Claims (20)
- 第1の素材からなり、長手方向の中心線、複数の頂点及び全長を有する、三角柱のコアと、
前記コアの前記中心線と略平行に延び、かつ、前記複数の頂点の1つに隣接した、少なくとも1本のロッドと、
前記第1の素材とは異なる第2の素材からなる糸を織って作られ、前記コア及び前記少なくとも1本のロッドの周囲に配設されるカバーと、
を含んで構成されるビーム。 - 前記第2の素材は、炭素繊維を含んで構成される、請求項1に記載のビーム。
- 前記第1の素材は、発泡体を含んで構成される、請求項2に記載のビーム。
- 前記カバーと前記コアとの間に配設された接着強化物質を更に含んで構成される、請求項2に記載のビーム。
- 前記カバーは、上下交互に並ぶパターンで織って作られる、請求項1に記載のビーム。
- 前記少なくとも1本のロッドは、前記コアの略全長に亘って延びる、請求項1に記載のビーム。

- 構造を形成するために結合した複数の軽量ビームを含んで構成された軽量ビーム構造であって、
前記軽量ビームの各々は、第1の素材からなり、長手方向の中心線及び複数の頂点を有する三角柱のコアと、前記コアの前記中心線と略平行に延び、かつ、前記複数の頂点の1つに隣接した、少なくとも1本のロッドと、前記第1の素材とは異なる第2の素材からなる糸を織って作られ、前記コア及び前記少なくとも1本のロッドの周囲に配設されたカバーと、を含んで構成された軽量ビーム構造。 - 第1の素材からなり、長手方向の中心線を有する三角柱のコアを提供するステップと、
前記コアの複数の頂点の少なくとも1つに夫々隣接し、かつ、前記コアの前記中心線と略平行に延びる、少なくとも1本のロッドを提供するステップと、
前記第1の素材とは異なる第2の素材からなる糸を織って作られるカバーを、前記コアの周囲に巻き付けるステップと、
を含んで構成されるビーム形成方法。 - 前記少なくとも1本のロッドを提供するステップは、前記カバーを巻き付けるステップの前に行われる、請求項11に記載のビーム形成方法。
- 前記カバーを巻き付けるステップは、前記コアの周囲に前記カバーの第1の層を巻き付けるステップと、前記カバーの前記第1の層の少なくとも一部の周囲に前記カバーの第2の層を巻き付けるその次のステップと、を含んで構成され、
前記少なくとも1本のロッドを提供するステップは、前記カバーの第1の層を巻き付けるステップと、前記カバーの第2の層を巻き付けるステップと、の間に行われる、請求項11に記載のビーム形成方法。 - 前記カバーを巻き付ける前に、前記コアに接着強化物質を塗布するステップを更に含んで構成される、請求項11に記載のビーム形成方法。
- 前記コアの周囲に前記カバーが巻き付けられた後に、前記カバーを処理するステップを更に含んで構成される、請求項11に記載のビーム形成方法。
- 前記コアを提供するステップは、発泡体から前記コアを作り上げることを含んで構成される、請求項11に記載のビーム形成方法。
- 前記コアを作り上げることは、前記三角柱を形成するために、長手方向に前記発泡体を押し出すことを含んで構成される、請求項16に記載のビーム形成方法。
- 前記ロッドを提供するステップは、炭素から前記ロッドを作り上げることを含んで構成される、請求項11に記載のビーム形成方法。
- 前記ロッドを提供するステップは、前記コアの複数の頂点の第2の頂点に隣接し、かつ、前記コアの前記中心線と略平行に延びる、第2のロッドを提供することを含んで構成される、請求項11に記載のビーム形成方法。
- 前記ロッドを提供するステップは、前記コアの複数の頂点の第3の頂点に隣接し、かつ、前記コアの前記中心線と略平行に延びる、第3のロッドを提供することを含んで構成される、請求項19に記載のビーム形成方法。
