Claims (5)
- 固体電解質体(32)と該固体電解質体を挟む位置に設けられる一対の電極(33,34)とを用いてなる起電力セル(31)を有し、内燃機関(10)の排気を検出対象として該排気の空燃比に応じた起電力の信号を出力するガスセンサ(17)に適用されるガスセンサ制御装置であって、
前記起電力セルに所定の定電流を供給する定電流供給手段(43)と、
前記起電力セルの抵抗値を算出する抵抗値算出手段(41)と、
前記起電力セルの起電力出力と所定の判定値との比較に基づいて、空燃比がリッチ、リーン、ストイキの少なくともいずれであるかを判定する空燃比判定手段(41)と、
前記抵抗値算出手段により算出した前記起電力セルの抵抗値に基づいて、前記定電流供給手段により供給される定電流を制御する電流制御手段(41)と、
を備え、
前記電流制御手段は、前記抵抗値算出手段により算出した前記起電力セルの抵抗値に基づいて、現時点で供給されている前記定電流に対する電流補正値を算出する手段と、その電流補正値により前記現時点の定電流を補正する手段と有することを特徴とするガスセンサ制御装置。 - 固体電解質体(32)と該固体電解質体を挟む位置に設けられる一対の電極(33,34)とを用いてなる起電力セル(31)を有し、内燃機関(10)の排気を検出対象として該排気の空燃比に応じた起電力の信号を出力するガスセンサ(17)に適用されるガスセンサ制御装置であって、
前記起電力セルに所定の定電流を供給する定電流供給手段(43)と、
前記起電力セルの抵抗値を算出する抵抗値算出手段(41)と、
前記起電力セルの起電力出力と所定の判定値との比較に基づいて、空燃比がリッチ、リーン、ストイキの少なくともいずれであるかを判定する空燃比判定手段(41)と、
前記抵抗値算出手段により算出した前記起電力セルの抵抗値に基づいて、前記定電流供給手段により供給される定電流を制御する電流制御手段(41)と、
前記定電流供給手段により供給される前記定電流を可変に設定する定電流設定手段(41)と、
を備え、
前記電流制御手段は、前記抵抗値算出手段により算出した前記起電力セルの抵抗値と、前記定電流設定手段により設定されている現時点の前記定電流との関係に基づいて、前記現時点の定電流に対する電流補正値を算出する手段と、その電流補正値により前記現時点の定電流を補正する手段と有することを特徴とするガスセンサ制御装置。 - 前記起電力セルは、ストイキ近傍の領域において前記起電力出力が急変する急変部分と、それよりもリッチ側、リーン側であって前記起電力出力が略一定となる安定部分とからなる出力特性を有し、
前記電流制御手段は、前記所定の判定値が、前記出力特性の急変部分に含まれるままとなるようにして前記定電流を制御する請求項1又は2に記載のガスセンサ制御装置。 - 前記内燃機関の冷間始動時又は燃料カット時であることを判定する手段を備え、
前記電流制御手段は、冷間始動時又は燃料カット時であると判定される場合に、前記定電流の制御を実施する請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載のガスセンサ制御装置。 - 前記起電力セルを加熱するヒータ(36)を備える前記ガスセンサに適用され、
前記定電流供給手段により前記定電流が供給されている状態下で、前記抵抗値算出手段により算出した前記起電力セルの抵抗値を目標抵抗値に一致させるようにして前記ヒータの駆動を制御するヒータ制御手段(41)を備え、
前記電流制御手段は、前記ヒータ制御手段によるヒータ制御時において前記起電力セルの抵抗値が前記目標抵抗値に対して所定量以上かい離した場合に、前記定電流を変更する請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載のガスセンサ制御装置。
