Claims (6)
- スイッチング素子のPWM信号によるスイッチング動作で直流電源の電圧を変換して直流電力を出力するDC−DC変換回路と、前記直流電力を前記DC−DC変換回路のスイッチング周波数に比べて低周波の交番電力に変換するインバータ回路と、を備え、前記インバータ回路の交番電力により放電灯を点灯させる放電灯点灯装置であって、
前記DC−DC変換回路の出力電圧を検出する電圧検出部と、
前記DC−DC変換回路の出力電流を検出する電流検出部と、
前記電圧検出部又は電流検出部の検出値に応じて前記DC−DC変換回路のスイッチング周波数を制御する制御部と、
前記交番電力の極性が反転する直前のスイッチング条件において、前記極性の反転開始から所定の期間、前記PWM信号のオン幅を拡大して前記直流電力を増大させるPWMオン信号制御回路と、を備え、
前記制御部は、前記交番電力の極性が反転する直前から投入される直流電力を増大させる増大量に上限値及び下限値となる電圧値を設定し、前記電圧検出部が検出した電圧値に応じて、前記交番電力の極性が反転する直前から投入される直流電力の増大量を前記上限値及び下限値の範囲で段階的に変化させ、前記上限値が設定された電圧値以上の電圧においては、前記増大量を前記上限値に維持し、前記下限値が設定された電圧値以下の電圧においては、前記増大量を前記下限値に維持することを特徴とする放電灯点灯装置。 - 前記交番電力は、前記PWMオン信号制御回路によりオン幅が拡大するよう制御された直後の前記スイッチング素子のスイッチタイミングに同期して、極性が反転することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の放電灯点灯装置。
- 前記制御部は、放電灯の点灯時間に応じて、前記インバータ回路の交番電力を段階的に変化させることを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載の放電灯点灯装置。
- 前記DC−DC変換回路の入力電圧値を検知する入力電圧検知部を更に備え、
前記制御部は、前記入力電圧検知部が所定の電圧値を検出したときに、その検出値に応じて、前記直流電力の増大量を変化させることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか一項に記載の放電灯点灯装置。 - 請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか一項に記載の放電灯点灯装置を備えた灯具。
- 請求項5に記載の灯具を搭載した車両。
