Description
青色励起光を生成するための光源と、
前記青色励起光の光路内に配置された1以上の区画を有する基板であって、前記1以上の区画は青色区画である基板と、
前記青色区画を覆う波長変換材料層とを具え、当該波長変換材料層は、前記青色励起光の一部を吸収して、色座標が所定の色の範囲内である変換光を発し、これにより前記変換光と前記波長変換材料層に吸収されなかった残りの青色励起光とによって前記青色区画から発せられる混合光が形成され、当該混合光の色座標は前記青色励起光の色座標よりも予め規定された青色光の色に近くなることを特徴とする。

Claims (14)
- 照明装置であって、
青色励起光を生成する光源と、
前記青色励起光の光路内に配置される1以上の区画を有する基板であって、前記1以上の区画の少なくとも1つが青色区画である基板と、
前記青色区画を覆う波長変換材料層とを具え、当該波長変換材料層は前記青色励起光の一部を吸収して色座標が所定の色領域である変換光を放出し、これにより前記変換光と、前記波長変換材料層に吸収されなかった残りの青色励起光とにより前記青色区画から放出される混合光が構成され、前記混合光の色座標は、前記青色励起光の色座標よりも所定の青色光の色座標に近く、
さらに、前記波長変換材料層の前記青色励起光に面する側に配置され、前記青色励起光を通して前記変換光を反射する第2の光フィルタを具え、前記第2の光フィルタは、前記励起光を通して前記変換光を反射する前記基板の面の干渉コーティングであり、前記干渉コーティングを有する基板の面は前記波長変換材料層に近いことを特徴とする照明装置。 - 請求項1の照明装置において、前記青色励起光は青色レーザ光であり、当該青色レーザ光のスペクトルのピーク波長は430ナノメートル(nm)以上であって465nm以下であることを特徴とする照明装置。
- 請求項1の照明装置において、前記波長変換材料層は、緑色螢光体、藍色螢光体、黄緑色螢光体、黄色螢光体、あるいはこれらの螢光体の種類の複数の混合体であることを特徴とする照明装置。
- 請求項1の照明装置において、前記所定の青色光の色座標は、四角い領域内に配置され、当該四角い領域の4つの頂点はそれぞれ(0.14,0.03)、(0.18,0.03)、(0.14,0.08)、および(0.18,0.08)であることを特徴とする照明装置。
- 請求項4の照明装置において、前記所定の青色光の色座標はある線分上に配置され、当該線分の2つの端点の色座標はそれぞれ(0.155,0.06)と(0.165,0.06)であることを特徴とする照明装置。
- 請求項1の照明装置において、前記所定の色領域は:
前記青色励起光の色座標と色座標(0.14,0.03)をつないで形成される線およびその延長線、色座標(0.14,0.03)と色座標(0.18,0.03)間の線分、前記青色励起光の色座標と色座標(0.18,0.03)をつないで形成される線およびその延長線、および国際照明委員会(International Commission on Illumination)のCIE1931色空間の境界曲線、で画定される第1の色領域であることを特徴とする照明装置。 - 請求項1の照明装置において、前記所定の色領域は:
前記青色励起光の色座標と色座標(0.14,0.08)をつないで形成される線およびその延長線、色座標(0.14,0.08)と色座標(0.18,0.08)間の線分、前記青色励起光の色座標と色座標(0.18,0.08)をつないで形成される線およびその延長線、およびCIE1931色空間の境界曲線、で画定される第2の色領域であることを特徴とする照明装置。 - 請求項1の照明装置において、前記所定の色領域は:
前記青色励起光の色座標と色座標(0.155,0.06)をつないで形成される線およびその延長線、色座標(0.155,0.06)と色座標(0.165,0.06)間の線分、前記青色励起光の色座標と色座標(0.165,0.06)をつないで形成される線およびその延長線、およびCIE1931色空間の境界曲線、で画定される第3の色領域であることを特徴とする照明装置。 - 請求項1の照明装置において、前記波長変換材料層は拡散材料を含むことを特徴とする照明装置。
- 請求項1の照明装置において、さらに、前記混合光の出力光路内に配置され、前記変換光を濾過して当該変換光の色座標が所定の青色座標に近いか同じとするのに用いられる第1の光フィルタを具えることを特徴とする照明装置。
- 請求項1乃至10のいずれか一項に照明装置において、さらに駆動装置を具え、前記波長変換材料層と前記基板がそれぞれ前記駆動装置に固定的に連結され、前記駆動装置は前記基板と前記波長変換材料層とを前記青色励起光に対して動かすことを特徴とする照明装置。
- 請求項10の照明装置において、さらに駆動装置を具え、前記波長変換材料層と前記基板がそれぞれ前記駆動装置に固定的に連結され、前記駆動装置は前記基板と前記波長変換材料層とを前記青色励起光に対して動かし、前記第1の光フィルタが前記駆動装置に固定的に連結されており、前記波長変換材料層と同期して動くことを特徴とする照明装置。
- 請求項1乃至10の照明装置において、さらに駆動装置を具え、前記波長変換材料層と前記基板がそれぞれ前記駆動装置に固定的に連結され、前記駆動装置は前記基板と前記波長変換材料層とを前記青色励起光に対して動かし、前記第2の光フィルタが前記駆動装置に固定的に連結されており、前記波長変換材料層と同期して動くことを特徴とする照明装置。
- 請求項1乃至13のいずれかの照明装置を含むことを特徴とする投影装置。
