図2及び図3に示すように、カセット組立体26と、カセット組立体26に対して相互接続された、いくつかの管/採取組立体28、30、32、34、36、40とを備える、あらかじめ接続された体外管路10が示される。好適には、脱血/返血管組立体28は、供血者と、体外管路10の残りの部分との間のシングルニードル接続を提供する(ただし、図示しないが、2針構成も用いられ得る)。少なくとも2本のライン42及び44が、供血者から血液を取り出すために、及び供血者に血液成分を返還するために、組立体28に設けられる(図3を参照)。この実施形態はカセット組立体26を備える。カセット組立体26は、供血者が接続される管組立体28と、カセット組立体26と血液処理容器12とのインターフェースを構成する血液流入/血液成分流出管ラインサブ組立体32との間で相互接続される。図2及び図3において、血液及び成分の処理容器12に対する移動のための4本のライン46、48、50、52が示される。この実施形態においては、抗凝血管組立体30、血漿採取管・バッグ組立体36、PAS溶液バッグ38、ベントバッグ管ラインサブ組立体34、及び血小板組立体40も、カセット組立体26によって相互接続される。理解されるように、体外管路10及び血液処理容器12は、好適には、一回使い切り用の、密封され、あらかじめ消毒された、使い捨て組立体を構成するように、あらかじめ相互接続される。
アフェレーシス手順のプライミング及び他の様々な動作は、好適には、上記で列挙した特許に記載されるように実行される。脱血において、全血は、供血者から、脱血/返血管組立体28の管ライン44へと通され、次いで、血液成分分離装置6に輸送される。血液成分分離装置6において、血液は、好適にはループ88(図3を参照)を介してポンピングされ、カセット組立体26と血液流入/血液成分管組立体32のライン46(図2及び図3を参照)とを介して、処理容器12へ流れる。次いで、分離処理は、血液処理容器12において実質的に連続的に行われる。すなわち、血液処理容器12において流れる血液は分離され、分離成分として血液処理容器12から流出する。血液処理容器12における分離処理(分離は連続的に生じるものであるが)の後、未採取の血液成分は、血液処理容器12から、カセット組立体26へと輸送され、カセット組立体26を通って、カセット26の返血貯血槽58(図2及び図3を参照)へと輸送され、所定レベルに達するまで返血貯血槽58内に蓄積される。この所定レベルにおいては、血液成分分離装置6は、シングルニードル動作の場合(ただし、連続システムにおいてはその必要はないが)、脱血サブモードを停止し、これらの未採取及び/又は処理された成分が供血者に返還され得る返血サブモードを開始する。そのために、これらの蓄積された成分は、脱血/返血管組立体28の返血管ライン44へと輸送され、供血者へと戻される。シングルニードル返血モードにおいては、返血貯血槽58における蓄積された返血成分が、所定レベルに低下するまで取り出されると、血液成分分離装置6は返血サブモードを自動的に停止する。これにより、好適には、脱血サブモードが再開又は継続されるように自動的に機能する。次いで、脱血サブモード及び返血サブモードのサイクルは、所定量の採取された血液成分が採取されるまで、継続される。デュアルニードル方式においては、当該技術分野において既知であるように、血液は連続的に供血者から取り出され、血液成分は連続的に供血者に返還される。例えばポンプの制御を含む係る動作に対する詳細な機構については、本明細書において詳細に図示又は説明しない。
上述のアフェレーシスシステム2を利用して供血者に対してアフェレーシス手順を実施する際に従うべき1つの好適な手続について、ここでまとめる。最初に、オペレータは、使い捨てプラスチック組立体8を、血液成分分離装置6において、及び/又は、血液成分分離装置6上に、装填する。本手続によれば、オペレータは様々なバッグを、血液成分分離装置6上のフックに吊す。1つが用いられる場合、オペレータは、カセット組立体26を、血液成分分離装置6上に装填し、及び/又は血液処理容器12を、血液成分分離装置6の遠心分離ロータ組立体20に取り付けられる導管ハウジング18内に装填する。

前記遠心分離血液処理装置のロータに嵌合するように構成され、血液流入口(46)と複数の血液成分流出口(48、50、52)を有する血液処理容器(12)と、
前記血液処理容器の前記複数の血液成分流出口の1つに接続され、前記血液処理容器から少なくとも血漿を取り出すための血漿チューブと、
流入口及び流出口を有し、前記流入口にて前記血漿チューブに流体連通し、前記流出口にて流出チューブ(50)に流体連通し、前記流出チューブの少なくとも一部が前記ロータから延在するように構成された、円錐台状の分離チャンバ(132)と、
前記ロータに取り付けるように構成され、流入口及び流出口(52)を有する円錐台状の濃縮チャンバ(134)と、

- 請求項2記載の血液処理セットにおいて、前記濃縮チャンバ(134)から少なくとも1つの血液成分用の前記採取バッグ(40)へと血液成分を流出させると同時に前記分離チャンバ(132)からの流体の流出を制止するための手段をさらに備えることを特徴とする血液処理セット。
- 遠心分離ロータ組立体(20)と、
請求項1から請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の血液処理セットと、
を備える血液処理装置。 - 請求項4記載の血液処理装置において、前記血液処理装置は、前記血液処理容器(12)を受容する導管ハウジング(18)をさらに備えることを特徴とする血液処理装置。
