Description
ニルマレイミド、N−シクロヘキシルマレイミド、N−メチルマレイミド等のマレイミド系単量体;アリル(メタ)アクリレート、ジビニルベンゼン、1,3−ブチレンジメタクリレート等の架橋剤を挙げることができる。これらのうち、好ましくはメタクリレート、アクリレート、シアン化ビニル単量体であり、重合体(A)の熱分解を抑制するという観点からより好ましくはアクリレートである。これらの単量体は1種又は2種以上を組み合わせて用いることができる。
また、機能を阻害しない範囲において、必要に応じて他の樹脂、添加剤等を含有してもよい。
を粉体状態で混合する方法や、これらを加熱溶融して混練する方法によることができる。上記混合には、例えば、ヘンシェルミキサー、バンバリーミキサー、単軸スクリュー押出機、二軸スクリュー押出機、2本ロール、ニーダー、ブラベンダーを使用することができる。
重合体をテトラヒドロフラン(THF)に溶解し、ゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフィーを用いて測定を行った。なお、本発明におけるMw、Mn、Mw/Mnは、標準ポリスチレンによる検量線を基に算出した。

サンプル注入量:10μl

[ロックウェル硬度]
厚さ3mmの平板試験片を作製し、試験片を2枚重ねて、JIS K7202−2に準じてMスケールで測定を行った。
厚さ3mmの平板試験片を作製し、試験片表面にすり傷が観察されない鉛筆硬度をJIS K5600−5−4に準じて測定を行った。
厚さ6.4mmの試験片に切り欠き(ノッチ)を付け、ノッチ付きアイゾッド衝撃試験片を作製し、ASTM D256に準拠してアイゾット衝撃試験を行った。
ヘーズメーターHR−100(村上色彩技術研究所(株)製)を用い、厚さ3mmの平板試験片についてJIS K7105に準じてヘーズの測定を行った。
[実施例1]表面硬度向上剤(1)の製造
温度計、窒素導入管、還流冷却管、及び攪拌装置を備えた加温可能な反応容器中に下記成分を仕込み、反応容器内を窒素で置換し、80℃に昇温した。
分散剤 0.3部
硫酸ナトリウム 0.5部
2,2’−アゾビスイソブチロニトリル 0.3部
フェニルメタクリレート 33部
メチルメタクリレート 66部
メチルアクリレート 1部
n−オクチルメルカプタン 2.5部
4時間攪拌を続け、得られたビーズ状の重合体を水洗、乾燥し、重合体(A−1)を得た。得られた重合体(A−1)のMw、Mn、Mw/Mnを表1に示す。この重合体(A−1)を表面硬度向上剤(1)とした。
実施例2〜3及び比較例1〜5について、表1に示す組成に変更した他は、実施例1と同様に製造した。
[実施例4〜9、比較例6〜12]成形体の製造
実施例1〜3及び比較例1〜5により得られた表面硬度向上剤とポリカーボネート系樹脂としてユーピロンS−2000F(三菱エンジニアリングプラスチックス(株)製、粘度平均分子量:24,000)とを、表2に示す組成で混合し、二軸押出機(機種名「PCM−30」、池貝製作所(株)製)に供給し、280℃で溶融混練し、熱可塑性樹脂組成物のペレットを得た。このペレットを射出成形機(機種名「SE−100DU」、住友重機工業(株)製)に供給し、射出温度280℃、金型温度90℃の射出成形により、熱可塑性樹脂組成物の成形体を得た。
実施例4〜9で明らかなように、本発明の成形体は、鉛筆硬度に優れると共に、透明性が高い。比較例6及び7の成形体は、芳香族(メタ)アクリレート単位(a1)を含有しない重合体を用いているため、透明性が低い。比較例8の成形体は、本発明の範囲より高い分子量で、かつ、芳香族(メタ)アクリレート単位(a1)を含有しない重合体を用いているため、ロックウェル硬度、鉛筆硬度、透明性が低い。比較例9の成形体は、メチルメタクリレート単位(a2)を含有しないため、透明性は損なわないものの鉛筆硬度が低い。比較例10の成形体は、本発明の範囲より低い分子量の重合体を用いているため、鉛筆硬度が低い。比較例11の成形体は、本発明の範囲より高い分子量のものを用いているため、鉛筆硬度が低い。比較例12の成形体は、表面硬度向上剤を含有しないポリカーボネート系樹脂単体であり、ロックウェル硬度、鉛筆硬度が低い。
Claims (1)
- ポリカーボネート系樹脂からの成形体製造用の表面硬度向上剤であって、
フェニルメタクリレート単位(a1)5〜79.9質量%、メチルメタクリレート単位(a2)20〜94.9質量%、及びメチルアクリレート単位(a3)0.1〜10質量%を含有し、質量平均分子量が5,000〜30,000であるとともに、前記(a1)〜(a3)の合計が100質量%である重合体(A)からなる、表面硬度向上剤。
