Description
Claims (14)
- 海底での深海採鉱の方法であって、
海底採鉱機によって海底から固形物を採鉱するステップと、
海底採鉱機からジャンパーを通して固形物を圧送するステップと、
ジャンパーからライザを通して海上船舶まで固形物を圧送するステップと、
海底採鉱機と少なくとも1つの海底ポンプモジュールとの間の距離を監視するステップと、
海底ポンプモジュールから海底採鉱機への力を最小化するために許容範囲内に、海底採鉱機と少なくとも1つの海底ポンプモジュールとの間の距離を調整するステップとを含み、
ライザの上に抱き合わされた1つまたは複数の注水ラインに多量の廃水を圧送するステップをさらに含む方法。 - 固形物が、海底塊状硫化物鉱床を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 固形物を脱水するステップをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 海底の近くの固形物を圧送するのに使用される多量の廃水を排出するステップをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 圧送するステップが、少なくとも1つの海底ポンプによって行われる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- ジャンパーが、「S」字状である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- ダンプバルブアセンブリをポンプモジュールに連結するステップをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。

海底採鉱機から遠方に実質的に水平なジャンパーに連結されるポンプモジュールと、
ポンプモジュールに連結されるライザシステムと、
ポンプモジュールから遠方にライザシステムに連結される海上船舶とを備える、海底での深海採鉱システムであって、
固形物が、海底から採鉱され、海上船舶まで圧送され、
海上船舶が、海底採鉱機とポンプモジュールとの間の距離を監視するコンピュータを備え、海上船舶が、海底ポンプモジュールから海底採鉱機への力を最小化するために許容範囲内に、海底採鉱機とポンプモジュールとの間の距離を調整するように適応され、
大量の廃水がそれを通して流れることができるように適応される1つまたは複数の注水ラインをさらに備え、1つまたは複数の注水ラインが、ライザシステムに抱き合わされるシステム。 - 固形物が、海底塊状硫化物鉱床を含む、請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 脱水された固形物からの廃水を圧送するためのポンプをさらに備える、請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 大量の廃水が、海底の近くに排水される、請求項9に記載のシステム。
