Description
摩擦材に亜鉛やスズ、これら金属を主成分とする合金を添加すると、広い使用領域において凝着摩擦を発生させ、摩擦係数を向上させる効果を奏するが、凝着摩擦の進行により摩擦材が摩耗しやすくなるという問題がある。
これは、アルミニウムが持つ、表面に酸化皮膜が形成されやすいという特性に起因するものと推定される。
なお、この作用効果は、アルミニウムを主成分とする合金においても認められる。
表1、表2に示す組成の摩擦材組成物をレディゲミキサーにて5分間混合し、成型金型内で30MPaにて10秒間加圧して予備成型をした。この予備成型物を、予め洗浄、表面処理、接着材を塗布した鋼鉄製のバックプレート上に重ね、熱成型型内で成型温度150℃、成型圧力40MPaの条件下で10分間成型した後、200℃で5時間熱処理(後硬化)を行い、研磨して摩擦面を形成し、乗用車用ディスクブレーキパッドを作製した(実施例1〜11、比較例1〜4)。
Claims (2)
- ディスクブレーキパッドに使用されるNAO材の摩擦材であって、繊維基材、結合材、摩擦調整材を含む摩擦材組成物を成型してなる摩擦材において、
前記摩擦材組成物は、無機摩擦調整材として、アルミニウム粒子、アルミニウム繊維、アルミニウムを主成分とする合金粒子及びアルミニウムを主成分とする合金繊維から選ばれる1種または2種以上を、摩擦材組成物全量に対し1〜10重量%含有し、
かつ、平均粒子径が1〜20μmでモース硬度が4.5以上の硬質無機粒子を摩擦材組成物全量に対し5〜20重量%含有し、
摩擦材組成物に含まれる銅成分の総量が摩擦材組成物全量に対して0.5重量%未満であることを特徴とする摩擦材。 - 前記アルミニウム粒子又はアルミニウムを主成分とする合金粒子は、平均粒子径が50〜300μmであること
を特徴とする請求項1に記載の摩擦材。
