Claims (4)
- 発電要素の端部から電極の基材となる金属箔が重なり合って金属箔群として突出し、一部が端子に接続された集電接続体の他部がこの金属箔群に接続された電池において、
前記発電要素が、正極と負極の基材となる金属箔がそれぞれ異なる端部から重なり合って金属箔群として突出したものであり、前記集電接続体が、この発電要素を収納する電池容器の開口部を塞ぐ蓋板に取り付けられた正極端子と負極端子に一部が接続された正極用と負極用のものであり、
前記正極用と負極用の集電接続体のそれぞれは、前記蓋板に水平に配置された端子接続部と、前記端子接続部から折り曲げられて前記金属箔群の各金属箔の突出端に当接乃至近接する第1の板部と、この第1の板部から発電要素側に向けて突出し、かつ、金属箔群の一方の外側側部にのみ配置された第2の板部とを備え、この第2の板部に金属箔群が接合されたことを特徴とする電池。 - 前記集電接続体の第2の板部が、前記金属箔群の一方の外側側部における、この側部に沿った方向の中央部にのみ設けられたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電池。
- 前記集電接続体の第2の板部が、前記金属箔群の一方の外側側部であって、この金属箔群における一方側の金属箔を重なりの中央側に押し集めることにより、これらの金属箔の重なりの中央側に寄せた位置に配置されたことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の電池。
- 蓋板に正極用と負極用の集電接続体の一部をそれぞれ取り付けて組蓋を作製し、
前記組蓋の正極用と負極用の集電接続体の他部にそれぞれ設けた第1の板部の間に、正極と負極の基材となる金属箔がそれぞれ異なる端部から重なり合って金属箔群として突出した発電要素を挿入配置し、これらの第1の板部に当該金属箔群の各金属箔の突出端をそれぞれ当接乃至近接させると共に、これらの第1の板部から発電要素側に向けて突出する第2の板部を当該金属箔群の一方の外側側部にのみそれぞれ配置し、
前記正極用と負極用の集電接続体の第2の板部に当該金属箔群をそれぞれ接合し、
前記発電要素を組蓋の正極用と負極用の集電接続体と共に電池容器に収納すると共に、この電池容器の開口部を組蓋の蓋板で塞ぐことを特徴とする電池の製造方法。
