硝酸ニッケルと、硝酸銅と、酢酸ジルコニウムとからなり、4.48質量%(NiOとして計算した)のNiと、1.52質量%(CuOとして計算した)のCuと、2.82質量%(ZrO2として計算した)のZrとを含有する水溶液を、同時に1つの撹拌容器内で一定流において20%の炭酸ナトリウム水溶液を用いて70℃の温度で、ガラス電極で測定したpH値7.0を保持するように沈殿させる。得られた懸濁液を濾過し、そして濾過ケークを完全脱塩水で、濾液の導電率が約20μSとなるまで洗浄する。次いで、まだ湿っている濾過ケーク中に、以下に示す酸化物混合物が得られるまでヘプタモリブデン酸アンモニウムを混加する。次いで、該濾過ケークを150℃の温度で乾燥棚においてもしくは噴霧乾燥機において乾燥させる。こうして得られた水酸化物−炭酸塩−混合物を、ここで430〜460℃の温度で4時間の時間にわたり熱処理する。こうして製造された触媒前駆体は、以下の組成を有する:50質量%のNiO、17質量%のCuO、1.5質量%のMoO3及び31.5質量%のZrO2。該触媒を、3質量%のグラファイトと混合し、成形してタブレットにした。
硝酸ニッケルと、硝酸コバルトと、硝酸銅と、酢酸ジルコニウムとからなり、2.39質量%のNiOと、2.39質量%のCoOと、0.94質量%のCuOと、2.82質量%のZrO2とを含有する水溶液を、同時に1つの撹拌容器内で一定流において20%の炭酸ナトリウム水溶液を用いて70℃の温度で、ガラス電極で測定したpH値7.0を保持するように沈殿させた。得られた懸濁液を濾過し、そして濾過ケークを完全脱塩水で、濾液の導電率が約20μSとなるまで洗浄した。次いで、該濾過ケークを150℃の温度で乾燥棚においてもしくは噴霧乾燥機において乾燥させた。こうして得られた水酸化物−炭酸塩−混合物を、ここで450〜500℃の温度で4時間の時間にわたり熱処理した。こうして製造された触媒前駆体は、以下の組成を有していた:28質量%のNiO、28質量%のCoO、11質量%のCuO及び33質量%のZrO2。該触媒前駆体を、3質量%のグラファイトと混合し、成形してタブレットにした。
硝酸コバルト、硝酸マンガン及びリン酸を水に溶かすことによって、10質量%のコバルトと、0.55質量%のマンガンと、0.45質量%のH3PO4とを含有する溶液を製造した。20%の炭酸ナトリウム溶液を添加することによって、50℃の温度で沈殿させた。生じた沈殿物を、洗水中にナトリウム又は硝酸塩がもはや検出できなくなるまで洗浄した。こうして得られた固体を、水とともにかき混ぜ、噴霧塔中で噴霧する(入口温度=550℃)。噴霧物を、500℃で乾燥させ、粉砕し、押出機中で4mmの直径のストランドに成形した。そのストランドを、100〜120℃で乾燥させ、引き続き650℃で1時間、次いで850℃で3時間にわたって、か焼した。こうして製造された触媒前駆体は、90.4質量%のコバルトと、5.1質量%のマンガンと、0.3質量%のナトリウムと、3.1質量%のリンとを含有していた。
触媒前駆体(d)の製造は、EP−A−1317959号の実施例1Aに従って行ったが、塩化鉄(III)を使用しなかった。
触媒(e)としては、Engelhardt社(Engelhardt Co.Iselin、ニュージャージー)の市販されているNi−1404を使用した。この触媒は、Ni及びNiO並びにアルミニウム酸化物及びケイ素酸化物からなる。該触媒は、既にその製造元によって還元された形及び不動態化された形で提供され、粉末状で使用された。
酸化物タブレット(触媒前駆体(a)及び(b))もしくはストランド(触媒前駆体(c))もしくは粉末(触媒前駆体(d))を還元した。還元は、触媒前駆体に応じて250〜500℃の範囲で実施し、その際、加熱速度は、3℃/分であった。まず、50分間にわたりN2中10%のH2で還元させ、引き続き20分間にわたりN2中25%のH2で還元させ、次いで10分間にわたりN2中50%のH2で還元させ、次いで10分間にわたりN2中75%のH2で還元させ、そして最後に3時間にわたり100%のH2で還元させた。%の表記は、それぞれ体積%である。還元された触媒の不動態化は、室温で希釈された空気(最大で5体積%のO2含有率を有するN2中の空気)において実施した。
実施例1〜12:
マグネット結合型の撹拌機を備えた電気加熱式の160mLオートクレーブ(Hastelloy)において、3gの市販の二量体のグリコールアルデヒド(モノマーとして計算して50ミリモル)を、その都度の溶剤中に供した(20ml)。引き続き、不活性ガス雰囲気下で、第1表に示される量の活性化された触媒を、10mlのTHF中に懸濁して添加した。
実施例1〜3において、不動態化された触媒は、280℃で10時間にわたり1バールの水素分圧で還元した。
マグネット結合型の撹拌機を備えた電気加熱式の160mLオートクレーブ(Hastelloy)において、3gの市販の二量体のグリコールアルデヒド(モノマーとして計算して50ミリモル)を、20mlのTHF中に供した。500μl(0.47g)のジエチレングリコールジメチルエーテルを内部標準として添加した。引き続き、不活性ガス雰囲気下で、0.5gの触媒を、10mlのTHF中に懸濁して添加した。
その測定は、Micrometitics RS 232型のAutochem II Chemisorptionアナライザ機器で記録した。評価ソフトウェアとして、Autochem II 2920プログラムを使用した。
RG=100%−100%*[(触媒試料の測定された水素消費量(TPR測定による))/(完全酸化物触媒の理論上の水素消費量であって、試料の金属含有率と反応化学量論とに基づいて計算される量)]に従って計算された。
Claims (9)
- グリコールアルデヒドとアミノ化剤とを水素及び触媒の存在下で反応させる方法であって、前記触媒が、触媒前駆体の還元によって又は不動態化された触媒の還元によって活性化される前記方法において、
前記反応を、溶剤の存在下で行い、かつグリコールアルデヒドを前記活性化された触媒と接触させ、
前記触媒前駆体が、触媒活性成分として、元素の周期律表の第8族及び/又は第9族及び/又は第10族及び/又は第11族の金属の1種もしくは複数種の酸素含有化合物を含有するか、又は前記触媒前駆体が、コバルト、マンガン、ナトリウム及びリンを含有することを特徴とする方法。 - 触媒活性成分が、Ni、Co及び/又はCuの酸素含有化合物であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 使用される触媒が、ルテニウム、ロジウム、パラジウム、銀、レニウム、オスミウム、イリジウム、白金、金及び水銀からなる群から選択される0.4モル%未満の貴金属原子を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載方法。
- 反応を15〜350℃の温度で実施することを特徴とする、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 反応を10〜350バールの圧力で行うことを特徴とする、請求項1から4までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 溶剤がTHF又は水であることを特徴とする、請求項1から5までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 活性化された触媒が、30%以上の還元度を有することを特徴とする、請求項1から6までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 不動態化された触媒の還元によって製造された活性化された触媒が、活性化の後に、前記不動態化された触媒の還元度を少なくとも2%上回る還元度を有することを特徴とする、請求項1から7までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 活性化された触媒が、還元の間及び還元の後に、グリコールアルデヒドとの接触まで不活性条件下で取り扱われる、請求項1から8までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
