Claims (4)
- ガラスシートの形成方法であって、
10,000パスカル秒(100,000ポアズ)未満の液相線粘度を有する溶融ガラスを、導電性部材を尖端近傍の内部に備えかつ尖端において収斂する成形用表面を備えた成形用楔状体の表面上に流す工程、
前記導電性部材に電流を流すことにより、前記成形用楔状体の尖端近傍を加熱する工程、
前記溶融ガラスの表面を前記尖端の上方で冷却する工程、
を含み、
前記電流を流す間、前記導電性部材は前記溶融ガラスに接触せず、
該加熱および冷却が、前記溶融ガラスの厚みを通して20℃を超える温度差を生じさせる効力があることを特徴とする、ガラスシートの形成方法。 - 前記溶融ガラスの歪み点が少なくとも665℃であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記温度差が40℃を超えることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の方法。
- 前記冷却は、冷却液を冷却部材を通して流すことにより行い、前記溶融ガラスと前記冷却部材の間に拡散部材が配されることを特徴とする請求項1から3いずれか1項記載の方法。
