本出願は、2010年10月7日出願の米国仮出願第61/390,809号及び2010年11月18日出願の米国仮出願第61/415,183号に優先権を請求するものであり、いずれも参照により本出願に引用したものとする。

Claims (15)
- 標的検体と反応した粒子に強く及び/又は特異的に結合するように構成される生物学的及び/又は化学的分子を含む被覆を含む表面;
前記表面を照らすように構成される光源;
標的検体と反応した後、強く及び/又は特異的に前記表面に結合され、前記光源から光センサへの光強度を増減させる、前記粒子;
前記表面の下部に位置し、前記表面に特異的に結合され、前記光センサのそれぞれの上に固定された一つの前記粒子による光強度の増減を検出するように構成される複数の前記光センサ;及び、
前記表面に強く及び/又は特異的に結合していない粒子を光検知領域から取り除く手段;を含み、
前記粒子は磁気ビーズを備える、水性試料において標的検体を検出するための装置。
- 前記粒子が磁性粒子を含む、請求項1の装置。
- 集積回路をさらに含み、前記表面は前記集積回路の表面であり、前記光センサは前記集積回路に埋め込まれている、請求項2の装置。
- 各々の光センサが一つの粒子を検出するように構成される、請求項3の装置。
- 光モジュールをさらに含み、前記光モジュールが反射器、レンズ、光ファイバ、及び、前記表面へ光線を導くように構成されるライトパイプの少なくとも一つを含む、請求項3の装置。
- 前記表面より上に配置され、前記表面に光線を伝達するために構成され、透過性である毛細管をさらに含む、請求項3の装置。
- 前記表面上に、光を透過する金属の薄層をさらに含む、請求項3の装置。
- 少なくとも一つの光センサが、接近して前記表面上に落ちようとしている粒子を検出するために短い間隔で光強度をサンプリングするように構成される、請求項3の装置。
- 前記光センサがCMOSフォトダイオードを含む、請求項3の装置。
- 前記集積回路に埋め込まれた磁性分離場発生器をさらに含み、前記磁性分離場発生器が非特異的に結合された磁性粒子を光検知領域から取り除くために磁選力を作成するように構成される、請求項3の装置。
- 前記集積回路に埋め込まれた選鉱導体をさらに含み、前記選鉱導体が前記選鉱導体を通過している電流によって磁気凝集力を生成するように構成され、前記磁性粒子は前記磁気凝集力によって前記光検知領域に引きつけられる、請求項3の装置。
- 前記光センサが前記粒子より小さい、請求項3の装置。
- 遮光体をさらに含み、前記遮光体が前記光センサの少なくとも一つの光線受入の角度が減少するように前記光センサの少なくとも一つを囲む、請求項3の装置。
- バイア穴をさらに含み、前記バイア穴が、前記光センサで迷光が光るのを減少させるように構成される請求項3の装置。
- 前記光センサが前記粒子の一つより大きく、前記遮光体内の前記開口は前記粒子の一つより小さいため、前記開口が前記粒子の一つによって完全に被覆される請求項13の装置。
