Claims (5)
- 一対の基板の基板間に封入された分散媒中に分散され、絶対値が第1の閾値以上の第1の電圧が前記基板間に印加されることにより移動する第1の粒子群と、前記第1の粒子群と色が異なり、前記分散媒中に分散され、絶対値が前記第1の閾値より小さい第2の閾値以上の第2の電圧が前記基板間に印加されることにより移動する第2の粒子群と、を有する表示媒体に対して、
前記第1の電圧を印加して前記第1の粒子群を移動させた後に前記第2の電圧を印加して前記第2の粒子群を移動させる場合、予め定められた複数の前記第1の電圧の電圧値及び電圧印加時間のうち、前記第1の電圧を印加した後に前記第2の電圧を前記基板間に印加しても前記第1の粒子群が移動せず且つ最も駆動エネルギーが低くなる前記第1の電圧の電圧値及び電圧印加時間を設定する設定手段と、
前記設定手段により設定された前記第1の電圧を前記基板間に印加した後、前記第2の電圧を前記基板間に印加する電圧印加手段と、
を備えた表示媒体の駆動装置。 - 前記設定手段は、前記第1の電圧の電圧値を固定にすると共に、前記第2の粒子群の表示濃度に応じて、前記第1の電圧の前記電圧印加時間を変更する
請求項1記載の表示媒体の駆動装置。 - 前記電圧印加手段が、
前記第1の粒子群が前記一対の基板のうち一方の基板に移動し且つ前記第2の粒子群が前記一対の基板のうち他方の基板に移動するように前記第1の電圧を前記基板間に印加し、
前記設定手段により設定された前記第1の電圧であって、前記第1の粒子群の表示濃度に応じた前記第1の電圧を前記基板間に印加し、
絶対値が前記第1の閾値未満で且つ前記第2の閾値以上の前記第2の電圧であって、前記第2の粒子群の表示濃度に応じた前記第2の電圧を前記基板間に印加する
請求項1又は請求項2記載の表示媒体の駆動装置。 - コンピュータを、請求項1〜請求項3の何れか1項に記載の表示媒体の駆動装置を構成する各手段として機能させるための表示媒体の駆動プログラム。
- 一対の基板と、前記一対の基板間に封入された分散媒中に分散され且つ前記基板間に形成された電界に応じて前記基板間を移動するように前記基板間に封入された色及び帯電極性が異なる複数種類の粒子群と、を有する表示媒体と、
前記請求項1〜請求項3の何れか1項に記載の前記表示媒体の駆動装置と、
を備えた表示装置。
