表面構造化組成物を電子ビームに曝露して、シリコーン系材料を架橋して、表面構造化架橋済みシリコーン系材料をもたらすことと、を含む。
ナノサイズ又はマイクロサイズの表面構造のうちの少なくとも1つの主表面を有する複製成形型を準備することと、
触媒及び反応開始剤を実質的に含まないシリコーン系材料を含む組成物を、複製成形型の主表面の少なくとも一部分の上に塗布して、触媒及び反応開始剤を実質的に含まないシリコーン系材料を含む表面構造化組成物を形成することと、を更に含む。
第一主表面を有する基材を準備することと、
触媒及び反応開始剤を実質的に含まないシリコーン系材料を含む組成物を、基材の主表面の少なくとも一部分上にコーティングすることと、
コーティングされた組成物を、主表面上にナノサイズ又はマイクロサイズの表面構造のうちの少なくとも1つを有する複製成形型の主表面に接触させて、触媒及び反応開始剤を実質的に含まないシリコーン系材料を含む表面構造化組成物を形成することと、を更に含む。
触媒及び反応開始剤をその上に実質的に含まないシリコーン系材料を含む組成物をコーティングする前に、プライマーコーティング組成物を基材の主表面の少なくとも一部分上に塗布することを更に含む。
53.3重量%の脂肪族ウレタンアクリレート(Sartomer USA(Exton,PA)から商品名「CN991」で入手)、31.6重量%のポリエステルアクリレートオリゴマー(Sartomer USAから商品名「CN2303」で入手)、10重量%のテトラヒドロフリルアクリレート(Sartomer USAから商品名「SR285」で入手)、5重量%のアクリレート官能性多面体オリゴマーシルセスキオキサン(Hybrid Plastics,Inc.(Hattiesburg,MS)から商品名「ACRYLO POSS」で入手)、2重量%のヒドロキシフェニルベンゾトリアゾールUV吸収剤(Ciba Specialty Chemicals,Inc.(Tarrytown,NY)から商品名「TINUVIN 928」で入手)、2重量%のヒンダードアミン光安定剤(Ciba Specialty Chemicals,Inc.から商品名「TINUVIN 152」で入手)及び2重量%の光開始剤(BASF(Ludwigshafen,Germany)から商品名「LUCIRIN TPO−L」で入手)からなる配合物を使用して、マイクロ構造化ウレタンアクリレート成形型フィルムを作製した。このウレタンアクリレートを、35.6cm(14インチ)幅の予め下塗りしたポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)(DuPont Teijin Films(Chester,VA)から商品名「MELINEX 618」で入手)上にコーティングした。このウレタンアクリレートを、24マイクロメートルのピッチ及び90度の頂角を持つ角柱溝を有する機械加工された金属ロールと接触させながら、PETフィルムを通してUV硬化させた。得られたウレタンアクリレート構造化表面を有するPETフィルムをロールに巻き取った。使用したシリコーン流体は、18,000センチストークスの運動粘度を有するシラノール末端化ポリジメチルシロキサン(Gelest,Inc(Morrisville,PA)から商品名「DMS−S42」で入手)であった。基材フィルムは、耐溶剤シリコーンプライマー(Momentive Performance Materials,Inc.(Waterford,NY)から商品名「SS4120」で入手)の2マイクロメートルの湿潤コーティングで下塗りし、その後、71℃(160°F)〜93℃(200°F)で乾燥させた、33cm(13インチ)幅、25マイクロメートル厚さのPET(DuPont Teijin Films(Chester,VA)から商品名「MYLAR Polyester」で入手)であった。
マイクロ構造化ポリプロピレンフィルムを、押出成形複製プロセスを用いて、作製した。ポリプロピレン(Total Petrochemicals USA,Inc.(Houston,TX)から商品名「FINA 7825」で入手)をフィルム押出ダイを通して、1つのゴムロールと、50マイクロメートルピッチで54度の山部と谷部とを有する直線の角柱状溝を有する機械加工ロールと、からなるニップロールキャスティングステーションの中に押し出した。このポリプロピレン押出成形フィルムは、機械加工ロールに対して線状角柱表面フィルムを形成しながら、急冷され、これを次にロールに巻き取った。
可撓性基材上のマイクロ構造化シリコーンフィルムは、電子ビームユニット内で構造化金属成形型を使用して、作製することができる。
可撓性基材上のマイクロ構造化シリコーンフィルムは、電子ビームユニットを通過する構造化金属ベルト成形型を使用して、作製することができる。
成形型としての構造化ポリプロピレンフィルム、非官能性ポリジメチルシロキサンガム及びナノシリカ下塗り済みガラス基材を用いて、剛性ガラス基材上にマイクロ構造化シリコーン表面を形成した。
マイクロ構造化シリコーン感圧性接着剤(PSA)フィルムは、マイクロ構造化剥離ライナー及び、MQ粘着付与樹脂と下塗り済み裏材フィルムとを含有するシリコーン配合物を用いることにより、作製することができる。
例えば、実施例1〜4に従う方法のいずれかは、構造化PSAを製造するための剥離ライナーとして使用できるマイクロ構造化シリコーンフィルムを作製するために使用することができる。
実施例1〜7のいずれか、表面構造化架橋済みシリコーンの形成後、表面構造化架橋済みシリコーンに少なくとも20メガラド(より好ましくは少なくとも30メガラド)で低電圧電子ビーム(100〜150kv)を照射して、表面構造化架橋済みシリコーンの表面にてより高い架橋密度を生じさせることができる。
実施例8に記載のような表面構造化架橋済みシリコーンをUVミラー上にコーティングし、次に、光起電モジュールに適用する。
電子ビーム硬化済みシリコーンを含む「ガラス上シリコーン」フレネルレンズを作製した。
「光硬化済みシリコーン結合層」を含む別の「ガラス上シリコーン」フレネルレンズを作製した。
Claims (5)
- 表面構造化架橋済みシリコーン系材料を作製する方法であって、前記方法は、
シリコーン感圧接着剤を含む表面構造化シリコーン系材料を準備する工程であって、前記表面構造化シリコーン系材料が触媒及び反応開始剤を実質的に含まない、準備する工程と、
前記表面構造化シリコーン系材料を電子ビームに曝露して、前記シリコーン系材料を架橋して、前記表面構造化架橋済みシリコーン系材料をもたらすことと、を含み、前記架橋が前記表面構造化シリコーン系材料上に非粘着性表面を提供することを含む、方法。 - 前記シリコーン系材料が非官能化シリコーンである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記シリコーン系材料がシロキサン主鎖及び少なくとも1つの官能基を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 主表面を有する基材を含む物品であって、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法に従って調製された表面構造化シリコーン系材料が前記主表面の少なくとも一部分上にある物品。
- 剥離ライナーを作製する方法であって、前記方法は、
基材上にシリコーン系材料を含む表面構造化組成物を準備する工程であって、前記組成物が触媒及び反応開始剤を実質的に含まない、準備する工程と、
前記表面構造化組成物を電子ビームに曝露して、前記シリコーン系材料を架橋して、前記表面構造化架橋済みシリコーン系材料を含む剥離ライナーをもたらすことと、を含み、前記架橋が前記表面構造化シリコーン系材料上に非粘着性表面を提供することを含む、方法。
