Description
Claims (9)
- 受信器により、受信された光信号に関連する伝送障害が光信号を伝播する光ファイバの偏光効果に関係しているかどうかを判定するための方法であって、
偏波モード分散補償器(PMDC)フィードバック信号のレベルと変化率を求めるステップと、
この受信した光信号を電気信号に変換するステップと、
前方誤り訂正の復号器によってこの電気信号のビット誤り率(BER)を求めるステップと、
PMDCフィードバック信号のレベルとPMDCフィードバック信号の変化率およびBERを解析して、それにより伝送障害を判定するステップとを含む、方法。 - PMDCフィードバック信号のレベルと変化率を求める前にPMDCを使用してPMDを補償するステップをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- PMDCがPMDを適正に補償している状態に対応する高いレベルのPMDCフィードバック信号と低いBERが、受信器の通常動作を示す、請求項1に記載の方法。
- PMDCがPMDを適正に補償している状態に対応する高いレベルのPMDCフィードバック信号と高いBERが、伝送障害は、偏波モード分散に関係していないことを示す、請求項1に記載の方法。
- PMDCがPMDを補償していない状態に対応する低いレベルのPMDCフィードバック信号と高いBERが、伝送障害は、偏波モード分散が高すぎて、受信器が補償できない偏光効果に関係することを示す、請求項1に記載の方法。
- PMDCフィードバック信号のレベルの突然の減少およびBERの突然の増加が、伝送障害は、光信号の偏光状態の変化の速度が受信器には余りに速い偏光効果に関係することを示す、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 光信号を受信し、光信号に関連する伝送障害が光信号を伝播する光ファイバの偏光効果に関係しているかどうかを判定するための光受信器であって、
受信した光信号を補償するように構成された偏波モード分散補償器(PMDC)と、
補償された光信号を電気信号へ変換するように構成された光から電気への変換器と、
電気信号のビット誤り率(BER)を求めるように構成された前方誤り訂正の復号器と、
PMDCのPMDCフィードバック信号のレベルと変化率を求め、
BERを求め、
PMDCフィードバック信号のレベルとPMDCフィードバック信号の変化率およびBERを解析して、それにより伝送障害を判定する、
ように構成された制御器とを備えた、光受信器。 - 光信号を送信するように構成された送信器と、
光信号を伝播するように構成された伝送リンクと、
光信号を受信し、光信号に関連する伝送障害が光信号を伝播する伝送リンクの偏光効果に関係しているかどうかを判定するように構成された光受信器とを備え、
前記光受信器が、
偏波モード分散補償器(PMDC)フィードバック信号のレベルと変化率を求め、
この受信した光信号を電気信号に変換し、
前方誤り訂正の復号器によってこの電気信号のビット誤り率(BER)を求め、
PMDCフィードバック信号のレベルとPMDCフィードバック信号の変化率およびBERを解析して、それにより伝送障害を判定する、ように構成されている、光ネットワーク。 - 伝送リンクがリピータを含む、請求項8に記載の光ネットワーク。
