Description
The present invention relates to a polymerizable compound for ink jet printing ink and an ink composition which form an ink cured product by irradiation with actinic rays.
So-called UV printing, in which an ink cured product is formed by irradiation with actinic rays, is expanding the application range of coating agents, paints, printing inks and the like from the viewpoint of workability (fast curing).
In general, a photocurable ink comprises a photopolymerization initiator, a polymerizable compound (monomer, oligomer or polymer), and a colorant and an additive depending on the application. Colorants are roughly divided into pigments and dyes, and are blended to color the coating film. The fast curability depends on the polymerizable compound, and many compositions for improving the performance have been proposed (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
However, although the composition described in Patent Document 1 is improved in terms of rapid curing, the viscosity as an ink composition is high, and when used for inkjet printing, ejection from a nozzle is difficult or nozzle clogging occurs. There is a problem that the ejection property is poor.
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a polymerizable compound for ink jet printing ink capable of high-speed printing, which is excellent in dischargeability from a nozzle and quick curability by actinic ray irradiation. [Evaluation of coating curability]
Each ink composition for ink jet printing obtained in Examples 4 to 9 and Comparative Examples 1 and 2 was subjected to surface treatment on a PET (polyethylene terephthalate) film having a thickness of 100 μm [Cosmo Shine A4300 manufactured by Toyobo Co., Ltd.] It apply | coated so that it might become a film thickness of 20 micrometers using the applicator. About the exposure, it implemented using the following 2 types of irradiation apparatuses.
(1) Exposure was performed using a belt conveyor type UV irradiation device (“ECS-151U” manufactured by Eye Graphics Co., Ltd.). The exposure amount was 150 mJ / cm 2 at 365 nm.
(2) Exposure was performed using a spot type LED irradiation device (“RX FireFlex” manufactured by Foseon Technology). The exposure amount was 150 mJ / cm 2 .
Table 1 shows the results of evaluating the curability immediately after light irradiation of the coating film after curing and 5 minutes after light irradiation with the following evaluation criteria by scratching with a finger touch and nails.
A: There is no tack on the surface and it is not damaged by the nail.
○: There is no tack on the surface, but the nail is damaged.
Δ: There is tack on the surface and it is damaged by the nail.
X: Uncured.
[Ejection evaluation]
Each ink composition for ink jet printing obtained in Examples 4 to 6 and Comparative Examples 1 and 2 was ejected using an ejectability evaluation apparatus (“Inkjet Discharge Experiment Kit; IJHC-10” manufactured by Microjet Co., Ltd.). Table 1 shows the results of evaluation according to the following criteria.
