Description
Claims (11)
- ガラスリボンからガラスシートを分割し、取り外す方法において、
粘性の液体部分および弾性の固体部分を有するガラスリボンであって、前記ガラスリボンの前記弾性の固体部分がさらに、実質的に平行な第1および第2の主表面を有する中央部分および該中央部分のいずれかの側面に隣接する2つの端部を有し、各端部が、前記中央部分の前記第1および第2の主表面と合致する第1の主表面および第2の主表面を有し、前記端部の前記第1および第2の主表面が、前記リボンの長さに沿って長手方向に伸長し、前記各端部の前記第1の主表面および前記第2の主表面が非平行である、ガラスリボンをダウンドロー工程で生成する工程;
前記2つの端部の各端部の前記第1の主表面を、第1の位置において第1のレーザからのレーザビームで照射する工程であって、前記レーザビームが、前記端部の前記第1の主表面上に第1のレーザスポットを形成するパルスレーザビームであり、該パルスレーザビームが、前記端部に近接して前記ガラスリボンの厚さの少なくとも一部を通して欠陥溝を形成する、工程;
前記端部の外縁に垂直な方向に前記レーザを移動させ、前記外縁に垂直な直線に沿って前記端部に複数の別個の欠陥溝を形成するように前記第1のレーザによる照射を繰り返す工程;
罫書き線が前記欠陥溝の直線に揃うように、前記ガラスリボンの前記中央部分に罫書き線を入れる工程;および
前記罫書き線に沿って前記ガラスリボンを分割する工程、
を有する方法。 - 前記分割する工程が、第2のレーザを使用して罫書き線を形成する工程を含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記罫書き線を入れる工程が、前記中央部分を罫書き部材と接触させる工程を含むことを特徴とする請求項2記載の方法。
- 前記分割する工程が、前記ガラスリボンを曲げ、前記中央部分の前記第1の主表面に交差して前記罫書き線と交わる引張応力を形成することを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記パルスレーザビームからの光の波長が、355nmから532nmまでの範囲であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記パルスレーザビームの繰返し率が、10kHzから200kHzまでの範囲であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記パルスレーザビームのパルス時間が、25ns以下であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記第1のレーザが、Nd:YAGまたはNd:YVO4レーザであることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記第2のレーザが、CO2レーザであることを特徴とする請求項2記載の方法。
- 前記ガラスリボンが連続的に移動することを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記ダウンドロー工程が、フュージョンダウンドロー工程であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
