Claims (2)
- 所定の方向に沿って配置された複数の走査線と、
前記走査線と直交する方向に沿って配置された複数の信号線と、
前記走査線と前記信号線とで囲まれる領域にそれぞれ形成される第1副画素および第2副画素を有する画素と、
前記走査線と前記信号線とに接続されて前記第1副画素および前記第2副画素をそれぞれ駆動する第1スイッチング素子および第2スイッチング素子を有する複数のスイッチング素子と、を具備する表示素子であって、
前記第2副画素の大きさは、前記第1副画素の大きさよりも大きく、
前記第1スイッチング素子は、前記第1副画素に形成され、
前記第2スイッチング素子は、前記第2副画素に形成され、
前記第1スイッチング素子および前記第2スイッチング素子は、半導体層、この半導体層と交差するゲート電極、前記半導体層に接続されているソース電極およびドレイン電極を有しており、
前記第1スイッチング素子の前記半導体層は、U字形状に形成され、
前記第2スイッチング素子の前記半導体層は、L字形状に形成され、
前記第1副画素の開口率は、前記第2副画素の開口率よりも小さい
ことを特徴とする表示素子。 - 前記第1スイッチング素子の前記半導体層は、前記信号線に沿った方向に、前記第1副画素に隣接する他の副画素と重なっており、
前記第2スイッチング素子の前記半導体層は、前記信号線に沿った方向に、前記第2副画素に隣接する他の副画素と重なっていない
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の表示素子。
