Description
ィルタケースの内周壁21の気体の流速が速い部分では,前記フィルタケースの内周壁21に付着した燃料残渣等の液体が排出口24に向かって気体と共に排出されエンジンシステムの不具合の原因となる。
に中空フィルタと排出口の間に所定の長さの空間を設けることで、流速を低下させ流速分布ばらつきの影響を少なくする等の方法が知られている。
間距離を長くする方法の場合は、流速分布のばらつきの低減については一定の効果があると考えられるが、フィルタケースの大型化が避けられず、これに伴い、実際に気体用フィルタ装置を取り付けスペースが少ない自動車のエンジンルームなどに搭載する場合において、その配置が制限されるという問題があった。
ローチを用いたコンピュータシュミレーションにより計測して調整した。

Claims (3)
- 気密に形成した筒状のフィルタケース内に、底部を開口するとともに頂部を閉塞した中空フィルタをその中心軸が前記フィルタケースの中心軸と略重なり合うように配置し、前記フィルタケースの底部に備えた流入口から流入させた気体を、前記中空フィルタの中空部へ導入して前記中空フィルタの外周と前記フィルタケースの内周壁との間に形成された空間を通して前記フィルタケースの頂部に備えられた排出口から排出するとともに中央に整流口を形成した整流板が、前記フィルタケースの内周壁における前記中空フィルタの頂部と前記排出口との間に周着している気体用フィルタ装置であって、前記フィルタケース及び中空フィルタが共に円筒形状であるとともに前記フィルタケースにおける円形の頂部開口に横方向に1つの排出口を備えた蓋体が前記排出口を周方向に自在に位置決め可能として気密に嵌着された構造であることを特徴とする気体用フィルタ装置。
- 前記整流板の整流口の開口面積が、前記フィルタケースの頂部に備えた前記排出口の最小開口面積より大きく、前記フィルタケースの内周断面積より小さいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の気体用フィルタ装置。
- 前記整流板の整流口の開口面積が、前記排出口の最小開口面積の2倍より大きく前記フィルタケースの内周断面積より小さいことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の気体用フィルタ装置。
