Description
本出願は、本明細書と同日付で出願された「MULTIPLE PURPOSE OPTICAL CONNECTING ELEMENT」(代理人整理番号第66713US002号)に関するものであり、この出願は参照によって本明細書に組み込まれる。
本発明は、光ファイバーリボンなど光導波路セットの接続に使用される光コネクターに関する。
アイテム1は、複数の導波路アライメント機構を備える第1の主面、及び互いに対して千鳥状の複数のマイクロレンズを備える、反対側の第2の主面、を備える光透過性基板と、第1の主面に隣接して配設された傾斜劈開端面を備える複数の光導波路と、を備える、光学構造物であって、傾斜劈開端面は互いに対して千鳥状であり、複数の光導波路のうちの光導波路の傾斜劈開端面のそれぞれが、異なるマイクロレンズに対応すると共に、傾斜劈開端面によって、各光導波路から出射する光が基板を透過して対応するマイクロレンズへと方向付けられるように配向されている、光学構造物である。
Claims (6)
- 複数の導波路アライメント機構を備える第1の主面、及び、
互いに対して千鳥状の複数のマイクロレンズを備える、反対側の第2の主面、を備える光透過性基板と、
前記第1の主面に隣接して配設された傾斜劈開端面を備える複数の光導波路と、
を備える、光学構造物であって、
前記傾斜劈開端面が互いに対して千鳥状であり、前記複数の光導波路のうちの各光導波路の前記傾斜劈開端面が、異なるマイクロレンズに対応すると共に、前記傾斜劈開端面によって、各光導波路から出射する光が前記基板を透過して前記対応するマイクロレンズへと方向付けられるように配向されており、各光導波路から出射する中心光線が、前記傾斜劈開端面によって前記対応するマイクロレンズの光心へと方向付けられる、光学構造物。 - 前記千鳥状のマイクロレンズが離間した第1のマイクロレンズ列及び第2のマイクロレンズ列を形成し、前記千鳥状の傾斜劈開端面が離間した第1の傾斜劈開端面列及び第2の傾斜劈開端面列を形成する、請求項1に記載の光学構造物。
- 第1の複数の導波路アライメント機構を備える第1の光透過性基板の第1の主面と、
前記第1の主面に隣接して配設された、互いに対して千鳥状である傾斜劈開端面を備える第1の複数の光導波路と、
前記第1の光透過性基板に対向する第2の光透過性基板の第2の主面であって、前記第1の主面と反対側にあり、第2の複数の導波路アライメント機構を備える第2の主面と、
前記第2の主面に隣接して配設された、互いに対して千鳥状である傾斜劈開端面を備える第2の複数の光導波路と、を備える、光学構造物であって、
前記第1の複数の光導波路の各光導波路が、前記第2の複数の光導波路の異なる光導波路に対応し、前記対応する光導波路の傾斜劈開面が、ある光導波路から出射する光が対応する前記光導波路に入射するように配向される、光学構造物。 - 対応する光導波路が、前記対応する光導波路の前記傾斜劈開端面間で光を方向付けるために、1つ以上の対応するマイクロレンズに関連付けられる、請求項3に記載の光学構造物。
- 第1の床面を備える第1の主面、
前記第1の床面に形成され、第1の踏面を備える少なくとも第1の段を備える第1の階段、
前記第1の主面の反対側にあり、第2の床面を備える第2の主面、
前記第2の床面に形成され、第2の踏面を備える少なくとも第1の段を備える第2の階段、
前記第2の床面に配設され、マイクロレンズ列を形成する第1の複数の千鳥状のマイクロレンズ、及び、
前記第2の階段の前記第2の踏面に配設され、マイクロレンズ列を形成する第2の複数の千鳥状のマイクロレンズを備える光透過性基板であって、前記基板、前記第1の階段、前記第2の階段、及び前記マイクロレンズが単一構造物を形成する、光透過性基板と、
前記第1の床面に配設された、互いに対して千鳥状である傾斜劈開端面を備える第1の複数の光導波路と、
前記第1の階段の前記第1の踏面に配設された、互いに対して千鳥状である傾斜劈開端面を備える第2の複数の光導波路と、を備える、光学構造物であって、
前記第1及び第2の複数の光導波路のうちの光導波路の傾斜劈開端面のそれぞれが、前記傾斜劈開端面によって、各光導波路から出射する光が前記基板を透過して対応するマイクロレンズへと方向付けられるように、異なるマイクロレンズに対応する、光学構造物。 - 前記光導波路の傾斜劈開端面のそれぞれと対応する前記マイクロレンズとの離隔距離が一定である、請求項5に記載の光学構造物。
