Description
図1A〜Cは本発明に従う光学乾燥フィルムの例を示す;および
図2A〜Fは、本発明に従う様々な形成段階での光学機能を有するプリント配線板の例を示す。
実施例1〜6
各実施例について組成物を形成するために以下に記載される成分を混合により組み合わせる。組成物を50μm厚さのポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)キャリア基体フィルム上にローラーコーティングして、100μmの湿潤厚さにし、対流オーブン中で30分間90℃で乾燥し、50μmの厚さにした。25μmの厚さのポリエチレン(PE)保護カバー層を、コーティングされた層の表面にローラーで適用して、乾燥フィルムを作る。乾燥フィルムを巻いて、例えば図1Cに示すようなロール形態にする。
ローラーコーティングの前に、前面PE保護カバー層の代わりに5μmのシリコーンリリース層でPET基体の裏面をコーティングする以外は実施例1〜6の手順および物質を繰り返し行う。
基体が、前面PE保護カバー層の代わりに、ポリエチレンをその裏面に含浸させた125μm厚さのクラフト紙である以外は、実施例1〜6の手順および物質を繰り返し行う。
実施例19〜36
a.ボトムクラッド形成
その上に回路を含む30mg/cm2銅箔クラッドプリント配線板をホットロールラミネーター中に入れる。前面PE保護カバー層(存在する場合)を表1に記載される残るボトムクラッド(「クラッド1」)乾燥フィルムから除去する。乾燥フィルムのポリマー層をプリント配線板上の銅表面に接して置き、乾燥フィルムをホットロールラミネーター中でプリント配線板に30cm/分、20psi(1.4kg/cm2)、100℃で積層化させる。PETフィルムを構造物から除去し、プリント配線板を180℃の対流オーブン中に60分間入れて層を熱硬化させ、かくしてプリント配線板上にボトムクラッド層を形成する。
以下に記載される各成分を混合により組み合わせることによりコア組成物A〜Fが形成される。ボトムクラッド層で積層されたプリント配線板のそれぞれを、表1において詳細に記載されるコア組成物A〜Fのうちの1つでローラーコーティングして厚さ50μmにし、対流オーブン中90℃で30分間空気中で乾燥する。プリント配線板を、90℃の出発温度で空気中でアニールし、1分間に2℃の割合で室温に下降させる。ポリマーコア層を500mJ/cm2のハロゲン化水銀ランプからの化学線に、幅25〜250μmの2〜30cmの開口部を含むコアパターンを含有するマスクを通して露光する。プリント配線板を90℃の対流オーブン中に20分間入れ、穏やかに撹拌しながら0.7N NaOH現像剤溶液中に室温で2.5分間入れる。プリント配線板をDI水中で洗浄し、エアナイフで乾燥する。これを次いで180℃の対流オーブン中60分間硬化させると、結果として複数の導波路コアが導波路ボトムクラッド層上に得られる。
ボトムクラッド層について上述された同じ手順を用いて、表1に示すようにボトムクラッド層とコア構造上にトップクラッド(「クラッド2」)層を形成する。これによりプリント配線板基体上に導波路構造が形成される。

Claims (9)
- 光学部品の形成における使用に適した乾燥フィルムであって:
前面および裏面を有するキャリア基体;
キャリア基体の前面上のフォトイメージ可能でない熱硬化性ポリマー層であって、熱酸生成物質および式(RSiO1.5)(式中、Rは置換または非置換有機基である)の単位を含む、当該ポリマー層;および
キャリア基体の前面または裏面上の保護カバー層を含む乾燥フィルム。 - 熱酸生成物質がブロックされた酸エステルである請求項1に記載の乾燥フィルム。
- キャリア基体がポリマーフィルムである請求項1〜2のいずれか1つに記載の乾燥フィルム。
- 乾燥フィルムが巻かれた形態である請求項1〜3のいずれか1つに記載の乾燥フィルム。
- 保護カバー層がキャリア基体の裏面上に配置される請求項1〜4のいずれか1つに記載の乾燥フィルム。
- 光学デバイスを形成する方法であって:
(a)キャリア基体とフォトイメージ可能でない熱硬化性ポリマー層とを含む乾燥フィルムを第一基体上に適用すること(ここで、該ポリマー層は、熱酸生成物質および式(RSiO1.5)(式中、Rは置換または非置換有機基である)の単位を含む);および
(b)(a)の後、ポリマー層の少なくとも一部を熱硬化させること
を含む方法。 - 光学デバイスが、コアおよびクラッドを含む光導波路であり、クラッドは、熱硬化したポリマー層を含む請求項6に記載の方法。
- ポリマー層が光導波路のボトムクラッド層を形成し、コアがボトムクラッド層上に配置される請求項7に記載の方法であって、ボトムクラッド層およびコア上に、キャリア基体およびフォトイメージ可能でない熱硬化性ポリマー層を含む第二の乾燥フィルムを適用することをさらに含み、ポリマー層が熱酸生成物質および式(R1SiO1.5)(式中、R1は置換または非置換有機基であり、Rと同じであるかまたは異なる)の単位を含む方法。
- 第一基体がプリント配線板基体である請求項6〜8のいずれか1つに記載の方法。
