Description
また、前記加圧ポンプによって、蒸発燃料を含まない気体を前記検出領域内に流入させたときの当該検出領域内の圧力と、蒸発燃料を含む気体が前記検出領域内に流入したことによる当該検出領域内の圧力上昇後の圧力センサの検出値との差に基づいて前記蒸発燃料の濃度を推定することを特徴とする。
更に、蒸発燃料を含まない気体を圧送するときの前記加圧ポンプのPQ特性を示すデータを記憶する手段を備えており、蒸発燃料を含まない気体を前記検出領域内に流入させたときの当該検出領域内の圧力は、前記PQ特性において示される前記所定の駆動条件に対応する圧力であることを特徴とする。

Claims (7)
- 燃料タンクからエンジン吸気管に向けて延びるパージ通路と、
このパージ通路上において、前記燃料タンクの下流側に接続され、前記燃料タンクからの蒸発燃料を受け入れ、蓄積するキャニスタと、
前記パージ通路上において、前記キャニスタの下流側に接続された加圧ポンプと、
前記パージ通路上において、前記加圧ポンプの下流側に接続されたパージ弁と、
前記加圧ポンプと前記パージ弁との間にある、パージ通路内の検出領域内の圧力を検出する圧力センサと、を備える蒸発燃料処理装置であって、
所定のエンジン運転状態において、前記パージ弁を閉じ、前記加圧ポンプを停止状態から所定の駆動条件で駆動させることにより、前記キャニスタに蓄積されている蒸発燃料を含む気体を前記検出領域内に流入させ、蒸発燃料を含む気体が前記検出領域に流入したことによる当該検出領域内の圧力上昇後の前記圧力センサの検出値に基づいて、当該検出領域内に流入した気体中の蒸発燃料の濃度を推定し、当該推定した蒸発燃料の濃度に基づき前記キャニスタに蓄積された蒸発燃料をパージし、
前記加圧ポンプによって、蒸発燃料を含まない気体を前記検出領域内に流入させたときの当該検出領域内の圧力と、蒸発燃料を含む気体が前記検出領域内に流入したことによる当該検出領域内の圧力上昇後の圧力センサの検出値との差に基づいて前記蒸発燃料の濃度を推定し、
蒸発燃料を含まない気体を圧送するときの前記加圧ポンプのPQ特性を示すデータを記憶する手段を備えており、
蒸発燃料を含まない気体を前記検出領域内に流入させたときの当該検出領域内の圧力は、前記PQ特性において示される前記所定の駆動条件に対応する圧力である、蒸発燃料処理装置。 - 蒸発燃料を含まない気体を前記検出領域内に流入させたときの当該検出領域内の圧力は、前記加圧ポンプを前記所定の駆動条件で駆動させたときに前記検出領域内において生じる圧力である、請求項1に記載の蒸発燃料処理装置。
- 予め測定された、蒸発燃料を含まない気体を前記検出領域内に流入させたときの当該検出領域内の圧力を記憶する手段を備えている、請求項1又は2に記載の蒸発燃料処理装置。
- 前記記憶する手段は、前記検出領域内に流入する気体の温度に対応させた、複数のPQ特性を示すデータを記憶しており、
蒸発燃料を含まない気体を前記検出領域内に流入させたときの当該検出領域内の圧力は、温度センサによって検出された気体の温度に対応するPQ特性を示すデータに基づいて決定された圧力である、請求項1乃至3の何れか1項に記載の蒸発燃料処理装置。 - 前記記憶する手段は、外気圧に対応させた、複数のPQ特性を示すデータを記憶しており、
蒸発燃料を含まない気体を前記検出領域内に流入させたときの当該検出領域内の圧力は、外気圧センサによって検出された外気圧に対応するPQ特性を示すデータに基づいて決定された圧力である、請求項1乃至3の何れか1項に記載の蒸発燃料処理装置。 - 前記加圧ポンプによって、蒸発燃料を含まない気体を前記検出領域内に流入させたときの当該検出領域内の圧力と、蒸発燃料を含む気体が前記検出領域内に流入したことによる当該検出領域内の圧力上昇後の圧力センサの検出値との差と、前記蒸発燃料の濃度との関係を示すデータを記憶する手段を備えており、前記蒸発燃料の濃度の推定は、当該データに基づいて行われる、請求項1乃至5の何れか1項に記載の蒸発燃料処理装置。
- 蒸発燃料の濃度値毎の前記加圧ポンプのPQ特性を示すデータを記憶する手段を備えており、
前記圧力センサによって検出された前記検出領域内の圧力と一致するPQ特性を選択し、当該選択されたPQ特性に対応する濃度値を、蒸発燃料の濃度と推定する、請求項1乃至5の何れか1項に記載の蒸発燃料処理装置。
