前記負荷が前記所定の負荷値より大きい重負荷である時動作するPWMモード回路を備える。

Claims (6)
- 出力端に接続された負荷が所定の負荷値以下の軽負荷である時に動作するバーストモード回路と、
前記負荷が前記所定の負荷値より大きい重負荷である時に動作するPWMモード回路を備え、
前記バーストモード回路は前記出力端から入力されるフィードバック電圧が高電位基準電圧まで上昇する期間に前記出力端の電圧をスイッチングすることと共に、あらかじめ設定された分周値で分周された周波数のスイッチスタート信号を発生し前記スイッチスタート信号によって前記出力端の電圧をスイッチングし、
前記PWMモード回路はランプ波電圧が前記フィードバック電圧と所定のPWMモード基準電圧の差電圧より大きい期間に前記出力端の電圧をスイッチングし、
前記バーストモード回路は、
前記高電位基準電圧と前記フィードバック電圧を比較する第1比較器と、
低電位基準電圧と前記フィードバック電圧を比較する第2比較器と、
前記出力端と基底電圧源の間で流れる電流を感知する第3比較器と、
前記第3比較器の出力によって可変される周波数の信号を発生する周波数発生部と、
前記分周値で前記周波数発生部から入力される信号の周波数を分周して前記スイッチスタート信号を発生する周波数変換部と、
前記フィードバック電圧が前記高電位基準電圧に到達されるまで上昇する期間と前記周波数変換部の出力に応答してスイッチオンパルスを出力するロジック部と、
前記ロジック部にから入力されたスイッチオンパルスに応答して前記出力端と基底電圧源の間の電流パスをスイッチングするためのトランジスタをターン−オンさせる駆動部を備えることを特徴とするDC−DCコンバータ。 - 前記ロジック部は、
前記フィードバック電圧が立下り前記周波数変換部の出力がない期間に前記スイッチオンパルスの出力を止めることを特徴とする請求項1記載のDC−DCコンバータ。 - 前記バーストモード回路は、
所定のモード基準電圧と前記第3演算増幅器の出力電圧を比べてその差にあたる電圧を前記ロジック部に出力する第4演算増幅器をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項2記載のDC−DCコンバータ。 - 前記ロジック部は、
前記第4演算増幅器の出力を入力受けて前記出力端に接続された負荷が軽負荷である時前記スイッチオンパルスの出力を止めることを特徴とする請求項3記載のDC−DCコンバータ。 - データラインとスキャンラインが交差されマトリックス形態に配置されたピクセルを含む表示パネルと、
デジタルビデオデータをデータ電圧で変換し前記データラインに供給するデータ駆動部と、
前記データ電圧と同期されるスキャンパルスを前記スキャンラインに順次に供給するスキャン駆動部と、
前記デジタルビデオデータを前記データ駆動部に供給して前記データ駆動部と前記スキャン駆動部の動作タイミングを制御するタイミングコントローラと、
前記表示パネルの駆動に必要な直流電源を発生し前記直流電源を出力端を通じて前記表示パネルに供給するDC−DCコンバータを備え、
前記DC−DCコンバータは、
前記出力端に接続された表示パネルの負荷が所定の負荷値以下の軽負荷である時バーストモードで動作して前記出力端から入力されるフィードバック電圧が高電位基準電圧まで上昇する期間に前記出力端の電圧をスイッチングすることと共に、あらかじめ設定された分周値で分周された周波数のスイッチスタート信号を発生して前記スイッチスタート信号によって前記出力端の電圧をスイッチングし、
前記表示パネルの負荷が前記所定の負荷値より大きい重負荷である時PWMモードで動作してランプ波電圧が前記フィードバック電圧と所定のPWMモード基準電圧の差電圧より大きい期間に前記出力端の電圧をスイッチングし、
前記DC−DCコンバータは、
前記高電位基準電圧と前記フィードバック電圧を比較する第1比較器と、
低電位基準電圧と前記フィードバック電圧を比較する第2比較器と、
前記出力端と基底電圧源の間で流れる電流を感知する第3比較器と、
前記第3比較器の出力によって可変される周波数の信号を発生する周波数発生部と、
前記分周値で前記周波数発生部から入力される信号の周波数を分周して前記スイッチスタート信号を発生する周波数変換部と、
前記フィードバック電圧が前記高電位基準電圧に到達されるまで上昇する期間と前記周波数変換部の出力に応答してスイッチオンパルスを出力するロジック部と、
前記ロジック部にから入力されたスイッチオンパルスに応答して前記出力端と基底電圧源の間の電流パスをスイッチングするためのトランジスタをターン−オンさせる駆動部を備えることを特徴とする表示装置。 - 前記表示パネルは液晶表示装置(LCD)、有機発光ダイオード表示装置(OLED)、電気泳動表示装置(EPD)のうちのいずれか一つの表示パネルであることを特徴とする請求項5記載の表示装置。
