Description
図1はこの発明の一実施の形態による薄板液晶表示パネルの製造方法の製造工程を概略的に示す図である。以下、図に従って製造方法を説明する。まず(a)に示すように、一対の薄板ガラス基板である第1および第2薄板ガラス基板11,21と、第1および第2補強基板12,22を準備する。補強基板12,22はガラス基板又は金属板からなる。薄板ガラス基板11,21の板厚はそれぞれ例えば約0.3mm、補強基板12,22の板厚はそれぞれ例えば約1mmである。
Claims (1)
- 一対の薄板ガラス基板にそれぞれ補強基板を貼り合わせて固定する工程と、
各薄板ガラス基板に薄板液晶表示パネル複数個分の基板を形成するために、補強基板が貼り合わされた一対の薄板ガラス基板の一方にカラーフィルタ工程、他方にTFT−アレイ工程によるそれぞれ表示制御部品を形成する工程と、
補強基板が貼り合わされた一対の薄板ガラス基板を表示制御部品が形成された薄板ガラス基板が内側になるように向かい合わせにして間に液晶を充填させるようにして貼り合わせて組み立て、シール材により封着する工程と、
封着された一対の薄板ガラス基板からそれぞれ補強基板を取り外す工程と、
補強基板が取り外された封着された薄板ガラス基板に1個分の薄板液晶表示パネルの基板ごとに切り出すためのカットを入れた後、1個分の薄板液晶表示パネルの基板を切り出す工程と、
を備え、
補強基板が金属板からなり、
補強基板が薄板ガラス基板に複数のクリップにより重ねた状態で固定され、補強基板が薄板ガラス基板の4つの端辺に、複数のクリップにより固定される、
ことを特徴とする薄板液晶表示パネルの製造方法。
