有する封止層と、
を有し、
前記タッチセンサは、前記封止層上にあることを特徴とするタッチセンサ付表示装置。
